Head coach Stuart Lancaster hands test debuts to centre Luther Burrell and right wing , and gives RBS 6 Nations debuts to and . In addition two players new to the Championship – Henry Thomas and Dave Attwood - are named on the bench. The XV has 286 test caps between them; the bench has a further 85 caps. The entire three-quarter line has a grand total of just nine caps and only seven starts. The average age of the walk-on team is 25.1 years; the average on the bench is 25.8 All players are comfortably under the age of 30, with the oldest player being Lee Dickson at 28, and the youngest Jack Nowell at 20. Nowell also becomes the first player to appear in the Championship since Martin Underwood in 1964.
