Once upon a time Lord Dakshinamoorthy came down as a Sathguru…. He had many disciples…. He visited the disciples many many times…. He interacted well with the disciples… He told many stories about the disciples of the past and his divine connections with them…. The disciples heard the stories as just stories and never heeded to what was told…. The disciples were full of ego, possessiveness, arrogance and indulged in mud slinging among themselves… They were more selfish and the greed in them wanted the Lord/Sathguru all for themselves individually…. They never realized that the Lord has come in the form of Sathguru to promote peace and harmony in the world…. The Lord wanted to give them each the satisfaction of serving the world and humanity…. So he gave importance to each one of them…. This resulted in demonstration of ego and fight among themselves…. By the time they realized that it was the Lord among them in human form, the Lord smiled and vanished…. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------------------------------The Master…. The Captain of the ship…. *********************************************** There was a large ship carrying a number of people on a cruise across the ocean…. People were `Enjoying…. dancing…. exchanging pleasantries…. introducing each other…. Lot of fun and frolic…. some were dancing on the deck,... some were playing tennis on the deck some were swimming in the swimming fool on the deck…. some were dining and tasty exotic dishes... the Captain was at the control room watching all this and smiling…. He was at the wheels steering the ship across the ocean…. At this time it happened… a perfect storm…. the sea became 1 turbulent…. the tidal waves started growing…. there was a lot of lightning thunder and rain…. dark clouds all around…. The big ship started dancing amorously in the troubled waters…. All panicked and rushed to the control room to meet the Captain…. The Captain was not at wheels…. He was casually lying on a easy chair (In Western countries 'The lazy boy' as it is called)…. Long since he had smoked a cigar…. So he took a cigar, lighted it and was enjoying the smoke…. The travellers were stunned at the easy going attitude of the Captain and asked…. 'Oh! Captain…. Do some thing…. It's the storm… we are all fearing of our safety….. The Captain smiled and said…. 'When things were alright and you people were merry making you found me standing at the wheels controlling the ship…. Actually it was just a drama…. It looked as though I am in control…. When things were alright and smooth, it looked as though I was in control but the fact is only the Lord was taking care and there was nothing for me to do…. When the ship is now facing a perfect strom also, I am not in control of the ship, it's the Lord who takes care…. Nothing is under my control whether things are smooth or rough…. Under all conditions it's the Lord who is taking care of the ship and figuratively I am designated as Captain…. I have undertaken many journeys across the ocean and I learnt this with his grace that nothing is under our control and the controller is the Lord who controls everything…. If any of you would like to smoke cigars, I have plenty of them and you can have and enjoy the smoke…. Just keep praying…. Every thing will subside in no time…. The journey on ship is like journey in life…. Neither I am too happy when things are okay nor I am too sad when things go awry…. It's the grace of the Lord I strike a balance between the two…. I learnt that the eternal joy to be in the middle so have faith and move on…. the clarity will soon dawn’ As the Captain said this the sea became normal and the storm 2 had crossed…. The Captain of the ship….the wonderful Master…….Lord's grace…. She….Master, depression is attacking me periodically… Me…. You also attack it periodically………..LOL Angles and demons….some times you are angelic and some times you are demonic…. The one who had the vision of light smiles at you…. This enlightened one does nothing….He doesn't condition you….He allows you to go through all that experiences of both angle and demon…. He doesn't tamper with your experience since he knows they are important for you to transcend the limitations of angle and demon…. He knows too well that he too underwent all that before the final deliverance…. He is affectionately called by you as 'M A S T E R’.... Master will never feed your intellect…. He wants you to be wise but not intellectual…. intellect when fed leads to intellectual arrogance and ego…. Master is dead against this…. So exhibition of intellect will be dealt with severely by the Master and he will make the disciple to bend on his knees…. So don't demonstrate your ego or intellect to the Master…. Don't look at a Sathguru with your dirty mind…. If you go to a Master with a dirty mind, for sure he will reject you in his own way…. He will scare your mind…. Go to a Master with a golden heart and not in your dirty mind…. A monk was a great sculptor… he was using chisel and hammer to create a statue of God….. the disciple was wondering at the way the Master was sculpting…. Finally came a beautiful image of God…. Disciple …. Oh! Master, how wonderfully you have sculpted 3 the Lord. Master …. Hahahaha…. I didn't sculpt… already the statue was hiding inside the rock…. I just happened to remove the unwanted pieces…. One needs a lot of courage to be with a Master because Master is very courageous…. He/she is not a coward…. Master's ways are unique…. and every Master is unique…. They cannot be compared…. Some times their ways are very rebellious….Master's ways are always mysterious….they don't conform to the so called logical thinking…. To mend the ways of the 'Disciple' and bring him to the Lord's fold, Master takes a very arduous journey…. His main aim is to make the disciple closer to truth so that the disciple can have glimpse of the beautiful cosmic reality called 'GOD'…. It will be futile for any one to predict his actions…. So the disciple must be prepared to 'expect the unexpected' from Master…. Disciple means 'discipline'…. From the word 'discipline' comes 'disciple'…. After living with the Master for many many years, the 'devotee' has a better view of the Master than a 'disciple'…. At this stage in fact there is no verbal communication between the Master and the devotee.... it is all telepathy... that is the shape where the disciple really lives existence... No more of any physical longing to see the Master exists…. The devotee experiences the Master inside….. Now the devotee is just bubbling with faith and wonder…absolutely reasoning stops…… this is the stage where the 'disciple' turned 'devotee' experiences GOD…. Lord Dakshinamurthy… Lords will….Mercy…..and Grace…. Lord Krishna…. I just blow my conch …. The time has come for me to blow it…. So I blew the conch…. but Arjuna, only when your time comes you will listen to it….. till such time you will only hear it…. Arjuna…. I don't understand my Lord…. 4 Lord Krishna… That's why I said till such time comes you can only hear but not listen…. A disciple went to heaven….he was taken to a room……lots of clocks…. Disciple…. What are these clocks for? Angel… Every human being born in the world is represented by a clock…..If any one tells a lie , the second hand of the clock will move once…. And so on and so forth… from this we get to know how truthful the person has lived in his life…. Disciple…. My Guru is still alive on earth…. Can I see his clock… he used to talk a lot on truth etc., I am just curious to know angel…. Sorry…your Guru's clock is not here…. Disciple... Why? Angel…. God is using it as ceiling fan in his room…….

