A revelation from (Allah) , Most Gracious, Most Merciful --

3.  &%$ #"!  %( ۥ   '  ۡ   ' ' A Book, whereof the verses are explained in detail --

!/ 0  3 ' ۡ  4 .    -    ۡ+,  ۡ  ' +* a Qur'án in Arabic, for people who understand --

4.     5.6 78-    Giving Good News and Admonition:

   #= ۡ  > ; ۡ ' ' ۡ  'ۡ: 9#  ?  ۡ  '@/ +* yet most of them turn away, and so they hear not. 5.          +36H A B.+ۡ  ' C D EF; G F-+ۡ    ٓ  ' ' !3'' ( They say: "Our hearts are under veils, (concealed) from that to which thou dost invite us,

    3    ٓ   G6 I-   ۡ  ۡ  ۢ 6    ۡ 6 F. LF6-6 FV JK and in ours ears in a deafness, and between us and thee is a screen:

!  ۡ  ۡ   #F.A P  ' +* so do thou (what thou wilt) ; for us, we shall do (what we will!) ."

6.     ' ۡ     ۡ Q! ' ' ۡ   8-  .; BRA 3۟  Q9A BR; TA G+  ۡ' '      ٓ  '  V 6 )A C Say thou: "I am but a man like  you: it is revealed to me by inspiration, that your Allah is One Allah:

XY%Z   #0%Z ۡ P  + ۡ  H ٓ A ö6 ' ''ۡ  ۡ 6 )◌ۗ so stand true to Him, and ask for His forgiveness."

    ۡ  66  ۡ 'ۡ!8  &[ And woe to those who join gods with Allah --

7. X&  b          ' ۡ '   :6 ^+ۡ     ` *+a ? 5 P-_  '' ۡ^ :  '6* Those who practice not Regular Charity, and who even deny the Hereafter.

8. FDg   ! F       5 *A   +  H +  H'  6 d ۡ ' e!" f ۡ ;  ۡ ' 74  ۡ''+* For those who believe and work deeds  of righteousness is a reward that will never fail.

9.  ٕ   ' ۡ   ' QFJ; 3ۡ   o) *+'  '!/l ۡ  6 ]+ G

10. -  #  V        # /g6  r   6 93+ ۡ   J6h #  He set on the (earth) , Mountains standing firm, high above it, and bestowed blessings on the earth,

    3Z  ٕ       # hC36    ۡ ٓ V+  ۡ ; B  t+     ,; E/-h; G JB@!![ and measured therein all things to give them nourishment in due proportion, in four Days, in accordance with (the needs of) those who seek (sustenance) .

11.   ' v  B@ TA j+ '       ٓ   %Zۡ bn >6* Moreover He Comprehended in His design the sky, and it had been (as) smoke:

 ٕ     ۡ    JB| F6; B%3/[ They said: "We do come (together) , in willing obedience."

12.  „      € Z 9Kƒ0#     '    ۡ     +~ B€   - G G6;6 ]+ '  ۡ  ۡ  ۡ  G ; ۡ  : ◌ۚ So He completed them as seven firmaments in two Days and He assigned to each heaven its duty and command.

 7"‰         ' ۡ B@ F‡6 .C    6 † ۡ X  ◌ۚ And We adorned the lower heaven with lights, and (provided it) with guard.

  V C0 L ۡ    I  '  ۡ/   `  ۡ  ` /!

Such is the Decree of (Him) the Exalted in Might, Full of knowledge. 3 13. n+Œ 6 n3 E0/Š  E0/Š Qh5.; 0# +    H   ; *‹#  ۡ ۡ   ' ۡ  ۡ'' ' ۡ      ۡ   '  But if they turn away, say thou: "I have warned you of a stunning Punishment (as of thunder and lightning) like that which (overtook) the 'Ad and the Thamud!"

14.  Bg IA  9C; ]-        Z 9X!b H   6 6C/ ?; D ?A ◌ۖ ۡ   ۡ ' '  ' ' ' ۢ ۡ ۡ ۡ  ۡ  ۡۡ   ۡ '' ٓ   Behold, the messengers came to them, from before them and behind them, (preaching) : "Serve none but Allah."

 +3H B‘ + Zh; B‰ .‹# EQK! {`  '    ٕ . _ F-h!% -(ۦ  &6X*  '  ۡ    '     ٓ      ۡ ۡ ' '  They said, "If our Lord had so pleased, He would certainly have sent down angels (to preach) : now we reject your mission (altogether) ."

