DAY 3: MUMBAI | PUNE – Take an expertly guided tour of Mumbai: Gateway of India; Hanging gardens; Malabar Hills; Dhobi Gat; Marine Drive; Gandhi Memorial Museum; Jain Temple. – Travel to Sangam World Centre in Pune. DAY 4: SANGAM WORLD CENTRE Visit Sangam World Centre in Pune. DAY 5: SANGAM WORLD CENTRE Spend time at Sangam World Centre. DAY 6: DELHI – Fly to Delhi, an intriguing city where traditional and colonial history create a rich, modern culture all its own. DAY 7: DELHI – Take a guided tour of Old Delhi. – Visit Jama Masjid, one of India’s largest mosques. – Visit Rajghat, the site of Mahatma Ghandi’s cremation after his 1948 assassination. – Visit Chandni Chowk Bazaar. DAY 8: DELHI | JAIPUR – Take a guided tour of New Delhi’s tree-lined streets and orderly colonial buildings. – Visit Humayun’s Tomb, which predates the Taj Mahal. – Visit Dilli Haat, a lively outdoor marketplace where bargaining is the name of the game. DAY 10: AGRA – Transfer to Agra via Fatehpur Sikri. – Visit the Taj Mahal. Among Agra’s many fine examples of Mughal architecture, the Taj Mahal is without doubt the most fascinating. Built in an Islamic theme to represent paradise, the Taj Mahal Delhi (2) was created by Shah Jahan as an eternal symbol of love for his favorite wife, Mumtaz Mahal (“Jewel of the Palace”), who died Jaipur (2) Agra (1) during childbirth.
