The county’s previous largest increase came June 23 when 649 new cases were reported. “A large amount of data was entered into the database as a result of a backlog of cases over the past several days,” the county’s COVID-19 dashboard said. “This caused a spike in the number of new cases.” The county has now reported a total of 12,550 cases and 253 deaths.
