With your support, we:

• Increased patient visits by 25 percent over 3 years. • Expanded a centralized Spanish/English Call Center, improving service for patients over the phone and in exam rooms. • Joined the Maryland Babies Born Healthy initiative, a program to decrease low birth weight and poor birth outcomes among African American women in Baltimore City. HONEST EDUCATION

Because of you, we:

• Educated over 8,000 people through 390 single-session programs and over 2,500 people at community health fairs and festivals. • Were awarded the “Program of the Year” by the Caroline County Human Services Council for our Teenage Pregnancy Prevention Program. • Trained over 1,000 youth-serving professionals at 68 trainings across the state. • Co-sponsored two trainings with the Arc of Baltimore and Baltimore County Public Schools attended by over 150 teachers and other human service professionals working with people with disabilities. • Conducted the 8th annual Teen Peer Education Training, graduating 14 Peer Educators who conducted nine Teen Talks for other teens, provided 86 one-on-one education sessions during our Teen Thursday walk-in clinic, and partnered with New Lens to create the video “Healthy Relationships Begin With You.”

I absolutely love the contraception program and so do my students. Not to mention they really need this information and your program gives it the best!

Fearless Advocacy

Together we took on Annapolis and:

• Defeated Senate Bill 195, which would have required abortion providers to force ultrasound viewings upon patients, inserting politics into the dialogue between a woman and her health care provider. • Opposed House Bill 925, which would have granted legal rights to fertilized eggs, a clear attempt to criminalize abortion in Maryland. The bill was tabled with the close of the legislative session. • Lobbied on behalf of the Baltimore City Babies Born Healthy initiative with the help of 20 volunteers and staff members.

DEDICATED VOLUNTEERS

You made a tremendous difference in day-to-day operations:

• 25 Board Members and 39 volunteers helped with outreach at community events, teaching contraception classes in public schools, internships, and our teen Peer Education program. • 73 volunteers assisted in fundraising and public affairs by planning events, writing and calling supporters, soliciting donations, and lobbying in Annapolis. • PPM held two major volunteer-driven community events with nearly 400 people in attendance, including the 2nd Annual William G. Robertson, Jr., Volunteer Award Luncheon, where we honored Laurie Schwab Zabin, Ph.D., for years of support and dedicated volunteer service, and the 4th annual spring fundraiser, Celebrate Our Right to Shoes. 330 North Howard Street Baltimore, Maryland 21201
