Administrative: Volunteers assist with the general office duties such as answering phones, photocopying, faxing, assistance with mass mailings, filing, data entry, and aid in the overall workflow of the office. Special Event Support: Volunteers can assist with special events or conferences such as preparing materials, mass mailings, data entry and day‐of‐event/conference assistance such as registration check‐in, set up, and hospitality. Our signature event is Walk to End Alzheimer’s. Caregiver Support Group Facilitator: Help facilitate support groups, which provide emotional, educational and social support to those caring for someone living with Alzheimer’s or another dementia. Early‐Stage Support Group Facilitator: Early‐Stage Support Groups facilitate the process by which people with the diagnosis or their care partner/caregiver support each other and adjust to the disease process. The facilitator creates a supportive setting where group members connect with each other and benefit from the shared wisdom and experience of living with AD.

This program is unlike any other foster youth housing in San Antonio. THRU Project will offer vetted (must be working and show readiness) youth and opportunity to live in an apartment of their own rent free for up to 1 year. During that time they agree to continue to meet with their mentor, contriube to a personal saving account monthly that increases on a sliding scale so that by the last month they will have a minimum of $4,000 in savings, attend all designated Life‐Skills workshops, maintain contact with THRU Project staff to set personal goals and review outcomes. University of the Incarnate Word ‐ miniGEMS STEAM and Programming Camp Mission: miniGEMS is a free two‐week camp for Title I middle school girls that inspires and empowers girls to be innovative with their futures in the fields of STEAM. miniGEMS holds four camps during the summer and provides nutritious breakfast, lunch, and snacks.
