Jean-Dominique Senard, Chief Executive Officer, said: “Michelin achieved strong growth in the first half of the year by leveraging its broader portfolio of solutions, by expanding access to customers and by capturing the rising demand in its traditional markets. The success of our most recent lines, like the MICHELIN CrossClimate and the new BFGoodrich tires, as well as our strengthened positions in the original equipment segment, confirm the importance of innovation for the Group’s growth. Combined with the expected deployment of the competitiveness plan, Michelin can confirm its full-year guidance.” Outlook for 2015 With tire demand expected to remain on an upward trend in mature regions but more challenging in new markets, Michelin’s objective for the second half is to pursue the growth trends observed in the first six months of the year. Changes in price mix and raw materials prices are expected to have over the full year a net negative effect on the businesses subject to contractual raw materials indexation clauses and a net neutral effect on the remaining businesses. The sustained deployment of the competitiveness plan will help to offset cost inflation over the year. The Group confirms its target of delivering an increase in operating income before non-recurring income excluding the currency effect, a return on capital employed in excess of 11%, and structural free cash flow of more than €700 million, while pursuing a capital expenditure program totaling around €1.8 billion. • The PEUGEOT 2008 DKR Clocks up Testing Kilometres in France
The PEUGEOT 2008 DKR clocks up testing kilometres in France As the countdown to the 2015 Dakar Rally begins to accelerate, the Peugeot- Total squad is continuing to develop the fearsome PEUGEOT 2008 DKR at a frenetic pace with its three star drivers, including Cyril Despres, who is getting to grips with competing on four wheels for the first time. From 7am, Team Peugeot-Total is in action. Like a commando unit on a mission, the mechanics invade the test centre at Château Lastours, where the PEUGEOT 2008 DKR is about to begin a new phase of its development – generating impatience and anticipation in equal measure. Every single minute counts. For the first time, the three crews that constitute Peugeot’s dream team will all take turns behind the wheel. Following shakedown tests at Freneuse, Montlhéry and Creusot elsewhere in France, the beast now has the opportunity to demonstrate its mettle across rocky terrain that offers a foretaste of the kind of adventure that awaits it in South America. Now that Carlos Sainz has drawn upon his experience to identify the inevitable initial teething troubles, his two new team-mates have also come along to help out. On the programme is validation of the modifications made to the chassis and cooling system. Stéphane Peterhansel settles into the high-perched cockpit of his new mount. The French multiple Dakar winner wastes little time in heading towards this track, which represents a real challenge – even for a vehicle that aspires to the life of a trailblazer. As the kilometres pass by, Stéphane confesses to experiencing a genuine culture shock: “Switching over to two-wheel-drive changes everything!” he cheerfully reflects.

Press Release JANUARY 05, 2015 Renault Duster Team already in the top 5 at Dakar Rally The Renault Duster Team made a sensational start to the 2015 Dakar Rally. The Emiliano Spataro/Benjamín Lozada crew ended the first leg in fifth place, alongside some of the top specialists of the legendary offroad Rally, held in South America. Emiliano Spataro and Benjamín Lozada produced a fantastic performance on Sunday’s opening leg of the 2015 Dakar Rally. Driving the Renault Duster entered by Renault Argentina, with the support of Renault Sport Technologies, the South American crew reached Villa Carlos Paz in sixth position, before gaining an extra place after a penalty was handed to Nasser AlAttiyah. They therefore hold fifth place overall, less than minute behind the leader, Orlando Terranova, and only fourteen seconds adrift of second place, whilst also ending the leg ahead of some very accomplished drivers, such as former winners Carlos Sainz and Stéphane Peterhansel. This is the best result recorded by the Renault Duster Team at this stage since its debut in 2013. Last year, José García and Mauricio Malano were ninth overall after the first leg. García and Malano, in the second Renault Duster, also made a good start on Sunday in Argentina. However, held up by poor visibility and difficulties in overtaking the cars ahead of them on the road, they ended the first leg in 37th position, less than 14 minutes off the lead. Overall standings after the first leg, Buenos Aires – Villa Carlos Paz – Dakar 2015 1. Terranova – Graue (Mini) 1:13:12 2.
