Incorporating more than five miles of Victorian-era railway and the 1890-built Snoqualmie Depot, the Museum is like no other: antique trains operate weekends from April ‘til October and operate to transport visitors not to another place, but to another time. The exhibit galleries are open daily in the summer, and with reduced hours in the spring and fall. Yet no matter when you visit, there are a multitude of “train”ing opportunities!

Ride into History All aboard a living rail museum!

Washington State changed forever when the Northern Pacific Railroad reached Tacoma in 1883.

In a few short years, the rails led nearly everywhere, and the Snoqualmie Valley was no exception. The Northwest Railway Museum tells this story of settlement and development in the Snoqualmie Depot, aboard the train, and on the Museum campus on Stone Quarry Road. Climb aboard for both adventure and enlightenment.
