Additionally, FS2 offers live coverage of the ARCA RACING SERIES from Gateway Friday at 9:00 PM ET. While FOX NASCAR’s 2018 MONSTER ENERGY NASCAR CUP SERIES race coverage concludes this weekend, live coverage of the entire NASCAR CAMPING WORLD TRUCK SERIES schedule continues through the end of the season. During the week, FS1’s NASCAR RACE HUB, NASCAR’s most-watched daily news and information program, continues throughout the season Mondays through Thursdays at 6:00 PM ET. NASCAR CAMPING WORLD TRUCK SERIES PRODUCTION: Saturday’s NASCAR CAMPING WORLD TRUCK SERIES race from Gateway marks the third of eight Truck Series races airing on FOX Sports this year that is remotely produced from the NASCAR Plaza or FOX Sports studios in Charlotte. For remotely produced events, FOX Sports’ booth announcers work from the Charlotte studio, while pit reporters are on-location at the track. “THE BYRNSIE AWARD” TO BE PRESENTED DURING NASCAR RACEDAY FROM SONOMA: During Sunday’s NASCAR RACEDAY pre-race coverage, FOX NASCAR will announce the recipient of the fourth-annual “The Byrnsie Award.” In honor of late FOX NASCAR broadcaster Steve Byrnes, nicknamed “Byrnsie,” the award was established in 2015 to honor an individual in the MONSTER ENERGY NASCAR CUP SERIES who embodies principles Byrnes demonstrated daily in his personal and professional life -- preparation, teamwork and family within the garage area. The winner was selected by the FOX NASCAR broadcast team, of which Byrnes was a member since the network’s first race broadcast in February 2001. Byrnes passed away in April 2015 following a courageous battle with cancer. His son, Bryson Byrnes, will introduce the award on-camera from the NASCAR RACE HUB studios in Charlotte, N.C. LIKE FATHER, LIKE SON FOR ARCA RACING SERIES RACE TELECAST AT GATEWAY: It’s all in the family for the FOX Sports broadcast team covering this weekend’s ARCA RACING SERIES race at Gateway Motorsports Park. FOX NASCAR play-by-play announcer Vince Welch will call the ARCA action on FS2, while his son, Dillon Welch, covers pit road. Although Dillon has begun to forge his own broadcasting path with appearances on FOX Sports and MRN, among other outlets, Gateway marks the first time the father/son duo has been on the same broadcast team for a race. Dillon, 24, also served as a FOX Sports pit reporter for the series’ season opener at Daytona in February. You can’t overdrive the car or be overly aggressive.” --Jeff Gordon On the toughest part of the course at Sonoma: “Turn 7 is the toughest turn on the course. There are no brake markers and it’s easy to lock up the tires or wheel hop the corner.” --Jeff Gordon On the physical demands on a driver at Sonoma: “There’s no good place to rest, take a drink or breathe at Sonoma. Plus, it’s going to be very hot there this weekend. Although it’s a fairly short race, Sonoma is one of the most demanding races of the year for a driver.” --Jeff Gordon “You can never relax at Sonoma because the car is always doing something, more so than at Watkins Glen, which has nice straightaways. The driver is always fighting the car at Sonoma.” --Darrell Waltrip As FOX concludes its 2018 MONSTER ENERGY NASCAR CUP SERIES season this weekend at Sonoma, what has been the biggest surprise for you? “The biggest surprise has been Stewart-Haas Racing. I expected them to be improved over last year, but seven wins in the first half of the season? Wow. Even more impressive is the fact it could have been more.” --Vince Welch “The biggest surprise has been the lack of competitiveness of Hendrick Motorsports. Coming into the season, there was so much buzz about the new Camaro, and many thought they would be a major threat. That certainly has not been the case. It has been a bigger struggle for them than I could have imagined, especially for Jimmie Johnson.” --Jamie Little What has been the best moment of the season to-date? “The best moment was the No. 3 returning to Victory Lane at Daytona. The last lap drama, the contact, the pass, the celebration, the history -- all at the sport’s biggest race. It’s hard to top that emotion.” --Vince Welch “The best moment so far was the finish of the Daytona 500 and Austin Dillon getting the No. 3 back to Victory Lane there.” --Jamie Little FOX NASCAR AT SONOMA RACEWAY & GATEWAY MOTORSPORTS PARK PROGRAMMING SCHEDULE (All times live/Eastern unless otherwise indicated & subject to change) Friday, June 22 MONSTER ENERGY NASCAR CUP SERIES practice (2:30-4:00 PM) (FS1) MONSTER ENERGY NASCAR CUP SERIES final practice (5:30-7:00 PM) (FS1) NASCAR RACE HUB: WEEKEND EDITION (7:00-7:30 PM) (FS1) NASCAR CAMPING WORLD TRUCK SERIES final practice (Gateway) (7:30-8:30 PM) (FS2) ARCA RACING SERIES Racing (Gateway) (9:00-11:00 PM) (FS2) Saturday, June 23 MONSTER ENERGY NASCAR CUP SERIES qualifying (2:30-4:00 PM) (FS1) NASCAR CAMPING WORLD TRUCK SERIES qualifying (Gateway) (7:00-8:00 PM) (FS1) (delayed) NASCAR RACEDAY-NCWTS (Gateway) (8:00-8:30 PM) (FS1) NASCAR CAMPING WORLD TRUCK SERIES Racing (Gateway) (8:30-11:00 PM) (FS1) Sunday, June 24 NASCAR RACEDAY (1:30-3:00 PM) (FS1) MONSTER ENERGY NASCAR CUP SERIES Racing (3:00-6:30 