RUSH ANNOUNCE R40 LIVE 40TH ANNIVERSARY TOUR – Rush to Visit 34 Cities Throughout North America in 2015 – – Tickets On Sale in Select Markets Beginning Jan. 30 at LiveNation.com – LOS ANGELES (Jan. 22, 2015) – Celebrating 40 years, Rush and Live Nation confirmed today that the RUSH: R40 LIVE TOUR will visit 34 cities throughout North America this summer beginning May 8 in Tulsa, Okla. and finishing Aug. 1 in Los Angeles, Calif. These not-to-be-missed concerts will highlight four decades of the band’s music. Tickets for the RUSH: R40 LIVE TOUR will go on sale starting Jan. 30 in select markets at Ticketmaster.com and LiveNation.com (complete itinerary follows). Over the course of their amazing career, Rush has lived a lifetime together, providing an influential soundtrack to many of their fans’ lives. Some have been with them since the start, while others have discovered them along the way and delved into their incredible body of work. To quote Dave Grohl from their momentous induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, “Rush built their following the right way. No hype, no bullshit, they did it from the ground up. Their legacy is incredible and their influence undeniable.” After 40 years together and 20 gold and platinum studio albums, Rush is ready to celebrate with the most loyal fans in the world by embarking on their 21st tour, one that will most likely be their last major tour of this magnitude. Celebrate four decades of music with three incredible musicians—all in one night. Rush’s vast catalogue includes such classics as 1974’s self-titled debut, 1976’s 2112, 1981’s Moving Pictures, 1996’s Test For Echo and 2002’s Vapor Trails. Rush released their 20th studio album Clockwork Angels in 2012, via Anthem/Roadrunner Records. The critically acclaimed collection marked their first studio recording since 2007’s Snakes & Arrows, and debuted at #1 in Canada and #2 on the Billboard 200, matching the highest chart debut of the band’s career. Known for their energetic live shows, the most recent Rush release was the R40 collector’s boxset, including live footage spanning all four decades of the trio’s career, with over two hours of unreleased material and a rare performance of the seven-part version of “2112,” packaged in an impressive 52-page hardcover book. Their longevity has served a pop culture renaissance, with the band’s rare television appearance—their first in over 30 years—on Comedy Central’s The Colbert Report, tributes on South Park and a memorable cameo in the film I Love You, Man. A live review from their most recent Clockwork Angels tour boasted: “the power-trio interplay could put guys half their age in the burn ward.” The Globe & Mail declared Rush as “one of the few bands anywhere that just keeps getting better.” A career-chronicling Rolling Stone feature summed up the renowned rock trio’s continuing artistic vitality by observing, “It’s true that Rush doesn’t mean today what it did in ’76 or even ’96. It may mean more.” Rush has been recognized with eight Juno Awards and seven Grammy nominations, including one for the acclaimed documentary Rush: Beyond The Lighted Stage that also won the Audience Award at the Tribeca Film Festival. The band members were inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 1994, made Officers of the Order of Canada in 1996 and inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2010. They have received a star on both Canada’s Walk of Fame (1999) and the Hollywood Walk of Fame (2010). In 2012, Rush were bestowed with the highest artistic honor in Canada when receiving the Governor General’s Performing Arts Award. To the elation of their fans, Rush were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2013.     The decision for an early arrival time at the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh on the Eleventh day of September in the year of our Lord 2012, was made by our Executive Board here at Dragon Line Central for three reasons…One: We felt that it was necessary in order to facilitate the pickup of our V I P tickets…Two: We wanted ample time to find our seats and to acquire some much desired beverages for consumption, and Three: We had a mission to accomplish…and although our particular part to play in this mission was only recently revealed to us a little over a year ago, it is in fact a mission that had been in the making for a little over a half a century… The planning stages of this Operation began On December 1, 1946, when a locally based department store Magnate by the name of Edgar Kaufmann in conjunction with a Pittsburgh City Councilman named Abe Wolk declared that the city of Pittsburgh was in need of a new Amphitheater. Kaufmann’s Store Owner Pittsburgh City Councilman: < Edgar Kaufmann Sr. Abraham Wolk > Pittsburgh Civic Arena: Under Construction-Circa: 1959-1960 A little over two years later, on February 4, 1949, Kaufmann and the city each pledged $500,000 for construction and the search for a site began. In February 1950, Kaufmann revealed plans drawn up by architects James A. Mitchell and Dahlen K. Ritchey for a 10,500-seat Umbrella Amphitheater. The city of Pittsburgh and Allegheny County formed the Public Auditorium Authority in March of 1953 to assist in land purchases and construction planning; in September of 1955 the Federal Government approved a redevelopment plan making available over $ 17 million in loans and grants.

