No updated list has been published since the 19th century, although incomplete versions were avail- able in several biodiversity information systems. The list contains 729 species distributed in 185 families. It is a preliminary step for the Atlas of Marine Fishes of France that will be further elaborated within the INPN (the National Inventory of the Natural Heritage: https://inpn.mnhn.fr). Une liste des poissons marins se trouvant dans la Zone Économique Exclusive de France a été constituée à partir de plus de 200 références. Part II: Fish types inventoried after 25 April 1944 (Pisces). Spixiana 34 (2): 233-288. Part I of the ichthyological type catalogue of the ZSM (Neumann 2006) reviewed the historic “Old Collection”, of which types were apparently lost in the Second World War. Part II refers to type material physically available in ZSM, including historic types saved and re-inventoried. Rebuilding the ichthyological collection after the war, Otto Schindler received with the so-called “Kähsbauer Donations” historic fish specimens from the Naturhistorisches Museum Wien (NMW). Among them are types from the Natterer and Thayer expeditions to Brazil, from the Hase- man expeditions to South America and from Steindachner’s late Brazil expedition in 1903. As far as possible, exchanged specimens were critically reviewed, traced to original lots and compared with NMW acquisition entries for unambiguous identification. Kovacib (2008): Didogobius amicuscaridis and D. wirtzi, two new species of symbiotic gobiid fish from São Tomé and Cape Verde Islands (Perciformes, Gobiidae) – Spixiana 31/2: 247-261 Two new tropical eastern Atlantic gobies are described, which are obligatorily living in burrows of the axiid shrimp Axiopsis serratifrons. Both new species are placed in Didogobius, which is re-diagnosed. Didogobius amicuscaridis spec. nov. from São Tomé islands and D. wirtzi spec. nov. from the Cape Verde Islands, are similar to each other in overall appearance, but differ by a suite of morphometric characters, meristics and coloration. A comparison of key characters for all known species of the apparently closely related genera Didogobius, Gammogobius and Chro- mogobius is provided. Definitions for all used 41 morphometric distances including several new ones are represented to serve as a reference for gobioid morphometrics. Ulrich K. Here, we infer the timing and geographic origins of Mediterranean teleost species diversity using nucleotide sequences collected from GenBank. We assembled a DNA supermatrix composed of four mitochondrial genes (12S ribosomal DNA, 16S ribosomal DNA, cytochrome c oxidase subunit I and cytochrome b) and two nuclear genes (rhodopsin and recombination activating gene I), including 62% of Mediterranean teleost species plus 9 outgroups. Maximum likelihood and Bayesian phylogenetic and dating analyses were calibrated using 20 fossil constraints. An additional 124 species were grafted onto the chronogram according to their taxonomic affinity, checking for the effects of taxonomic coverage in subsequent diversification analyses. We then interpreted the time-line of teleost diversification in light of Mediterranean historical biogeography, distinguishing non- endemic natives, endemics and exotic species. Results show that the major Mediterranean orders are of Cretaceous origin, specifically ,100–80 Mya, and most Perciformes families originated 80–50 Mya. Two important clade origin events were detected. -

These records represent the easternmost and southernmost observations of the species in the Mediterranean Sea, and the first confirmed record in the Ionian Sea (central Mediterranean Sea).
