DEAR COLLEAguES! ___ he Open Cup of European Nations will be held in Moscow, and this city is the center of attraction for the whole United World Wrestling. The wrestlers International Olympic have become the pioneers in the reformation process of their kind of Committee member sport, and still we have a long path to follow. The women’s wrestling has become this year’s trend. This January with the participation of the IOC President Thomas Bach the corresponding development program was presented in the Olympic Museum in Lausanne, and the Women’s World Cup in St. Petersburg has become one of the brightest events of the program. The rules were changed slightly taking into account the opinion of the professionals. The refereeing structure has been re- formed as well, in December we will sum up its work within the frames of the clinics, held in Sochi. Tribunal Arbitral du Sport Court of Arbitration for Sport Arbitration CAS ad hoc Division (OG Rio) 16/025 World Anti Doping Agency (WADA) v. Narsingh Yadav & National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA), award of 21 August 2016 (operative part of 18 August 2016) Panel: Mr Mark Hovell (United Kingdom), President; Mr Jinwon Park (South Korea); Mrs Andrea Carska-Sheppard (Czech Republic) Wrestling Doping (methandienone) Time when the dispute arises Dispute “in connection with” the Olympic Games Type and weighing of evidence 1. When WADA is challenging with the ad hoc Division the decision of a national anti- doping organisation’s anti-doping body to exonerate an athlete from the charges of violating the anti-doping rules of the national anti-doping organisation, it is the day of that decision that triggers the time when the dispute arises. It is not the date of the out- of-competition testing that led to the decision or of the decision to provisionally suspend the athlete. 2. The decision to exonerate an athlete from the charges of violating the anti-doping rules of the national anti-doping organisation and to allow him or her to participate in the Olympic Games is clearly “in connection with” the Olympic Games. 3. A CAS panel can accept both circumstantial evidence and witness evidence and, indeed, other evidence, but it is for the panel to determine what weight to attach to all the evidence before it and the panel can only be guided by the evidence proffered by each party in support of its case. 1. PARTIES 1.1 The Applicant is the World Anti-Doping Agency (“WADA”), based in Montreal, Canada, the organisation responsible for anti-doping in the world.

TURKISH AND US PRESIDENTS MET IN OSAKA On June 28-29, Japanese city of Osaka hosted the G20 Summit. Along with the G20 heads of state, representatives from Spain, Singapore, Thailand, Egypt, Senegal, Chile, Vietnam and the Netherlands were also invited to the meeting in Osaka. The main outcomes of the G20 summit were meetings of leaders of Russia, the United States and China, discussion of issues on the START-3 Treaty and trade wars. Despite the lack of breakthrough solutions, forum participants confirmed their desire to continue improving the global trading system, including the WTO reform. In addition, the summit participants have concluded that it is necessary to resist the dissemination of information about terrorism through the Internet. According to a number of commentators, the G20 agenda itself has faded into the background - basically all attention has been focused on meetings of the leaders. In particular, the meeting of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and US President Donald Trump attracted much attention. Two leaders managed to reach agreement on a number of important issues of bilateral cooperation and regional policy. Following the meeting, R.T. Erdogan announced that D. Trump’s visit to Turkey was scheduled for July. PRESIDENT OF TURKMENISTAN VISITED TATARSTAN On June 23, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov paid a working visit to the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan, Kazan. During his meeting with the head of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, promising areas of cooperation were discussed, and then a number of documents on cooperation and mutual understanding in the automotive, petrochemical and education sectors were signed in their presence.

Tkach came from behind in the semifinals to secure a fall over the reigning world champ and then edged XU Rui (CHN), 3-0, in the final to ensure her return to the top of the rankings at 63kg for the first time in a year. Tkach first rose to the top of the rankings with the women’s middleweight world title in 2014, but stumbled to No.2 after a loss to Valerie LAZINKSAYA (RUS) at last year’s European Games. Meanwhile, world and Olympic Games champion Kaori ICHO (JPN), stunned with a loss at the Yarygin Grand Prix in January, was the only other top-ranked wrestler in action in June, stopping a pair of would-be challengers from Azerbaijan to win the Poland Open at 58kg. Another pair of wrestlers battling for their country’s ticket for Rio 2016 at 58kg took their battle to 60kg and a five-wrestler round-robin at the Poland Open. PUREVDORJ Orkhon (MGL), who won the Rio berth for Mongolia at the Asian qualifier in March, emerged the victor over 2015 world team member BAATARJAV Shoovdor (MGL) – each with three wins and a loss.
