HDFC to buy 51.2% in Apollo Munich Health for Rs. 1,347 crore  The Housing Development Finance Corporation (HDFC) has announced that it will soon acquire 51.2 percent stake in Apollo Munich Health Insurance from the Apollo Hospitals Group at about Rs. 1,347 crore.  It will be a two-stage transaction where in the first stage, Apollo Munich would be held as a subsidiary of HDFC and later in the second stage, it would be merged with HDFC Ergo General Insurance to form one entity under the HDFC Ergo brand. NITI Aayog plans to convert three-wheelers to EVs by 2023 and 2-wheelers below 150cc by 2025  The manufacturers and start-up Electric Vehicle (EV) makers called by National Institution for Transforming India (NITI) Aayog, Government‟s think tank, it planned for the transition to full Electric Vehicles (EVs) for three-wheelers by 2023 and two-wheelers with an engine capacity less than 150 cc (Cubic Centimeter) by 2025. Canara Bank updated the rules for cash deposits and withdrawals  Canara Bank has issued new rules for its customers regarding cash deposits and withdrawals effective from July 1, 2019.  The customers of the bank can deposit cash in Savings bank account up to Rs 50,000 for free only thrice a month and the fourth transaction will be charged.  This is done to encourage digital transactions and it coincides with transaction charges on National Electronic Funds Transfer (NEFT) and Real Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) being waived off complying with Reserve Bank of India‟s guidelines from July 1, 2019. Key Points:  From the fourth transaction or for cash deposits over Rs 50,000, there will be a service charge of Rs 1 per thousand, with a minimum of Rs 50 and a maximum of Rs 5,000 plus GST (Good and Service Tax).  For current account/overdraft/open cash credit account holders a minimum Rs 100 will be charged on the withdrawal of Rs 5 lakh or more in a month.  Service charges will not be applicable to pensioners, senior citizens, Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana beneficiaries and zero balance account holders. The merger of IndusInd Bank-Bharat Financial effective from July 4  The merger of Mumbai based Private sector lender ,IndusInd Bank and country‟s leading micro- finance player, Bharat Financial Inclusion Ltd (BFIL) of Hyderabad will be effective on July 4, 2019.
