Director Bio Clara Balzary is an American writer, director and photographer. Born in Los Angeles, Balzary was raised between California; New South Wales, Australia; and British Columbia in Canada. She studied writing, film and photography at Bennington College in Vermont and the School of Visual Arts in New York. Her photography is known for an intimate representation and reconsideration of the female gaze in conceptual imagery and portraiture. She has been included in the Dazed100, Dazed’s annual list of creatives shaping youth culture, as well as i-D’s “New Genuary” list of photographers defining the future. Shooting mostly to film, she has worked with Caleb Landry Jones, Elle Fanning, Florence Pugh and Tavi Gevinson.

Sasha Frolova In 2016 Sasha made huge strides in her acting career by booking the series regular role of young Cathy in the Amazon pilot The Interestings, directed by Mike Newell and adapted from the award-nominated novel of the same title. She then went on to star as a lead in Dark Rabbit’s feature BLOOD SURF, produced by James Franco and 20th Century Fox’s THE EMPTY MAN opposite James Badge Dale, coming soon. She most recently appeared in Netflix’s The OA and guested on CBS’s Blue Bloods. She also works in fashion in front of the camera, and can be seen most recently in Autumn De Wilde’s latest short film series The Postman Dreams for Prada opposite Elijah Wood.

This year, Sasha appeared in FOX’s RED SPARROW opposite Jennifer Lawrence, directed by Francis Lawrence and in WILD NIGHTS WITH EMILY which premiered at SXSW. In Television, Sasha joins the cast of Snowpiercer for TNT in the role of Mischa, opposite Jennifer Connelly and Daveed Diggs and to shoot later this year.

ODESSA YOUNG Odessa will be seen this September as the lead of this year’s much buzzed-about Sundance hit ASSASSINATION NATION written and directed by Sam Levinson. The film tells the story of a mysterious hacker who leaks inflammatory personal information about the citizens of a small town - leading to ruined lives, destroyed reputations and an increasingly deadly mob intent on tracking down the culprit. She will next begin shooting a lead role in Killer Films’ SHIRLEY opposite Elisabeth Moss. Odessa will soon be seen in two independent features: Sam Taylor Johnson’s A MILLION LITTLE PIECES, the screen adaptation of James Frey’s controversial novel, opposite Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Wayne Roberts’ RICHARD SAYS GOODBYE opposite Johnny Depp. Previous credits include Jamie M. Dagg’s thriller SWEET VIRGINIA opposite Jon Bernthal and the Australian feature THE DAUGHTER opposite Geoffrey Rush. This performance earned Odessa a win as Best Lead Actress at the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Awards.