PM) (FS1) About FOX NASCAR: FOX Sports, broadcasting its 18th consecutive MONSTER ENERGY NASCAR CUP SERIES season, is armed with seven championships’ worth of analysis and insight from Hall of Famer and three-time champ Darrell Waltrip alongside four-time champion and 2019 NASCAR Hall of Fame inductee Jeff Gordon, veteran play-by-play announcer Mike Joy and former crew chief Larry McReynolds with race analysis. CHAMPIONSHIP IS ANYONE’S TO WIN: Will Power scored his third win of the 2017 season at Pocono Raceway and has established himself as a contender for the Verizon IndyCar Series championship. The Australian is fifth in points and sits 42 points behind his teammate Josef Newgarden in the standings, but has finished strong over his career. Can he maintain the momentum as the series heads to Gateway Motorsports Park? Chris Jones/INDYCAR PHOTO WHAT TO WATCH FOR THIS WEEKEND: •MEET ME IN ST. LOUIS: The Verizon IndyCar Series returns to Gateway Motorsports Park for the first time in more than a decade for this weekend’s Bommarito Automotive Group 500 presented by Valvoline. Of the 21 drivers expected to compete, only Helio Castroneves, Scott Dixon and Tony Kanaan have raced Indy cars at Gateway in the past. Will experience pay off in the final oval race of the 2017 season? • HOMETOWN HELIO?: Helio Castroneves has fond memories of St. Louis as he raced for St. Louis-based Hogan Racing early in his career and scored a podium for the team at Gateway Motorsports Park in 1999. Castroneves, the last Indy car driver to win at Gateway in 2003, has never finished outside the top 10 at the 1.25-mile oval. Can he use a little bit of St. Louis “home-cooking” to secure his first championship? • FANTASY FOCUS: With so many drivers making their first appearance at Gateway Motorsports Park, it’s hard to overlook Helio Castroneves’ experience this weekend. But if you need a value pick, look at either AJ Foyt Racing’s Conor Daly or Ed Carpenter Racing’s JR Hildebrand.

HONDA INDY GRAND PRIX OF ALABAMA TO TAKE PLACE APRIL 5-7, 2019 INDYCAR ANNOUNCES 17-RACE SCHEDULE (Sept. 4, 2018) – INDYCAR released its 2019 schedule today featuring 17 events, a newly announced race and a new event finale. A focal point for INDYCAR has been maintaining date equity with racetracks. The 2019 IndyCar Series schedule accomplishes that with a pair of minor exceptions for good reason: • Barber Motorsports Park’s event shifts two weeks forward to Sunday, April 7. That early April date was the slot that the scenic permanent road course in Birmingham, Alabama, held on the schedule for the first four years of its nine-year run to date; • Iowa Speedway returns to a night race at the overwhelming request of fans on Saturday, July 20. It moves back on the calendar by two weeks. Next year’s IndyCar Series race will be the 13th on the bullring oval in Newton, Iowa. The complete 2019 IndyCar Series schedule is as follows: March 10: Streets of St. Petersburg, Florida March 24: Circuit of the Americas, Austin, Texas April 7: Barber Motorsports Park, Birmingham, Alabama April 14: Streets of Long Beach, California May 11: INDYCAR Grand Prix, Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course May 26: 103rd Indianapolis 500, Indianapolis Motor Speedway oval June 1: Streets of Detroit, Race 1, Detroit, Michigan June 2: Streets of Detroit, Race 2, Detroit, Michigan June 8: Texas Motor Speedway, Fort Worth, Texas* June 23: Road America, Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin July 14: Streets of Toronto, Canada July 20: Iowa Speedway, Newton, Iowa* July 28: Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, Lexington, Ohio Aug.

KEVIN HARVICK: Career Highlights 2020 Finished fifth in the NASCAR Cup Series points standings as a member of the 16-driver playoffs. Missed the Championship Four for just the second time since 2014 but scored nine victories, 20 top-fives and 27 top-10 finishes and led 1,531 laps. All were series-high. Scored victories on May 17 at Darlington (S.C) Raceway, June 7 at Atlanta Motor Speedway in Hampton, Georgia, June 27 at Pocono Raceway in Long Pong, Pennsylvania, July 5 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, August 8 and 9 at Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn, August 23 at Dover (Del.) International Speedway, September 6 at Darlington and September 19 at Bristol. Has set a new career-high with nine victories in one season. Clinched the Regular Season Championship on Aug. 23 at Dover. Won his 50th NASCAR Cup Series race during NASCAR’s return from the COVID-19 pandemic at Darlington. Is ninth on the all-time NASCAR Cup Series wins list with 58 victories and is 18 wins behind the late Dale Earnhardt who eighth with 76 checkered flags. Harvick leads the active driver list in victories. When he won both races during the Michigan doubleheader, he was the first to win races in two consecutive days since Richard Petty did so in 1971. Petty won the Albany-Saratoga 250 on July 14, 1971 at Albany-Saratoga Speedway in Malta, New York, and the next day won the Islip 250 at Islip (N.Y.) Speedway. Islip closed in 1984, but Albany-Saratoga is still in operation.
