Cardinal Ambrozic C.S.S. (Brampton)

. November 17 - Cyberbullying Awareness and Intervention Presentation by Sergeant Sandro Strangio – 9:30 a.m. . November 21 - "CA SAYS NO MORE" Launch during all three lunches on Cardinal Avenue. Students signing banner, compliments booth, CA SAYS NO MORE photo booth, henna with positive messaging, CA SAYS NO MORE STICKER campaign. . November 22 - Bullying Presentation for Grade 10 student. Guest Speaker: Anthony McLean. Time: 9:30 a.m. . November 23 - Unity Day at CA with Unity Charity: Assembly for all Grade 11 students in the school cafeteria at 9:30 am. Students will then partake in a 15 minute cypher at lunch. During periods 3 and 4, Grade 11 students will participate in a variety of workshops focusing on using the arts to create positive messaging- led by Unity Charity Artists: Spoken Word, Graffiti Art, Beat Boxing and Break-dancing. . November 24 - Conquer the Fear Tour: Guest speakers and artists including Cardinal Ambrozic C.S.S. graduate Alexi Couto deliver a powerful anti-bullying message for Grade 9 students at 9:00 a.m. Other speakers include: Raoul Junega - Entertainment Journalist, Shane Kippel - Former Actor, Hip Hop Artist Brad Ford and Pop Artist Jae Cabrera.

Father Daniel Zanon School (Mississauga)

. Pink ribbons will adorn the front trees and students will make morning announcements throughout the week. . November 21 - Kick-off Assembly to be held at 9:30 a.m. PowerPoint presentation and Moment of Silence in the school gym, Pledge sheet School Community Banner for signatures presented by Youth Faith Ambassadors. . November 22 - T-shirt/Hat creation activity with Anti-bullying message through pictures and/or words. . November 23 - Pink Day: Staff and students to wear pink in support of anti-bullying. . November 24 - Classroom Read-alouds: Teachers will read books with anti-bullying messages. T- shirts and/or Hats will be hung by each classroom throughout the hallways. . November 25 - “Put the Bully to Bed” Pajama Day and Closing Liturgy at 2:50 p.m. Father Francis McSpiritt School (Brampton)

. November 25 - Father Francis McSpiritt has invited the NPU officer to do anti-bullying presentations with the Grade 1 to 3 students. At a later date the NPU officer will return to do Youth Education lessons with Grades 4 to 8.

Georges Vanier Catholic School (Brampton)

. November 21 - In order to commemorate Anti-bullying week Georges Vanier School will be hosting the Power of One Presentation. The presentation will address all issues pertaining to bullying including the bully, the bullied and bystander.

Holy Name of Mary C.S.S. (Brampton)

. November - In the month of November, Legacy students at Holy Name of Mary C.S.S. have started a new initiative called HNM Hero to help engage students to get involved and be aware of the troublesome dilemma of bullying that has dominated thoughts and actions in society. Legacy has arranged many activities throughout the month of November with the intention of creating a positive school environment. In order to achieve this, anti-bullying wristbands, t- shirts, and hoodies are available for purchase throughout the school with the proceeds being donated to Kids Help Phone. Students will also be able to take part in activities such as anti- bullying quizzes, pledge wall, poster and poem competitions held by Legacy Leaders! HNM Hero is a project we are anticipating will leave a lasting impact for the following months and years to come.

Our Lady of Providence School (Brampton)

. November 21-25 - Students will listen to daily announcements prayers, poems, songs, mediations, Scripture passages, reflections and the school pledge. . November 21 - A minute of silence to recognize all victims and bystanders. The entire school will be challenged each day to promote healthy friendships and create a safe school community. Leo Barbe will work in collaboration with our Grade 7 and 8 students on November 21 to build awareness, educating our students on mental health awareness, as well as cultivating positive friendships. . November 22 - Students and staff will participate in a Bully Awareness speaker’s corner recordings and these will be shared with the rest of school during the assembly at the end of the week. . November 24 - Classes will partake in a bully awareness door decorating contest which will be judged by our parent community volunteers. The students and staff will also participate in a Post it Note day in the form of footprints to reflect the theme of our Catholic Education Week “Walking Forward Together.” The footprints will reflect positive messages to others and be displayed throughout the school for all to see. . November 25 - The entire school will wear pink to symbolize the unity of all to stand up, speak out against bullying. There will also be assemblies for the school to recite the school pledge together, showcase speakers corner, sing songs, and watch student created videos.

