Prince arrived in Charlotte on the evening of Harlem Globetrotters 2 March 24th, 2011 for his Welcome 2 America Tour during his North and South Carolina leg of the tour. 2011 World Tour With Anthony Hamilton as the opening act the place Upcoming Time Warner 2 was hyped up to see Prince. Anthony Hamilton, a Char- Cable Arena Events: lotte, NC native opened the show with some of his April 2011 from his new CD and his past CD’s. Although he performed Concert 3 many songs, he did not perform some of the major hits, Top 10 things to do in LV 4 “1999”, “”, and “Delirious”. Excalibur of Las Vegas, 4 After the closing song, fans were waiting for Tournament of Kings Review almost 20 minutes before Prince came back out per- forming 2 songs combined into one as his encore. Al- though Prince did not perform some of his major hits, the fans still loved the show. The set list of his songs is below.

Harlem Globetrotters 2011 World Tour The world famous Harlem Globetrotters bounced, dribbled, and jumped their way into Time War- ner Cable Arena on the night of March 25th, 2011, 24 hours after Prince’s great performance. The Harlem Globetrotters 2011 World Tour featured the new shot called the 4-point shot. The Globetrotters went against their rivals, Washington Generals in a very intensive and close game. Throughout the game, there was a lot of fan interaction and participation. From being able to take a shot with one of the Globetrotters, to dancing the YMCA at Halftime. Also added to the show was the “Penalty Box”, which was anytime the Globetrotters did anything funny to the referees they were added to the “Penalty Box” for 10 to 20 seconds. After the show, the Globe- trotters held an autograph session for about 30 minutes. All in all, the show was one for the history books as one of the closest games against the Generals in years.

ALL TIME LOW Gets Dirty in Charlotte

All Time Low came through Charlotte on their Dirty Works Tour 2011 with guests , , and on Tues- day, March 29th, 2011. With The Fillmore as the venue for the night, the con- cert was one that was jumping from beginning to end. With The Summer Set as the opening band, they sang a number of songs from their upcoming al- bum, set to be released later this year. Hey Monday was the next band to take the stage. With lead vocalist , Mike Gentile on lead guitar, Alex Lipshaw on rhythm guitar and Pat McKenzie on drums, they mixed songs from their new EP, “Beneath It All” and their first CD, “Hold On Tight”. Next up was everyone’s longtime favorite 90’s band, Yellowcard! Since their hiatus two years ago, Yellowcard has been popular with their newly released album, “When Through Thinking Say Yes” Singing songs from all their albums, they closed with the very popular song, “Ocean Avenue”. All Time Low came to the stage as the closer and highlighter of the tour. Opening with a new song from the soon to be released album, “Dirty Work” called “Time Bomb”. They then sang songs from their previous albums. The end of the night ended with “Weightless and “Dear Maria”. All in all, the concert was one that will be remembered for years to come. Similar to Medieval Times, Tournament of Kings is one show that has the effects of lasers, lights, pyrotechnics, and fun all mixed into one. The dinner part of the show is very exciting, no utensils.
