The Amir His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani met President of Pakistan Dr Arif Alvi in earlier this year. The meeting dealt with bilateral relations and the means to enhance them in various fields, particularly economy, investment and energy. They also exchanged views on regional and international developments. The Pakistani president granted ‘Nishan-e-Pakistan’, Pakistan’s highest civilian award, to HH the Amir as an expression of the depth of the historical relations between Qatar and Pakistan.

They discussed ways to promote bilateral relations in various fields, especially in investment, energy, food security and military.
