Zone Heating Why is a fireplace more effective than using the furnace alone? Zone Heating means you are heating the room that you use the most with an alternate heat source, like a Napoleon® Fireplace. Zone Heating is the obvious solution for families concerned about rising fuel costs.

With Napoleon®, all of our heater rated models are designed to generate the maximum amount of heat available for your fuel dollars. Napoleon® fireplaces not only radiate heat through their glass doors, they simultaneously conduct heat through the firebox (in some models through their heat exchanger).

Direct Vent Technology Napoleon’s direct vent fireplaces do not require a chimney and can be vented directly through a wall or roof. The direct vent draws its combustion air from outside while venting to the same outside atmosphere - thereby not consuming warm house air, nor competing with other appliances and furnaces for combustion air. Direct venting also eliminates drafts and heat loss associated with other fireplaces.

FREESTANDING | BUILT-IN WATERFALLS The Story It all started in a small garage just outside Barrie, Ontario, Canada, where Wolfgang Schroeter, trained in a German technical engineering school, built three wood stoves his first year while his wife and partner, Ingrid, would bring home the metal needed on the roof of her car.
