Request: Moving to Kagoshima City for the start of classes in 2021

On March 5, the Japanese government decided to extend the period of the declaration of the state of emergency to March 21 for , , Kanagawa, and . In response to this declaration, we would like to ask all students, as much as possible, to move to Kagoshima City, the center of study, by March 25, in preparation for the start of classes from April 2021. For details, please refer to the following.

If the prefecture you are moving from is still in a state of emergency as of March 25.

Students residing in the prefectures under the state of emergency who have already moved to Kagoshima City by March 25 (Thu) will be able to attend face-to-face classes from April 8 (Thu). Students who are not able to move by March 25 (Thu.) will only be allowed to take distance learning classes (online) during the health observation period until two weeks have passed after your moving. In addition, the university will provide make-up lessons for missed classes so that students who are absent will not be disadvantaged. Students moving from cities other than those declared to be in a state of emergency will be allowed to attend face-to-face classes, provided that they keep a close watch on their daily health.

Note: The dates of March 25 and April 8 in the above are based on the case where classes start on April 8. If your faculty or graduate school does not start classes on April 8, please replace the dates accordingly.