  • Greatness of Nama What Is Nama? "Nama" Means Name. the Word
Greatness of Nama What is Nama? "Nama" means Name. The word name has evolved from the Sanskrit word "Nama". Nama or name refers to the name of a person, place or thing. Without a name, unique identification of entities in the world is not possible and without identification communication is not possible and without communication nothing is possible in this world. The whole world will come to stand still. So is the importance of the Name. When you call a person by his name, immediately he responds by some means. When human beings respond to a call by his/her name, what will happen when you call God by his name? God the loving mother of all creatures (Movable or immovable) will definitely respond to your call. In fact He is waiting for your call… But we never call Him. How do we make our call reach him? God exists in two forms. 1. Saguna – With name and form (Bhagwan) 2. Nirguna – Nameless and formless (Bhrama Swaroopam) The nirguna bhramam being nameless and formless in nature, worshipping or loving the nirguna bhramam is not possible. We humans, beings the highest creation of God cannot do it, no need to mention about other creatures. So, the nirguna bhramam due to its endless love and mercy entered into a stage where in it have numerous forms with numerous names. At this level it is called as Saguna bhramam or Bhagwan. Bhagwan can be loved and worshipped. Bhagwan has numerous names, he can be called upon by any names and he can be worshipped in any forms.

  • 24. Glorify the Lord's Name
    24. Glorify the Lord's Name EMBODIMENTS of Love! Only when we realise the preciousness of the diamond will we take care to safeguard it. Likewise only when we are aware of the value of chanting the Lord's name will we make the effort to practise it and benefit from it. Devotees recite or sing the names of the Lord in two ways. One is Keerthanam and the other is Sankeerthanam. Keerthanam is done individually and benefits only the devotee concerned.' Sankeerthanam is done collectively for the good of the world as a whole. Keerthanam is of various kinds. First is Guna Keerthana---praising the qualities and attributes of God through song. Second is Bhava Keerthana---expressing the inner feelings and emotions of the devotee. Reflecting the feelings of peace, companionship, yearning, filial love or sweetness experienced by the devotee, these songs give vent to the emotional outpouring of the devotee. The third is Leela Sankeerthanam--praising in song the sports and divine play of the Lord. This is done through singing the Ashtapadi (of Jayadeva) or describing the sports and miraculous deeds of the Lord. The rasa krida is also in this category. The fourth is Nama Sankeerthanam--- singing the names of the Lord. This is the most efficacious of all forms of devotional singing. But in actual practice the devotees derive joy from singing all types of devotional songs. Special significance of Nama Sankeerthana What is the special significance of Nama Sankeethana---singing the names of the Lord? "Nama" is made up of three letters: "Na" "aa", "ma".

  • 1. the Love of God
    1. The Love of God One may be a master of all the Scriptures And competent to teach the Vedanta; One may be a great ruler Living in a many-splendoured mansion; One may be a valiant hero Who has vanquished his enemies; Or one may be a pitiable Victim of poverty and privation. If he has no devotion in him His life is devoid of meaning. A servant who is filled with love of the Lord Is more to be adored than the overlord of the world. "BHAKTI is service to Hrishikesa," it has been said. Service to God has been described as Bhakti. The heart of the devotee flows with love of the Lord through constant remembrance and recitation of His name. Out of this stream of love, devotion emerges. One who is nourished by the nectar of Bhakti will have no desire for anything else. To be unaffected by joy or sorrow, gain or loss, praise or blame, to remain steadfast and unwavering in faith, is the hall-mark of true devotion. Affection, attachment, desire are natural qualities in man. When these qualities are directed towards God and when one is continuously engaged in good deeds, these qualities acquire purity and sacredness. Then a man becomes not only a great soul but can become divine. State of mind of a devotee The devotee is ever conscious that the universe is a manifestation of the Divine and is permeated by the Divine. His life is based on the recognition of the immanence of God in everything. This state of mind is called "Prema Advaitam" (unity in Love.) Through this love the devotee experiences his oneness with the Divine.
