Press Release 24 October 2015 MINI ALL4 Racing and Nasser Al-Attiyah Press Release 24 October 2015 MINI ALL4 Racing and Nasser Al-Attiyah crowned champions of 2015 FIA Cross Country Rally World Cup // MINI and its MINI ALL4 Racing secures fourth consecutive FIA Cross Country Rally World Cup title with Nasser Al-Attiyah at the wheel Munich (DE). MINI ALL4 Racing driver Nasser Al-Attiyah (QAT) is officially crowned winner of the 2015 FIA Cross Country Rally World Cup – a victory shared with his regular co-driver Mathieu Baumel (FRA). With this momentous achievement, MINI is also confirmed as winner of the ‘Manufacturer’ title within the World Cup. MINI with its MINI ALL4 Racing has now achieved an enviable four consecutive (2011-2015) title wins in this prestigious championship. Official confirmation of these two major World Cup wins comes directly after the tenth and final round of the 2015 FIA Cross Country Rally World Cup – the Baja Portalegre 500 (22 nd -24 th October) held in Portugal. Once again this popular race on the World Cup calendar featured a MINI ALL4 Racing (#516) in the race line up. Chilean Boris Garafulic and Portuguese navigator Filipe Palmeiro finished 5th and assisted greatly with race preparations ahead of the 2016 Dakar Rally. MINI ALL4 Racing driver Nasser Al-Attiyah took the 2015 FIA Cross Country Rally World Cup title in emphatic style by amassing an unbeatable 201 points lead by round nine (Rallye du Maroc, 3-9th October) of the 10 round series. Needless to say Al-Attiyah was extremely happy with the official result… “This season has been a good season for MINI and me. The best race for me was Qatar because this was a home win. There have been some tough moments but we quickly forget what happened and come back more strongly for all the other events. To win the World Cup and the Dakar Rally is fantastic and says we – Mathieu and me – sure are the best crew in cross- country with the best car. The MINI ALL4 Racing has a lot of experience with the X-raid team behind it; the best team in World Cup cross-country. My aim now is to win the Dakar again.” Victory in the 2015 FIA Cross Country Rally World Cup can be classed as icing on the cake following a glorious start to the year when a MINI ALL4 Racing won the grueling 2015 Dakar Rally at the hands of Nasser Al-Attiyah and Mathieu Baumel. This dynamic duo’s success in the Dakar event was shared by eight fellow MINI ALL4 Racing crews who also crossed the finish line – four of which finished in the top five positions. To compete in the 2015 FIA Cross Country Rally World Cup was no less a feat for all of the MINI ALL4 Racing crews. The terrains of snow-packed and ice covered ground in Russia and the sands of the desert events couldn’t be any more different. A sandstorm at the 2015 Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge was severe enough to cause the cancellation of the last leg of the event due to safety fears. The threat of punctures was constant and just one of many challenges to avoid under racing conditions. Despite severe opposing temperatures, high winds and unrelenting rock- strewn valleys and peaks, the durability and reliable performance of the MINI ALL4 Racing once again shone through. Of the nine World Cup races prior to Baja Portalegre 500, the pairing of Nasser Al-Attiyah and Mathieu Baumel won five of these. Three other races of the 2015 FIA Cross Country Rally World Cup were also won by MINI ALL4 Racing. An additional non- championship race (Ruta 40, Argentina) saw a MINI ALL4 Racing one-two finish. The 2015 season of the World Cup also saw a dramatic move by MINI to introduce new blood to the race-proven MINI ALL4 Racing. Mixing it up with favourites such as Orlando Terranova (ARG), Nani Roma (ESP) and Erik Van Loon (NLD), the arrival of Mikko Hirvonen (FIN), Harry Hunt (GBR) and Adam Malysz (POL) produced quality racing and immediate results. To be four times victorious in the FIA Cross Country Rally World Cup – and the Dakar Rally – again proves beyond doubt the MINI ALL4 Racing’s all- round capability. Based on the MINI John Cooper Works Countryman, MINI ALL4 Racing are prepared under the direction of Sven Quandt with technical expertise and much experience by Trebur-based (DE) X-raid. The 2015 World Cup title is now the ninth for X-raid and the eighth in a row. With the 2015 FIA Cross Country Rally World Cup now complete, the cross- country rally world looks towards next year and the 2016 edition of the Dakar Rally (3-16 January 2016). • The PEUGEOT 2008 DKR Clocks up Testing Kilometres in France
The PEUGEOT 2008 DKR clocks up testing kilometres in France As the countdown to the 2015 Dakar Rally begins to accelerate, the Peugeot- Total squad is continuing to develop the fearsome PEUGEOT 2008 DKR at a frenetic pace with its three star drivers, including Cyril Despres, who is getting to grips with competing on four wheels for the first time. From 7am, Team Peugeot-Total is in action. Like a commando unit on a mission, the mechanics invade the test centre at Château Lastours, where the PEUGEOT 2008 DKR is about to begin a new phase of its development – generating impatience and anticipation in equal measure. Every single minute counts. For the first time, the three crews that constitute Peugeot’s dream team will all take turns behind the wheel. Following shakedown tests at Freneuse, Montlhéry and Creusot elsewhere in France, the beast now has the opportunity to demonstrate its mettle across rocky terrain that offers a foretaste of the kind of adventure that awaits it in South America. Now that Carlos Sainz has drawn upon his experience to identify the inevitable initial teething troubles, his two new team-mates have also come along to help out. On the programme is validation of the modifications made to the chassis and cooling system. Stéphane Peterhansel settles into the high-perched cockpit of his new mount. The French multiple Dakar winner wastes little time in heading towards this track, which represents a real challenge – even for a vehicle that aspires to the life of a trailblazer. As the kilometres pass by, Stéphane confesses to experiencing a genuine culture shock: “Switching over to two-wheel-drive changes everything!” he cheerfully reflects.