This was an art,a fine peace of art. I read it in one day. Literally couldn't put the book down for a second. Everything is perfect and matchesand I really dig the lifestyle of the time before two hundred years,the classy outfits and the funny teasing. The plot is beyond goodness,and it has every paranormal creature. The book is written in third person and who knows me knows Clockwork Angel I don't like books in third person but in this one I didn't mind at all. It was perfectly build and the story fits well with characters,their personality with their actions,the style of talking with the time book is written in. Everything is in the right place. I also liked the romance in this book,because the book needed it and I'm so glad that the author didn't make it a big deal,like the reason of things happening because I'm tired with books where only true love and stuff like this triumph.

DURRELL BOWMAN Given Canada’s relatively small population (twenty-one million in 1969, thirty-four million in 2009), many—but certainly not all—of the nation’s more ambitious musicians have pursued at least some of their career activities in the US and other foreign parts. Rush mainly demonstrates “Canadianness” by combining such British and American influences as progressive rock, hard rock, and indi- vidualism. However, the band has also included more specifically Canadian references across its long career. CanCon The Canadian government implemented specific content—or “CanCon”—regulations in 1971, and broadcasters were then required to include certain percentages of Canadian material. For music, at least two of a song recording’s four main categories of Music, Artist, Production, and Lyrics (“M-A-P-L”) must be “Canadian” according to citizenship or location. The interpretation of this changed after 1991, due to a “scandal” involving Bryan Adams failing to qualify as Canadian because of co-writing certain songs, such as “(Everything I Do) I Do it For You” ( Waking up the Neighbours and Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves , both 1991), with such non-Canadians as Mutt Lange and Michael Kamen. (Spelling the word “neighbours” in the Canadian way apparently didn’t help.) The outcome is that even though Shania Twain similarly co- wrote the songs on Come on Over (1997) with her then-husband Mutt Lange and did not record any of this music in Canada, her album and its songs by that point qualified as Canadian.

Viel Konzeptstory (Oppiges Booklet von Artwork-Ikone Hugh Syme) lassen allerdings Wissenswertes Ober den Entstehungsprozess von "Clockwork Angels" erfahrt den Schluss zu , dass "Clockwork Angels" das insgesamt stimmigste und ihr in unserem grol1en Interview mit Geddy Lee etwas weiter vorne im Heft, gehaltvollste Album seit "Counterparts" ist. Reife Leistung und ein absolut weshalb wir uns an dieser Stelle gleich in die musikalischen Details storzen. wOrdiges "Album des Monats"! "Clockwork Angels" startet mit den beiden schmissigen Songs "Caravan" und ••• Mike Borrink "BU2B", die die Kanadier bereits auf der "Time Machine Tour" live prasentieren konnten . Die absoluten Highlights aber kommen spater: Vor all em in der Stimmen zur Platte: abschliel1enden Ballade "The Garden" (einer der emotionalsten Songs in der Geschichte von Rush) nehmen die Streicher eine zentrale Rolle ein. Auch der "Hatten sich Rush bei ,Snakes And Arrows' in eine Sackgasse gespielt, so wirkt eher gradlinige Rocker "The Anarchist" gewinnt durch diesen Farbtupfer enorm ,Clockwork Angels' wie ein Befreiungsschlag.
