REPORT ON THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE 2017 PLAN FOR NATIONAL ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT AND ON THE 2018 DRAFT-PLAN FOR NATIONAL ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT Delivered at the First Session ef the Thirteenth National People's Congres.r on March 5, 2018 National Development and Reform Commission The official version of this report will be released by Xinhua News Agency. Esteemed Deputies, The National Development and Reform Commission has been enttusted by the State Council to deliver this report on the implementation of the 2017 plan and on the 2018 draft plan for national economic and social development to the First Session of the 13th National People's Congress (NPC) for your deliberation. It also invites comments from the members of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC). I. Implementation of the 2017 Plan for National Economic and Social Development Last year, in the face of complex and volatile situations at home and abroad, all regions and departments, under the strong leadership of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core, continued to strengthen their consciousness of the need to maintain political integrity, think in big-picture terms, follow the leadership core, and keep in alignment, and thoroughly studied and implemented Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for the New Era and the guiding principles from the 19th National Party Congress. In accordance with the arrangements of the Central Economic Work Conference and the Report on the Work of the Government, we continued to apply the underlying principle of pursuing progress while ensuring stability, stuck firmly to the new vision of development, and earnestly implemented the 2017 Plan approved at the Fifth Session of the 12th NPC, while also acting in line with a review of the Plan by the NPC's Financial and Economic Affairs Committee. -

The Company was successfully listed on the Main Board of the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited with stock code of 2880 and Shanghai Stock Exchange with stock code of 601880 on 28 April 2006 and 6 December 2010, respectively. The Company is the first port company listed in both the stock exchanges of Hong Kong and Shanghai. It analyzes the formation mechanism of character convergence to build the whole image of these ancient towns with Zhouzhuang as a prototype. Based on Tourism Geography Theory and Regional Linkage Theory, it puts forward the fact that the character convergence can be beneficial to building a whole tourism image and to enhancing people’s awareness of ancient heritage. But some problems caused by the convergence will also be presented, such as the identical tourism development model, the backward infrastructure and the destruction of original ecology. Introduction With Taihu Lake as the center, the region of Jiangnan, the south of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River, is scattered all over by many historic ancient towns. These towns have a long history and deep cultural deposit. They are densely occupied and economically developed. They form a national transport network combined with inland waterway. These towns have witnessed a long-term economic prosperity in the south of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River and are now generally called “Jiangnan Ancient Towns”. Since 1980s, under the wave of reform, opening up and modernization construction, experience-based tourism and leisure tourism of these towns have achieved great development. Under the influence of “China's First Water Town” Zhouzhuang, some other similar towns like Tongli, Luzhi, Xitang, Nanxun, Wuzhen all choose to follow suit. -

Social- ecological scenario studies can help to develop strategies to adapt to such change. To investigate the present situation of marine litter pollution, a stratified random sampling (StRS) method was applied to survey the distribution of marine coastal litters around Zhoushan Island. A univariate analysis of variance was conducted to access the amount of litter in different landforms that include mudflats, artificial and rocky beaches. In addition, two questionnaires were designed for local fishermen and tourists to provide social scenarios. The results showed that the distribution of litter in different landforms was significantly different, while the distribution of litter in different sampling points had no significant difference. The StRS survey showed to be a valuable method for giving a relative overview of beach litter around Zhoushan Island with less effort in a future survey. The questionnaire feedbacks helped to understand the source of marine litter and showed the impact on the local environment and economy. -

Human Embryonic Kidney 293 (HEK293) cell line stably expressing OATP1B1*1a sequence was amplified through PCR with the extracted total RNA as templates from human liver, then subcloned into the plasmid pMD19-T and verified by sequencing. OATP1B1*1b/OATP1B1*15 mutant sequences were obtained by site-directed mutation PCR with pMD19-T/ OATP1B1*1a as templates. The plasmids pcDNA3.1(+)/OATP1B1*1a, *1b and *15 were constructed and transfected into HEK293 cell line using LipofectamineTM2000 transfection reagent. Several stable transfected clones were obtained after selection with G418. -

Email: [email protected] The growth and significance of scientific research into the origins of agriculture in China calls for fresh examination at scales large enough to facilitate explanation of cultural evolutionary processes. The Paleolithic to Neolithic transition (PNT) is not yet well-understood because most archaeo- logical research on early agriculture cites data from the more conspicuous and common early Neo- lithic sites. In this, the first of two papers, we synthesize a broad range of early Neolithic archae- ological data, including diagnostic artifacts, settlement patterns, site structure, and biological remains, to consider agriculture as a system-level adaptive phenomenon. Although farming by this period was already well-established in much of North China and the middle Yangtze River basin, echoes of the foraging past can be found in the persistence of hunting-related artifacts in North China’s Loess Plateau and aquatic-based intensification and vegeculture in South China. Our analysis of the growing body of Chinese data and projections using Binford’s hunting and gathering database indicate that agriculture was differentially developed, adopted, or resisted by foragers according to measurable, predictable initial conditions of habitat that influenced diet breadth. -
