Distances & elevations are in meters unless otherwise specified. 900 (1)c1 Structural Concrete, Class "A" 624.23 cu.m. 3. All works shall comply with the DPWH Standard Specifications pertaining to this project. 900 (2)c Structural Concrete, Class "B" 140.40 cu.m. 4. Design was based on data obtained from the survey team of the Aklan District Engineering Office. 900 (6) Seal Concrete 50.22 cu.m. 5. All concrete to be used should have a minimum compressive strength of 3,500psi at 28 days unless 1407 (3) Hexapod (1.04 cu.m.) 24.00 piece otherwise specified. 1702 (1)a Structure Excavation 322.42 cu.m. 6. All reinforcing steel to be used shall be grade 40 steel. 1700 (2) Clearing and Grubbing 1.00 l.s. 7. Embankments shall be constructed in accordance with this Specification and in conformity with the 1704 (1)b Embankment (from borrow) 3,396.77 cu.m. lines, grades and dimensions shown on the Plans or established by the Engineer. 1717 (2)a1 Sheet PIles, Steel 1,942.5 meter The materials for the embankments shall not contain any stump, brush, weed, root, turf, clod and other organic matter, clay or other materials shall be broken and beaten and no accumulations at the foot of side slopes of embankment will be permitted. Prior to the commencement of earth fill, the contractor shall carry out under the supervision and to the satisfaction of the Engineer a series of field test to determine to determine the optimum condition of compaction and the minimum number of passes for each type of equipment necessary to compact to the required specification hereafter stated for each type of fill materials. No fill material shall be placed when, in the opinion of the Engineer, satisfactory work cannot be done on account of heavy rain or other adverse condition. Earth fill shall be constructed horizontally to the full width of the embankment in uniform thickness not to exceed 20 cm. after compaction. Obtaining and placing of materials shall be blended sufficiently to secure the highest impermeability and stability of the compacted fill. If the surface of any layer of embankment is too dry or smooth to bond properly with the layer of materials to be placed thereon, it shall be moistured and/ or scarified in an approved manner to provide satisfactory blending surface before the next succeeding layer is placed. The fill materials shall be compacted to a density of not less than 100% of the maximum dry density. The moisture content fill materials shall be to +4% of the optimum moisture content. No materials shall shall be placed on any portion of embankment foundation until such foundation has been cleared, approved by the engineer for placing fill. Fill materials adjacent to structures shall be placed in such a manner as to ensure that they can be satisfactorily compacted with out damage to the structures compaction adjacent to all structures shall be carried out by hand or by suitable hand operated plant. Unless otherwise specified, no fill materials shall be placed and no compaction shall be permitted to adjacent to concrete for fourteen (14) days after placement of concrete. Compaction of backfilling materials placed above burried concrete, however, shall not be permitted to be carried out with vibration except with the prior approval of the Engineer. 8. Sheet shall conform to the requirement of item 400, Piling, sub section 400.2.7, Sheet Piles. Sheet Piles shall be driven to elevation shown on the plans or as directed by the Engineer, where impractical to drive to plan elevation due to subsurface condition, the driving of piles may be stopped at higher elevation with the written permission of the Engineer. However, before granting such permission, the Engineer shall ascertain that the contractor has adequate equipment for the requested driving and that the piles can be driven to the plan elevation with the proper use of this equipment. The top of the piling shall be driven or cut-off to a straight line at the elevation indicated on the plans. The requirements governing the installation of sheet piling shall conform in general to those governing bearing piles as set forth under Item 400, Piling. Confirmatory Boring Test shall be conducted prior to project implementation.
