OVERALL 9-7 LAST TIME OUT WAC 3-0 Utah Valley University stayed perfect in WAC play, coming from behind before holding off Seattle University in the waning seconds, 58-55, on Saturday afternoon at the Redhawk Center. Eve Braslis matched her career high with 18 points and also LEADING AFTER FIRST QUARTER 3-1 had seven rebounds for the Wolverines. Jordan Holland added 13 points and grabbed nine boards and stole the inbounds LEADING AT THE HALF 7-2 pass with 5.4 seconds left and UVU up two. She scored a career-high 19 points on 8-of-12 shooting. Jordan Holland received the honor on Dec. 14 HAS MORE REBOUNDS 7-3 Cortez after scoring a career-high 24 points while also grabbing 10 rebounds for a double-double in a game at Utah State. HAS LESS REBOUNDS 2-4 received the honor for a second time on Jan. 7 after leading the Wolverines to a 2-0 weekend to open WAC play with REBOUNDS ARE EQUAL 0-0 averages of 13.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 4.0 steals per game while hitting 76.9 percent (10-of-13) from the field. HIGHER SHOOTING PERCENTAGE 7-3 JENSEN SIGNS NLI LOWER SHOOTING PERCENTAGE 2-4 Emery High School star and reigning Utah 3A State MVP Megan Jensen signed a National Letter of Intent with UVU in FEWER TURNOVERS 3-2 November. Jensen announced her signing in November at the Castle Dale, Utah high school. Jensen has led her team MORE TURNOVERS 6-5 to back-to-back appearances in the final game of the Utah State Tournament, including a state championship during her junior season in 2017-18. Both years the 6-foot-3 forward was named tournament MVP. She averaged 17.1 points and 8.8 TURNOVERS ARE EQUAL 0-0 rebounds per game as a junior on her way to earning State 3A MVP honors. SCORES 59 POINTS OR LESS 3-4 WBCA TOP 25 HONOR ROLL SCORES 60-69 POINTS 2-3 The 2017-18 Utah Valley University women’s basketball team landed on the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association’s (WBCA) Division I Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll with the nation’s 16th-ranked GPA. The Wolverines finished with a SCORES 70-79 POINTS 2-0 3.508 team cumulative GPA to sit among 19 Division I womens’ basketball programs with a 3.5 GPA or better. The honor SCORES 80-89 POINTS 1-0 marks the ninth time UVU has made the esteemed WBCA academic list under head coach Cathy Nixon in the squad’s NCAA SCORES 90-99 POINTS 1-0 DI era, with the team twice finishing No. 1 in the nation.