15.      ۡ”    3     ۡ  ۡ  ' ۡ ۡ ۡ #= 6’%ZP# n3 +36 iHH    7Y-

 ;6  6  H 90!b j5 D *; F C‘; +  : +3^ ◌ۖ   ۡ   ۡ        'ۡ '   'ۡ 'ۡ '   What! did they not see that Allah, Who created them, was superior to them in strength?

*6Ce– F 8- + H . -6   ' •    ۡ  '  But they continued to reject Our Signs!

16.   Š Š        ™ۡ ۡ”   ۡ  ۡ    ۡ #=!3 F!Zh  ۡ   ۡ'  '    ٓ   ۡ  ˜h 905F ~@— ,; G 53C ^+ۖ◌  ۡ '   G j` ۡ  J.  So We sent against them a furious Wind through days of disaster, that We might give them a taste of a Penalty of humiliation in this Life; 4 "F b  b     ' 5/6ۡj`  ۡ ; ^  _ J  ' ۡ ◌ۖ 6: ? '  ' 6* but the Penalty of the Hereafter will be more humiliating still: and they will find no help.

17. 9FC9# n+Œ ;6 +H e%Z P#  jCd ,ۡ 3  / ۡ   ' '    ۡ  ' ۡ ۡ   '    '  As to the Thamud, We gave them guidance, but they preferred blindness (of heart) to Guidance;

  #=5b Š5/ E0/+H . - ‰ *+  dۡ  J Q ۡ@+*    ۡ ' ۡ    'ۡ  '  ' '  so the stunning Punishment of humiliation seized them, because of what they had earned.

18.     ۡ     5 F6œ6  +  H ' F H' . -6 +  '0% +* But We delivered those who believed and practiced righteousness.

19.    tC3; ۡ '     '  ۡ ' 8˜ ۡ ' ,+ ۡ   6 hF TA D 9# ' +‡  ' +* On the Day that the enemies of Allah will be gathered together to the Fire, they will be marched in ranks.

20. *+!/ +H . - ‰ :n+ !g 6 :"-  ;6 9/€ !3 C ‘ :6 Bg  IA    ٓ          ۡ ۡ  ۡ'''ۡ  ۡ  '' ۡ  ' ''  '  ۡ ''  At length, when they reach the (Fire) , their hearing, their sight, and their skins will bear witness against them, as to (all) their deeds.

21.        ' +36H :n+ ۡ   ۡ'    ۡ '!ž'  ‘C9 F6!3 ◌ۖ They will say to their skins: "Why bear ye witness against us?"

  .     ٓ  '     H ٓ+' 3 K - iۡ  '  ; j5 D F0 .; They will say: "Allah hath given us speech, (He) Who giveth speech to everything: 5      Q0!b +    ۡ '     :' 6 A6 ^ۡ    {6; g'  ۡ' )/+* He created you for the first time, and unto Him were ye to return.

22. !g "-      ' ۡ  ۡ  ' ۡ     ۡۡ  ۡ '''ۡ  %V& 6 8 *; *6¢8@ !3 C Q €Q/ &  ۡ'  ۡ ; ¡6 n+ۡ'''' ' ' ?6& "Ye did not seek to hide yourselves, lest your hearing, your sight, and your skins should bear witness against you!

!/    Q %VF£ ۡ '    6 !/ ? D *  '  ۡ      ; 7& D  ۡ ' +* But ye did think that Allah knew not many of the things that ye used to do!

23. V    -     ™ۡ@ Q '   ' '  ۡ  I6 QF£ %VF£ j5  Q-'ۡ  ۡ  ۡ''''  ۡ ۡ QJnh; eŠ=#%       "But this thought of yours which ye did entertain concerning your Lord, hath brought you to destruction, and (now) have ye become of those utterly lost!"

24.       ۡ ' 6’" *‹#'  H d j+ۡ '   ۡ  hFP# ◌ۖ If, then, they have patience, the Fire will be a Home for them!

    H '8/%@ۡ ۡ  *A6  '+ # :  ۡ' ۡ    ¤/%[ And if they beg to be received into favor, into favor will they not (then) be received.

