The details of the recommendations will be published shortly. The budget approved for 2016 is €1.82 million. For the period 2013 to 2016 the total amounts of grants allocated under Carding will amount to €6.5 million. TTeameam IIrelandreland GGolfolf The board of Sport Ireland has approved the recommendations of the Team Ireland Golf committee for 2016. €200,000 will be invested under the scheme in 2016. Details will be published in due course by the Confederation of Golf in Ireland. It will include grants to individual golfers who are seeking to make breakthroughs on the main professional golf tours and in support of the Challenge Tour event in Ireland in 2016 which is an essential component of the package of support for golf.     Swim Ireland News Issue - March/April 2014 Welcome UPCOMING EVENTS Hello and Welcome to the March/April Issue of the Swim June 26th—29th Ireland E-Zine. Irish Age Group Division 2 ; We have had an extremely busy 2 months in March and UL Sport, Limerick April with many events taking place across all of the Aquatic Disciplines July 16th—20th We are looking to include as much content as possible in Irish Age Group Championships our e-zines so if you have any aquatic discipline or club and Summer Open; NAC, Dublin news please send it to [email protected]. Our next issue will be published in June 2014. National Championships Round-Up Congratulations to all of the swimmers, clubs, coaches and officials involved in the Irish Long Course National Championships at the end of April. The four day event was a huge success with a number of notable performances from our top swimmers. Pictured: Brendan Hyland Tallaght SC on his way to breaking the Brendan Hyland continued his good form with a new 200m Butterfly Irish Senior Record Irish Senior 200m Butterfly Record of 1:58.68 on the first day of competition. On Day 2, Melanie Houghton broke the Irish 50m Butterfly Record posting a new time of 27.53 seconds in the heats and then lowered that time to 27.33 in the semi-finals. Michael Dawson (50 Breaststroke), Curtis Coulter (100m Freestyle) and Jordan Sloan (50m Back- stroke) all went under the nomination time for the Commonwealth Games in July. And, on the final day 16 year old Dearbhail McNamara, who had already qualified for the European Junior Swimming Championships, went under the European Senior qualification time for the 200m Breaststroke with a National Title wining time of 2:32.95.

    rfl official guide 2012 working.e$S:RL GUIDE 2006 FRIDAY PM 17/1/12 14:41 Page 131 Section A Membership and Membership Obligations rfl official guide 2012 working.e$S:RL GUIDE 2006 FRIDAY PM 17/1/12 14:41 Page 132 MEMBERSHIP & MEMBERSHIP OBLIGATIONS Section A1: Membership & Membership Obligations CLUBS: ACCEPTANCE OF OPERATIONAL RULES A1:1 All Clubs which participate in Super League, the Championships, or in any league or competition or any game under the jurisdiction of the RFL or organised by the RFL are deemed by acceptance of the invitation to be bound by the Operational Rules (including but not limited to those relating to discipline or Misconduct), the Rules and Regulations of any body of which the RFL is a member, the terms of any agreement entered into by the RFL and the Laws of the Game and accept the jurisdiction of the RFL. A copy of the Laws of the Game and the Operational Rules relevant to the particular competition shall be sent to each of the intended participating Clubs prior to that Club's entry in such competition being accepted. APPLICABLE LAWS A1.2 All Clubs which participate in Super League or in any league or competition or any game under the jurisdiction of the RFL or organised by the RFL are required to act in accordance with all applicable laws. Each Club agrees that the RFL shall be entitled to take any action and/or make such orders as it considers appropriate where to do otherwise would knowingly allow a Club to breach any applicable laws even where such behaviour is not prohibited through a strict interpretation of these Operational Rules.

Much like the UN, the ICC brings representatives from all cricket-playing countries together to make administrative decisions about the future of cricket. Unlike the UN, however, not all countries have an equal input; the ICC decides which members are worthy of “Test” status (Full Members), and which are not (Associate Members). While the Council has experienced many successes, including hosting the prestigious World Cup and promoting cricket at a grassroots level, it also continues to receive its fair share of criticism, predominantly regarding the ICC’s perceived obstruction of the growth of the game within non- traditionally cricketing nations and prioritizing the commercialization of the sport over globalizing it.
