NBC WASHINGTON, Washington, D.C. Sept 2014 – Present Weekend Assignment Editor I select our newscasts’ stories with producers and reporters. I monitor breaking news, set up interviews with subjects and confirm information through local authorities and sources. I gather content from social media. Notable coverage: I manned the assignment desk on my own when Prince William County Police Officer Ashley Guindon was shot and killed on her first day on the job, a tragic story that went national.

DC Bureau Content Producer I cover national events for the NBC Owned Television Stations, interviewing members of congress and other government agencies. I attend press conferences and pick sound bites for stations to use in their broadcasts. Notable coverage: I attended SCOTUS nominee Merrick Garland’s first meeting on Capitol Hill with Sen. Patrick Leahy of Vermont.
