I. Doorda.rshan and All India Radio aired live the Hon’ble Prime Minister address to thenation on 12"‘ May, 2020. Hon’bIe PM addressed the nation on Buddha Purnima on 07.05.2020 and Mann Ki Baat on 31.05.2020 and both events were broadcast on whole network of DD and AIR. A V L I 1 In a unique outreach initiative, Hon’ble Minister for Information and Broadcasting Shri Prakash Javadekar addressed the listeners of all Community Radio Stations in the country simultaneously on 22"“ May, 2020 at 7 PM and exhorted people to keepup their fight against Coronavirus. He re-iterated the mantra of “Jaan Bhi Jahaan Bhi”. This research work also focused on to discuss how frequently he has briefed about the measures being taken to curb COVID-19 and to bring the situation under control. In order to study speeches PM Modi delivered during the lockdown, this work aims at conducting the content analysis of Mann ki Baat episodes (March-June 2020) based on the COVID-19 information and all those appeals to the nation that PM made in the 4 months ( March –June 2020) have been used as sample for study.
