Musica Iagellonica 2017 ISSN 1233–9679 Kateřina Maýrová (Czech Museum of Music, Prague) The motets of Andrea and Giovanni Gabrieli in the Rokycany Music Collection This work provides a global survey on the Italian music repertoire contained in the music collection that is preserved in the Roman-Catholic parish of Roky- cany, a town located near Pilsen in West-Bohemia, with a special regard to the polychoral repertoire of the composers Andrea and Giovanni Gabrieli and their influence on Bohemian cori-spezzati compositions. The mutual comparison of the Italian and Bohemian polychoral repertoire comprises also a basic compara- tion with the most important music collections preserved in the area of the so- called historical Hungarian Lands (today’s Slovakia), e.g. the Bardejov [Bart- feld / Bártfa] (BMC) and the Levoča [Leutschau / Löcse] Music Collections. From a music-historical point of view, the Rokycany Music Collection (RMC) of musical prints and manuscripts stemming from the second half of the 16th to the first third of the 17th centuries represents a very interesting complex of music sources. They were originally the property of the Rokycany litterati brotherhood. A second listing of these names is taxonomically arranged in families with the families listed alphabetically, higher level classification being outside the scope of this work. Carlo Kier nato a Milano nel 1961, Carlo si è laureato in Legge, ed è attualmente presidente della catena di alberghi Azul Hotel. Risiede a Cancun, Messico, dove si dedica ad attività legate all'ambiente marino. All'età di 16 anni, ha iniziato una lunga collaborazione con il Museo di Storia Naturale di Milano, ed è a partire dal 1970 che prese inizio la vera passione per i trilobiti, dando avvio a quella che oggi è diventata una delle collezioni paleontologiche più importanti al mondo. Shales of the Šárka Formation exposed in the excavation on Červený vrch Hill at Praha-Vokovice contain a common but monotonous assem- blage of phyllocarids associated with other extremely rare arthropods. Almost all trilobite remains (genera Ectillaenus Salter, 1867, Placoparia Hawle et Corda, 1847 and Asaphidae indet.) occur in a single horizon of siliceous nodules of stratigraphically uncertain position, while the surprising occurrence of possible naraoid trilobite (Pseudonaraoia hammanni gen. n., sp. n.) comes from dark grey shales. The general character of the arthropod assemblage char- acterized by an expressive dominance of planktonic and/or epi-planktonic elements (phyllocarids) indicates a specific life environment (most probably due to poor oxygenation). This association corresponds to the assemblage preceding the Euorthisina-Placoparia Community sensu Havlíček and Vaněk (1990) in the lower portion of the Šárka Formation. Two specimens of rare trilobites from the Middle Ordovician Šárka Formation (= Darriwilian, Oretanian), both coming from Osek near Rokycany locality, are shortly described. An excellently preserved entire proetide specimen substantially differs from all other Middle Ordovician representatives of this order known from the Prague Basin. We place it tentatively in the genus Mezzaluna as a new species Mezzaluna? xeelee sp. n. Malformed exoskeleton of the rare cheirurid Areiaspis barrandei shows atypically developed left 9th pleural tip. Possible mechanisms of this malformation are shortly discussed and unpublished observations on the morphology of the species are added. KEYWORDS . As noted by Budil et al. (2007), Mergl et al. (2008) and Fatka & Mergl (2009), more than 60 trilobite species have been identified from different localities in the Šárka Formation. -

Die schwedischen Illaeniden sind fruher von HoLM (1882) monographisch 6- 563272 Bult. of Geol. Vol. XXXVII So VALDAR JAANUSSON bearbeitet worden, und im gleichen Jahr beschrieb BRÖGGER (1882) auch die norwegischen unterordovizischen Illaeniden. Aus dem Unterordovizium von Schweden hat HoLM (1882) nur 3 Arten angefiihrt u. zw. Illaenus Esmarkii (ScHLOTH.) ( = I. sarsi }AAN. + I. aduncus n. sp. + I. incisus n. sp.), Illaenus tuberculatus HOLM und Illaenus ( = Dysplanus) centratus DALM. New camera lucida techniques used in the measurement of illaenid trilobites are described and allow quantification of convexity of cephala and pygidia. Application of these techniques has demonstrated that previously identified dimorphs of Stenopareia glaber are only end members of continuous variation and that the species ranges from the upper Caradoc well into the Ashgill. A quantitative and qualitative distinction between S. glaber and S. linnarssoni is presented toget,her with descriptions of Il/aenus ( Paril/aenus) roemeri and specimens termed /. (P.) cf. da/ecarlicus. The latter throws light on the possible relationship between Octillaenus and other illaenids.