St. Bonaventure Catholic School (Brampton)

. November 21 - Poster Contest - Every class will take part in a poster contest displaying anti- bullying and safe school messages. These posters will be displayed in the school main hallways. All staff will have an opportunity to cast their vote for the best poster according to division; FDK, grade 1-3, grade 4-6 and grade 7-8. . November 25 - Pink Day - All students and staff are encouraged to wear pink to show their support for the International Day of Pink and stand up against bullying. . November 21-25 - Daily Announcement on the PA: Prayers and messages for peace and bullying awareness and prevention.

St. Cornelius School (Caledon East)

. November 9 - UPower presentation by motivational speaker Sara Westbrook: 9:30 a.m. & 1:15 p.m. . November 21-25 - Daily Announcements: Students will read prayers and announcements about Bullying Prevention and awareness . November 21 - The Caring Tree, Using the “Caught you Caring” from our theme last year, teachers will be provided with leaves created by committee members and/or Youth Faith Ambassadors. On the leaf, staff will write the students name, grade and how they showed caring. Throughout the month, we will continue to add to the leaves to the Caring Tree. . November 21 - Moment of Silence at 10:00 a.m. . November 22 - Chains of Conscience: Each class will receive blue slips of paper for students to write their names on and then create a class chain. In unison, after an announcement of our school’s Anti-Bullying Pledge, every class will attach their chain above their door. . November 23 - Blue Day - Staff and students wear blue to show our unified pledge for peace and to prevent bullying. . November 23 - A Stand Up to Bullying/Virtue of Conscience Assembly at 9:30 a.m. & 10:20 a.m. . November 24 - Rainbow Day - staff and students will wear rainbow colours to show their “True Colours” (connected to the Cyndi Lauper song.) This symbolizes how each of our students is a unique gift from God. . November 25 - Crazy Hair Day - students and staff are asked to wear unique hair styles to celebrate our differences. . November 25 - Before last recess, the school will join in a Flash mob dance in their classrooms. Teachers will play the Wild Things Video on their Smart Board. The song will play over the PA system. They will dance to the “Wild Things” by Alessia Cara. . November 25 - Mass - At 10:00 a.m. our intermediate students will participate in an Intermediate Division Mass at St. John the Evangelist Parish. St. Edmund Campion S.S. (Brampton)

. November 21-25 - Media Arts Bullying Poster Display . Leadership and Alternative Education students, along with the Social Inclusion group, will be hosting a series of events over the lunch hours for students to engage in. Students will distribute blue ribbons as a campaign for the week, along with Kindness/Love postcards.

St. Francis Xavier School (Brampton)

. November 17 - The SAIDAT Show is coming to St. FX Elementary. As an introduction to Bullying Awareness and Prevention Week, we are pleased to announce the presentation of The Saidat Show on November 17th. Students from Kindergarten to Grade 8 will participate in this event focusing on self-esteem, serving others, self-confidence, and living the virtues. The message Care, Share, Give, is highlighted throughout, inspiring student to actively engage in making their community a better place, realizing self-worth, and maintaining a growth mindset. Music and dance will further engage students during Hip Hop workshops that will continue throughout the day with all classes. A great way to keep positive, and have fun. . November 21-25 - During Bullying Awareness and Prevention Week, we will recognize the impact that bullying has on our Catholic school communities, and develop an understanding of the far-reaching impact bullying has on individuals through prayers, and announcements shared over the PA. Crime Stoppers and NPU officers will be making presentations to students.

St. Francis Xavier S.S. (Mississauga)

. November 17-25 - The eighth annual St. Francis Xavier Real Me Campaign launches on November 17 and runs through to November 25. During this time our school focuses on issues of self-esteem and anti-bullying. We launch our campaign with a student led assembly for all grade nines that explores awareness raising issues around bullying as well as how to develop an authentic self through faith, friendship and positive communication with peers through spoken word, music, drama and other student products. In the week that follows student council and leadership classes in conjunction with Community Partners Rising Stars will feature a series of consciousness raising activities around anti-bullying, positive relationship building and self- esteem. . November 23 – St. Francis Xavier S.S. will host the official launch of the What if Everyone Did Something to Stop Cyberbullying? Poster and Video Competition. Working in partnership with Peel Regional Police, Peel District School Board, and the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board; this assembly for all Grade 10 students will focus on how to create Cyberbullying Awareness posters and videos.

