CALL FOR ARTISTS Mural Project at Newport Art Museum

ELIGIBILITY PROJECT: Design and Install Mural Newport County LOCATION: Newport Art Museum School, 26 Liberty St., Newport, RI 02840 Residents Front facade, approximately 42’ x 10’ west wall

TIMELINE: Summer 2021 ENTRY FEE None APPLICANTS: Anyone who makes art regularly and wants to try something new or outside of their comfort zone may apply. This includes under-recognized artists, artist teams, and artists who may not have any mural work experience. ENTRY DEADLINE NPA is an inclusive organization and encourages participation by applicants 5/14/2021 from all cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.

The artist(s) chosen will be expected to execute the project. NPA will be available to provide support from concept to installation.

A modest Artist Stipend will be paid for the full completion of the project.

MATERIALS: All materials are supplied by NPA. Artist(s) will work with NPA to choose cost-effective materials that are well-suited for long-standing installations.

PROMOTION: The Newport Art Museum on Bellevue Avenue in Newport sees many visitors and the location is visible from Bellevue Avenue.

NPA and NAM will promote the project through social and other media outlets.
