Dwight was a four-year letterman and three-year starter at Saint Bonaventure. He played defensive tackle, de- fensive end, outside linebacker and inside linebacker during his high school career. His senior year in 2005 he was voted Channel League and CIF Division 4 Defensive MVP, was Prep Nation 2005 All-American and Ri- vals.com rated him the 34th-best prospect in the country. He made 131 tackles as a senior and 174 as a junior. Through his three-year starting career he forced six fumbles, made five interceptions and scored three touch- downs. Coach John Mack is quoted to say “Dwight was one of the premier players on the field whatever position that he played. He had the ability to change the outcome of games” Dwight was a key contributor to SBHS back to back CIF Southern Section Division IV Championship teams. He was voted to Ventura County all Decade team in 2009 defense.
Dwight went on to play Division I college football at Oregon State University. His senior season he was vote team co-captain. He received Pac-10 Conference Honorable Mention after leading the team and ranking among the top 10 players in the conference for tackles with 88, Second Team All-Pac-10 by Phil Steele ... team leader for pass breakups with eight ... made his only career interception in the season opener vs. TCU. In a single game a career-high 16 tackles in a win over Louisville and 12 vs. Washington State.
Dwight attended training camp of the New Orleans Saints in 2010 in Oxnard and played in preseason games before being released. Dwight is active member of the YAC (Young Athletics for Christ) and mentors, coaches and trains young student athletics here in Ventura County. Dwight is a member of the Oregon Forrest Fighter Association that helps fight summer fires throughout the country. Dwight currently is the assistance coach for the Corvallis High School “Spartans” JV football team.
Dwight has three sibling Seraphs, Monique (09), Savannah (12), and Donovan (17).
