Photo This is an unusual holiday season. by Nevit Dilmen For some of us, looking out at a di - vided country, it is difficult to know how to face the end of this year and the beginning of the next. This magazine shapes itself around the calendar, and I have been gathering events through early February. I hope they may give warmth when we need it. And this year, as I look for lighted trac - tor parades and winter markets and Hanukkah and Kwanzaa cele - brations, I am more than usually aware of the deeper notes in them.
