Also I noticed Ogier has only won two out of four WRC rounds as yet. Perhaps will years championships will be more exciting and different winners. In terms of our championships it’s good to see that events in all disciplines have now taken place and the comple- tion looks good. Also very good to see is the large number of people who have already claimed marshalling points. As I write this it’s the weekend of the Pirelli Rally and it looks like they might have some snow to cope with, well it is the end of April/start of May !! Blackpool South Shore Motor Club members had a hectic weekend competing on and organ- ising events last month but by the end of which most were left with plaudits ring in their ears. Malcolm Wilson Stages 12th March Sunday saw the first of the South Shore Motor Club’s annual rally days with the running of the Roskirk Stages and Roskirk Junior Stages at Wigan’s Three Sisters Race Circuit. It was hailed a resounding success with a maximum combined 65 car entry completing all twelve scheduled special stages within a tight time schedule. Craig Simkiss and Chris Sharpe-Simkiss were both on co-driver call again and were locked in a fierce battle for a Roskirk stages victory. In the end both were de- nied as Martyn Tinker and Iain Petterson took the win- ners laurels in their Lotus Exge. Sharpe-Simkiss did at least claim South Shore bragging rights after finishing runner-up alongside Brandon Smith in a Darrian T9 but sadly Simkiss, his cousin, failed to finish. Co-driving Peter Jackson a collapsed wheel bearing forced their Ford Escort Mk2 into retirement on the ninth stage Saturday saw a number of members in competitive ac- whilst in second place.

Après quatre brillantes saisons en European Le Mans Series (ELMS), le pilote francilien accède au pinacle des courses d'endurance. Il disputera les neuf manches du calendrier mondial, dont les 24 Heures du Mans comme point d'orgue. Jackie Chan DC Racing a décidé de s'allier aux britanniques de Jota Sport (écurie championne d’Europe en titre et victorieuse des 24 Heures du Mans en 2014) pour aligner deux Oreca 07, respectivement confiées aux deux pilotes Platinium, Tristan Gommendy et Oliver Jarvis (2nd du WEC 2016 avec Audi Sport Team Joest). Le Français partagera l'Oreca n°37 avec l'Anglais Alex Brundle et le Chinois David Cheng. Au volant de l'Oreca n°38, Oliver fera équipe avec le Français Thomas Laurent et le Sino-Néerlandais Ho-Pin Tung.
