uring the mid-1930s Pullman rebuilt 90 steel cars into Parlor-Restaurants Dand 51 sleepers into Section-Restaurant cars. After 1948, most of these cars were sold; however, no matter the railroad, Pullman-trained chefs and waiters continued to provide the service. Menus, china, tableware, and linens were stan- dardized. One- or two-man crews were normally assigned to work the car’s meal and beverage service.The Coach Yard will offer a number of these cars in six different versions for 19 different railroads, plus the Pull- man pool, in HO scale, FACTORY pro-finished: lettered and painted with interiors as per prototype.