THE NEW MINI JOHN COOPER WORKS COUNTRYMAN Contact: Mariella Kapsaskis MINI Communications Manager 201.930.3166 [email protected] Rob Duda Director, Peppercomm 908.347.1243 [email protected] EXTREMELY ATHLETIC, EXTREMELY VERSATILE: THE NEW MINI JOHN COOPER WORKS COUNTRYMAN Woodcliff Lake, NJ – January 17, 2017 – The second generation of the MINI Countryman is the biggest and most versatile model in the entire range of the tradition-steeped British brand. And another superlative now applies to the power unit of the MINI John Cooper Works Countryman. With an output of 228 hp, it is the most powerful engine ever to be fitted in a MINI: in combination with the standard all-wheel drive system ALL4 and a robust vehicle concept, it ensures that the latest addition to the family of top John Cooper Works athletes takes the MINI experience to a whole new level – in terms of both race track feeling on the road and extreme driving fun over unsurfaced terrain. The new MINI John Cooper Works Countryman sprints from zero to 60 mph in 6.2 seconds with both the standard 6-speed manual transmission and the optional 8-speed Steptronic Sport Automatic transmission. In doing so it is 0.8 to 0.9 seconds quicker than the MINI Cooper S Countryman ALL4. The superior performance qualities of the new MINI John Cooper Works Countryman are likewise reflected in its elasticity on interim sprints, cornering agility and deceleration performance. These qualities are the product of an overall package that has been compiled based on John Cooper Works racing expertise, including not just the engine and all-wheel drive system but also a sports suspension with 18-inch John Cooper Works light alloy wheels and Brembo sports brake system, special body features to optimize aerodynamic properties and cooling air intake, and a model-specific cockpit with John Cooper Works sports seats.

Press Release JANUARY 05, 2015 Renault Duster Team already in the top 5 at Dakar Rally The Renault Duster Team made a sensational start to the 2015 Dakar Rally. The Emiliano Spataro/Benjamín Lozada crew ended the first leg in fifth place, alongside some of the top specialists of the legendary offroad Rally, held in South America. Emiliano Spataro and Benjamín Lozada produced a fantastic performance on Sunday’s opening leg of the 2015 Dakar Rally. Driving the Renault Duster entered by Renault Argentina, with the support of Renault Sport Technologies, the South American crew reached Villa Carlos Paz in sixth position, before gaining an extra place after a penalty was handed to Nasser AlAttiyah. They therefore hold fifth place overall, less than minute behind the leader, Orlando Terranova, and only fourteen seconds adrift of second place, whilst also ending the leg ahead of some very accomplished drivers, such as former winners Carlos Sainz and Stéphane Peterhansel. This is the best result recorded by the Renault Duster Team at this stage since its debut in 2013. Last year, José García and Mauricio Malano were ninth overall after the first leg. García and Malano, in the second Renault Duster, also made a good start on Sunday in Argentina. However, held up by poor visibility and difficulties in overtaking the cars ahead of them on the road, they ended the first leg in 37th position, less than 14 minutes off the lead. Overall standings after the first leg, Buenos Aires – Villa Carlos Paz – Dakar 2015 1. Terranova – Graue (Mini) 1:13:12 2.

Press Release. 09 January 2015. Nasser Al-Attiyah celebrates third stage win at the 2015 Dakar Rally // MINI scores strong result ahead of the marathon stages. Munich (DE). Nasser Al-Attiyah (QT) and his co-driver Mathieu Baumel (FR) are still the men to beat at the 2015 Dakar Rally. The duo in the MINI ALL4 Racing also won the sixth stage at the toughest event in motorsports. It has been their third stage win at this year’s Dakar so far. Al-Attiyah/Baumel have further extended their lead in the overall classification and are now 11:12 minutes ahead of their closest rivals De Villiers/Von Zitzewitz. Stage six was again short but very demanding. It was characterized by two completely different kinds of soil: The first part of the stage was held on fast gravel roads, towards the stage end the cars had to cross large dunes with very fine sand. Navigation was again the key to success. Joan “Nani” Roma/Michel Périn (ES/FR) once again proved to be great navigators. The 2014 Dakar winners made up a lot of ground on the final kilometres of today’s stage scoring a strong 3rd position. Krzysztof Holowczyc/Xavier Panseri (PL/FR) are still driving at a consistent pace at this year’s Dakar. The duo defended their fourth place in the overall classification. Erik van Loon/Wouter Rosegaar (NL/NL) in another MINI ALL4 Racing are also still within the top ten. They are currently sixth overall. The upcoming weekend will definitely be the toughest challenge of this year’s Dakar.
