    Modern methods of monetisation for independent and major record labels: 360 and beyond In the music ecosystem, the record label is the ‟facilitator” and the ‟doer” that produces, manufactures, distributes, promotes and markets music tracks and albums. The term ‟record label” derives from the circular label in the centre of a vinyl record, which prominently displays the manufacturer’s name, along with other information.
