The southbound on slip road at Junction 1A (Polmadie), a distance of 602 metres or thereby. Prohibitions on use and overtaking. 2. The northbound carriageway from a point 600 metres west of a point directly under the centreline of the A721 Daldowie Drive, generally westwards to a point directly above the centreline of A763 Carmyle Avenue a distance of 2.385 kilometres or thereby. 3. The southbound carriageway from a point directly above the centreline of A763 Carmyle Avenue, generally eastwards to a point 600 metres west of a point directly under the centreline of A721 Daldowie Drive a distance of 2.385 kilometres or thereby. 4. Balloch Charrette Report Final Issue 16th May 2016 Executive Summary Balloch is a village situated on the southern tip of Loch Lomond and as such, is viewed as a southern gateway to the National Park as well as a destination in its own right for day trips and short stays to enjoy the Loch. The Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park and West Dunbartonshire Council, supported by Scottish Enterprise and the Scottish Government, appointed 7N Architects and Nick Wright Planning to carry out a Charrette in Balloch in March 2016. The purpose of the Charrette was to undertake an appraisal of Balloch in its current state through a series of design-led workshops to identify opportunities for co-ordinated action that can benefit the local community, the visitor economy and make Balloch an even better place. A series of community design workshops were held at the National Park Headquarters in Balloch, supported by targeted engagement at local schools, local businesses and community group engagement and an active online discussion on the LIVE Park facebook page. This Charrette Report pulls together the outcome of the Charrette process and sets out a series of indicative proposals and recommendations shaped by the local community that can go forward for use by partners locally to act as a collective action plan for the future of Balloch. Many people have between them provided hundreds or thousands of records and this publication would not have been possible without them. More particularly, before my recording from 1996 onwards, plant records have been collected and collated in three distinct periods since the nineteenth century by previous botanists working in Dumfriesshire. The first of these was George F. Scott- Elliot. He was an eminent explorer and botanist who edited the first and only Flora so far published for Dumfriesshire in 1896. His work was greatly aided by other contributing botanists probably most notably Mr J.T. Johnstone and Mr W. Stevens. The second was Humphrey Milne-Redhead who was a GP in Mainsriddle in Kircudbrightshire from 1947. He was both the vice county recorder for Bryophytes and for Higher Plants for all three Dumfries and Galloway vice counties! During his time the first systematic recording was stimulated by work for the first Atlas of the British Flora (1962). He published a checklist in 1971/72. The third period of recording was between 1975 and 1993 led by Stuart Martin and particularly Mary Martin after Stuart’s death. Mary in particular continued systematic recording and recorded for the monitoring scheme in 1987/88. -
