Strategic issues Principle of development: The principle of a residential-led redevelopment of the site and Strategic Infrastructure Works (SIW) is broadly supported in this Opportunity Area and Housing Zone. However, the proposal would result in the significant loss of industrial land in an area where future provision is uncertain.
