Thursday, June 29, 2017 ARTIST SPOTLIGHT Pete Schlegel Pete Schlegel Music Current Single “I Don’t Drink Anymore” Songwriters Pete Schlegel Hometown Paulding, Ohio Artist Bio: Paulding, Ohio native Pete Schlegel remembers being enthralled with country music since early childhood, when he would listen to country radio while milking the cows on his grandparents’ dairy farm. As an adult, he worked as a state trooper and EMS helicopter pilot but ultimately dreamed of life as a musician. He moved to Nashville in 2002 and began working with producer Clyde Brooks. Brooks produced Pete's debut album, Strong Stuff, which saw three singles burst onto national music charts. From 2005-2008, Schlegel toured with Daryle Singletary and Jeff Carson. Schlegel released his fourth album, a collaboration with Nashville producer Greg Cole, in 2014. Joe Kelly Entertainment and On The Rhodes Entertainment group signed Schlegel in 2016. Earlier this year, he released his sixth album J-Town #realcountryandproud, which includes his single “I Don’t Drink Anymore.” The single is being worked by the radio promotion team of Anne Chrisman, Anne Sarosdy and Regina Raleigh.