25.   F # 3     ۡ   ' ۡ 36 ƒd F B.    '  +ۡ' ۡ    ۡۡ  ۡ  'H ' ` d  C; ]- 9X!b 6 And We have destined for them intimate companions (of like nature) , Who made alluring to them what was before them and behind them;

0  '     ۡž .   !3 i'  ۡ      6 9  ; G {+ ۡ   ٓ ' ۡ  ۡ b C3! ۡ ۡ 3!9     ۡ  6¦ ¥◌ۖ and the sentence among the previous generations of Jinns and men, who have passed away, is proved against them;

 @b .    ' ۡ  ' AH§ -+   for they are utterly lost.

6 26.            6 ' X&  5 {36 +   /@' ۡ  ? 5d    ۡ 0'ۡ + ۡ '  HHHۡ  Yۡ 6 * # Q!/ )  Yۡ!' +* The Unbelievers say:  "Listen not to this Qur'án, but talk at random in the midst of its (reading), that ye may gain the upper hand!"

27. *+!/ +- j5 ;+HH . Z ; F` KF 6CC‘ -53 6  X& 5    0 5F!#   '        '       ۡ   ' ۡۡ  '  ۡ '  But We will certainly give the Unbelievers a taste of a severe Penalty, and We will requite them for the worst of their deeds.

28.    g  V t`'    ۡ '   L  I tC3; hF D ◌ۖ Such is the requital of the enemies of Allah -- the Fire:

  .  g    ' ۡ   ' ' dۡ #  nt`  ۢ   ۖ◌ C!ۡ™ h ‰ + '  ۡ    • H ' - 6Ce– F8-* therein will be for them the Eternal Home: a (fit) requital, for that they were wont to reject Our Signs.

29.            6      H ' X     5 {36 h; BF-h. 5 ۡ    ;¨.   ۡž 6 ۡ ¦ .¥ And the Unbelievers will say: "Our Lord! show us those, among Jinns and men, who misled us:

      ۡ  ۡ '  œ/!C3;   ۡ ۡ© 9'  F XZ_  ۡ  ۡ  .+  Q![ we shall crush them beneath our feet, so that they become the vilest (before all) ."

30.   +3    5 *A v D F-h  +ٕ ۡ HH0%Z !3 {#% 9 EK!¤     '     '  ۡ   '   '   ۡ''  ٓ '' In the case of those who say, "Our Lord is Allah," and, further, stand straight and steadfast, the angels descend on them (from time to time) :

      ;? +  ' ª +' .# ` ۡ©  ?6 6ۡ ' '   ۡ HHH' 8-ۡ ;6 %V&  EFžP- 6C3+ '  '* "Fear ye not!" (they suggest) , "nor grieve! but receive the Glad Tidings of the Garden (of Bliss) , the which ye were promised! 7 31. —    ۡ”   b  ۡ ' ۡ  ' ' ۡ ;6 &«B .C ^+ۡ   ۡ '    G  G6 _  ^ ◌ۖ "We are your protectors in this life and in the Hereafter:

      ۡ   Q6 # Q@X.;  ۡ'''  ۡ' ' ٓ %8ۡ   9 Q6 # C  9 ' +* therein shall ye have all that your souls shall desire; therein shall ye have all that ye ask for! --

32.   .' ' `?  ۡ  '­ X h h+

"A hospitable gift from One Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful!"

33.     D@    A {36 e!Š 6 D TA B3n              ?+ ۡ 3  '  ۡ ; ۡ  6.® ۡ' ۡ  ¤@![ Who is better in speech than one who calls (men) to Allah, works righteousness, and says, "I am of those who bow in Islam"?

34.

  E¯6@ ?6 EF@” j+ ''       ۡ  %@ۡ  ?6◌ۚ Nor can Goodness and Evil be equal.

 P-      ۡ  # nۡ < ; ۡ  @ ' Repel (Evil) with what is better:

  V       ۡ    ۡ '  #I‹ F6-6 LF6- j5( ۥ f  '    C3 6^ -=.( ۥ T6 

then will he between whom and thee was hatred become as it were thy friend and intimate!

35.   „      ° 6I    ' ?A B9K0! 66’Š ''H '   5 ?A B9K0! 6         And no one will be granted such goodness except those who exercise patience and self-restraint, none but persons of the greatest good fortune.

36.   .  8         DP- 5/%ZP# ±`   ۡ ۡ  ۡ      ۡ    LF­# A6◌ۖ And if (at any time) an incitement to discord is made to thee by the Evil One, seek refuge in Allah.

8  @ :   'A.( ۥ ' +   'ۡ  ' /!

