Creative New Zealand Grants 2009 SEPTEMBER-NOVEMBER ARTS GRANTS CONTESTABLE FUNDING ROUND This is a complete list of project grants offered in the September-November 2009 Arts Grants contestable funding round. Applications to this round closed on 28 August 2009 and grants were announced in mid November. Grants are listed within artforms under Creative New Zealand funding groups. In this round, 94 grants totalling $2,284,080 were offered to support projects by New Zealand artists, practitioners and arts organisations. Over $8.8 million was requested from 291 applications. Funding from the Arts Board includes the Todd Writers’ Bursary of $20,000 which has been awarded to Anna Taylor. This is a partnership between the Todd Corporation and Creative New Zealand, with each partner contributing $10,000. This list also includes applications for Te Waka Toi’s Toi Ake initiative. Three projects totalling $115,000 were offered support. Nearly $500,000 was requested from 13 applications.
