Ninety-one year old Peter Bloomfield (accompanied by two of his sons, Michael and David) returned to Thorney Island for the first time in 53 years on 9 June for a tour organised by the Royal Artillery (Warrant Officer Peter Hope) and a lunch at the Officer’s Mess hosted by the RAF’s Wing commander Cal Lowey.