He is the One Who hears and knows all things.

37. 0 8      '  ' ۡ    ۡ 6  )%  h9F6 6  ۡ '¥ 6 ۡ   ' ◌ۚ Among His Signs are the Night and the Day, and the sun and moon.

      ۡ ' ' 6CK@ ?H  ۡ!8 ¥ 6? ۡ  !0  Adore not the Sun and the Moon,

90!b      ۡ ' 6CKZ6   H %V *A  ''' ۡ '  ۡ ' '  '    j5 D 6C/ öA* but adore Allah Who created them, if it is Him ye wish to serve.

38.    ۡ  ۡ  '#‹* 6’%ZH But if they (Unbelievers) are arrogant,

@   e@           #L-h CF 5P '   '  ' ۡ    ' ۡ +* ( ۥ -P  F6 h 6: ?  ۡ• '+* (no matter) : for in the presence of thy Lord are those who celebrate His praises ۩ (by night and by day. And they never flag (nor feel themselves above it

39.  6 o  %  (ۦ ;.!3 F`ۡ . ; tI‹# E/8b

   ¤ۡ¤    ٓ ۡ  j5 *A ; : ' ۡ   ۡ 2+◌ۚٓ Truly, He Who gives life to the (dead) earth can surely give life to (men) who are dead.

  3   'A.( ۥ    '   ۡ , - K f  C3 For He has power over all things.

9 40.       G *6Ce!      ٓ   ' ۡ '   5 *A BF6!3 *+ۡ  ۡ Xµۡ  ? F8 ◌ۗ Those who pervert the Truth in Our Signs are not hidden from Us.

 # !  ۡ     ;   ' ۡ     ۡ 2=  ٓ   ,; 7b hF G f 0 ,+   ۡ  ۡ  F E◌ۚ Which is better? --  he that is cast into the Fire, or he that comes safe through, on the Day of Judgement?

    ۡ  !' + ۡ 'ۡ  H  ‘%5   Aۖ◌ '.( ۥ ‰  ۡ/!'  +* -"f7 Do what ye will: Verily He seeth (clearly) all that ye do.

41.      6  H '  X&    5 *A Bg ¤ ۡ '   &ۡ 5P- : ◌ۖ Those who reject the Message when it comes to them (are not hidden from Us) ;

    '   A6f.( ۥ Q%$   `  ` and indeed it is a Book of exalted power. 

42.  ۡ  ? = (         -[ X!b    ?6 )C(ۦ◌ۖ   ۡ ' ۢ  ۡ   ۡ   ۡ  ۡ No falsehood can approach it from before or behind it:

   #  ۡ   „    Q  C it is sent down by One Full of Wisdom, Worthy of all Praise.

43.   !    '  '     ۡ  3 C3  ?A L {0  L!3   ۡ  Z ' '◌ۚ Nothing is said to thee that was not said to the messengers before thee:

          ' „ '   XYۡ  65 L-h *AJ0 6I6 ^ ;

That thy Lord has at His command (all) Forgiveness as well as a most Grievous Penalty.

10 44.       3   '  ۡ  H '    ۡ 4  ۡ ' )F! '  ۡ /g + ۡ  6 K; .  0+ +? #"!ۡ  ' ' %( ۥo◌ۖ  Had We sent this as a Qur'án (in a language) other than  Arabic, they would have said: "Why are not its verses explained in detail?

 K  ۠ ۡ    6    ◌ۗ What! (a Book) not in Arabic and (a Messenger) an Arab?"

   '    5! +  :' 3ۡ  +    ' H 'F BX‘6 jC: ◌ۖ Say: "It is a guide and a healing to those who believe;

 3       G *+  ۡ    ٓ  ' F aۡ '  ?   56 I§ 6 ۡ  6 ':    ۡ ۡ+ 3! 9 4 ◌ۚ and for those who believe not, there is a deafness in their ears, and it is blindness in their (eyes) ;

 '  ۭ    *6nF LK6;ۡ '  ٕ  ٓ H /- *. C they are (as it were) being called from a place far distant!"

45.         ۡ  ۡ  C06 bP# $%Q J+ 'ۡ    ۡ ' F6%!« # ( ◌ۗ We certainly gave Moses the Book aforetime: but dispute arose therein.