St. John Paul II Catholic School (Bolton)

. November 21-25 - Throughout the week there will be announcements to promote inclusion and remind students how to deal with bullying situations. . November 21 - The Spirit Council will have their annual kick-off assembly which will include an anti-bullying message. . November 22 - The Youth Faith Ambassadors will be visiting classrooms to share a liturgy with each class and lead an anti-bullying activity for the students. . November 23 - Staff and students are encouraged to wear school colours (black and red) to show that we stand together against bullying. . November 24 - Our monthly virtue assembly will teach the students about conscience. . November 25 - Students will participate in an anti-bullying activity in their classrooms.

St. Marguerite d’Youville S.S. (Brampton)

. November 21 - Pink Links: Students in Religion classes will be making a Link Chain with words of kindness on them, to hang around the school. . November 22 - Students will be conducting a FREESTYLE RAP OFF in our cafeteria during the lunches around positive catch words to promote Anti-Bullying and Inclusion. . November 23 - Students will be watching a movie on Anti-Bullying in the cafeteria during Period 4 and will be able to purchase a Hero Burger package from Hero Burgers and pink popcorn with proceeds going to Kids Help Line. . November 24 - Bake Sale: Students will be selling baked items during lunches to raise money for Kids Help Line. . November 25 - Students will be writing Post-it notes with positive messages on them and post them in a central location in our Matrix as another visual message against bullying. . November 21-25 - The Team will also have Daily Tweets, Reflections on the Announcements all week, and Public Service Announcement Videos running in the Cafeteria during lunches.

St. Maria Goretti School (Brampton)

November 21-25 - Pause & Reflect: As a school community we will pause to reflect on a gospel reading that connects to the theme of the day and our role in the fight against bullying (over the PA). . November 21 - Blue Day (wear blue): Walking forward together with God In recognition of Canada’s military role as Peacekeepers and how we are all called to be “Upstanders” not “Bystanders”. Opening Liturgy lead by the Youth Faith Ambassadors (YFA) and a video reflection on being an “Upstander”. One minute of silence will be honoured at the liturgy. . November 22 - Twin Day (dress like another student or connect with your sibling): Walking forward together with our families. YFA to have a photo booth set up in the atrium for ‘twins’ to take photos because we are called to live as a family and stand up for each other. . November 23 - Country Day (calling all cowboys and cowgirls!): Walking together with others. YFA to teach all students to do a country line dance then we will have a ‘Flash Dance Mob” at the end of the day and link it back to anti bullying and having the courage to stand up and say/do things that may feel uncomfortable like dancing. . November 24 - Colour Group/Virtue Day (wear your colour group colour): Walking forward together with creation. Groups will focus on hurtful words and how they ‘bruise’ our souls just like the inside of an apple when you drop it. Students will observe the bruising of an apple to foster discussion and encourage reflection. . November 25 - Purple Day (wear purple): Walking Forward Together in hope. “Hope” that we can help put an end to Cyber bulling. YFA to make presentations to each class with a grade appropriate introduction and video.

St. Roch C.S.S. (Brampton)

St. Thomas Aquinas S.S. (Brampton)

November 17 - In support of Bullying Awareness and Prevention Week, St. Thomas Aquinas S.S. will host its Annual Guys Night In on November 17 from 2:30-8:30 p.m. It is an action packed and fun-filled evening where our Grade 9 boys will come together with senior mentors in the spirit of camaraderie, fun and faith to help build school spirit and to develop a stronger sense of community at St. Thomas Aquinas. Keynote speaker Wali Shah, a renowned spoken word poet, will address the boys about bullying and inclusion. Our keynote speaker will also conduct presentations during the day delivering his impactful and engaging message to our entire school community. In addition, our Support Services staff at St. Thomas Aquinas will conduct an evening presentation on November 17 exclusively for parents entitled “Understanding a Boy’s World in the 21st Century”. The reality of bullying amongst boys will be discussed and parents will be given insight on what signs to look for when their teen is being bullied or is bullying others.