 0      ۡ     ۡ '  ۡ   '  L-h    ۡ 0Z E! ?+6 9F6- ◌ۚ Had it not been for a word that went forth before from thy Lord, (their differences) would have been settled between them:

       ' §A6ۡ     F L‘ ' ۡ( '  $ but they remained in suspicious disquieting doubt thereon.

46.      ۡ       ۡ   Š!XF!# e@(ۦ◌ۖ Whoever works righteousness benefits his own soul; 11   BZ;   ۡ     ۡ  6 #/! 9◌ۗ whoever works evil, it is against his own soul:

     '       ۡ  - L-h 6 ! 7/! C nor is thy Lord ever unjust (in the least) to His servants.

47.     Aۡ !3 n   ' ۡ '  ' ) E@◌ۚ To Him is referred the Knowledge of the Hour (of Judgment: He knows all) :

  . '         A  ۡ   ''ƒ  ?6 ¾   ; ۡ  © 6 9&; ' ۡ     ۡ ۡ  ~V Œ    ¿' ۡ ª  6? -/!(ۦ◌ۚ no date-fruit comes out of its sheath, nor does a female conceive (within her womb) nor bring forth (young) , but by His Knowledge.

   nۡ  F ,+'  ۡ  6 BH ٓ '    ‘'  ۡ ; j +3 The Day that (Allah) will propound to them the (question) , "Where are the partners (ye attributed) to Me?"

  C ‘     F  L.I       They will say, "We do assure thee not one of us can bear witness!"

48.          ۡ  F 6  +ۡ  H ' . - +'  H 'F£  6 ۖ◌  3  ' ۡ   *+ ' C  d   Á À The (deities) they used to invoke aforetime will leave them ' in the lurch, and they will perceive that they have no way of escape.

49. F3  # 8    @.    ۡ• ' ۡ ? @ ¦   ' '   ۡ      ' B3n ™Â+ '  Ã+ '•  '   )@ *A6 7ۡ Man does not weary of asking for good (things) , but if ill touches him, he gives up all hope (and) is lost in despair.

50. ٕ      ' ۡ    t  C/- ۡ ۢ F Eh )F3I;     ۡ  '  ۡ  ۡ K 6 '   )%@ 5: +    0 T When We give him  a taste of some mercy from Ourselves, after some adversity has touched him, he is sure to say, "This is due to my (merit) :

12  £ ٕ Kٕ      öCF T ۡ ' ۡ '  *A h TA  ٓ      ' ۡ/gh ' 6 EJB3 E@     '  ' ; B6 ۥ !e@®◌ۚ I think not that the Hour (of Judgment) will (ever) be established; but if I am brought back to my Lord, I have (much) good (stored) in His sight!"

       '  #!6 ' X&    5     ¯7FF ‰ +'  '  HH'! 9F05F6  53  „   ۡJ 4! ° But We will show the Unbelievers the truth of all that they did, and We shall give them the taste of a severe Penalty.

51.     @. 3     ۡ  ۡ Ä .6 < •   ۡ ;    ¦ ,ۡ   F/.; tIA6.(ۦ When We bestow favors on man, he turns away, and gets himself remote on his side (instead of coming to Us) ;

 „  Å   B3n 65#  ' '  ' 8  )@ IA6'      and when Evil seizes him, (he comes) full of prolonged prayer!

52.      ۡ   ۡ ' ۡ   h; 3 % v D CF  '  ۡ  * *A  Xۡ''  -(ۦ Say: "See ye if the (Revelation) is (really) from Allah, and yet do ye reject it?

        ۡ  '  ; /- Æ0‘ G + ۭ   :' ۡD C Who is more astray than one who is in schism far (from any purpose) ?"

53.       9   ۡ   ۡ   'FZ @X.;' ۡ'         ۡ  ' ٓ G6 Æ#_ G F8  d ]% i '  ”ۡ  ).;◌ۗ Soon will We show them Our Signs in the (furthest) regions (of the earth) , and in their own souls, until it becomes manifest to them that this is the Truth.

 3      ۡ  ۡ;6 L-'   - »Q ;.( ۥ  , '   ۡ   K - f ‘ C Is it not enough that thy Lord doth witness all things?

54.          ۡ ;¡ .A B0 ۡ      E ۡ  G 9-h ◌ۗ Ah indeed! are they in doubt concerning the Meeting' with their Lord?

13      '  '   ۡ ' ;¡ A.( ۥ -. K Á Çۢ' Ah indeed! it is He that doth encompass all things!
