Dezember 2018 macht die FIS Cross Alps Tour ein drittes Mal Halt in Arosa und es wird erneut ein Nacht-Sprint ausgetragen. Beim Audi FIS Ski Cross World Cup rasen die weltbesten Skicrosser den Hügel hinunter und überwinden so manches Hindernis mit waghalsigen Sprüngen. Erleben Sie dieses Highlight auf der Kulmwiese direkt am Dorfrand aus nächster Nähe – ein grossartiges Spektakel bei Scheinwerfer- und Mondlicht! Die eindrückliche Sportart Ski Cross sprüht nur so vor Energie und Adrenalin: In den jeweils mit vier Fahrern besetzten Läufen jagen die Athletinnen und Athleten einen Kurs mit weiten Sprüngen und steilen Kurven hinunter, ohne jegliche Scheu vor Körperkontakt. Den Auftakt zur Weltcup-Saison macht im Dezember die Cross Alps Tour mit vier Stopps in den Alpenländern. Zum Auftakt gastiert die Tour wiederum mit zwei Rennen im französischen Val Thorens. Anschliessend kommt der Ski Cross-Tross nach Arosa, wo der dritte Nacht-Sprint auf dem Programm steht. Von der Schweiz geht es weiter nach Österreich, nach Silvretta Montafon, bevor zum Abschluss der Tournée zwei Rennen in Innichen (ITA) stattfinden. Ein Ski Cross Spitzenfeld inmitten des Arosa Humorfestivals Bereits am 09. Dezember werden die über 100 Athleten mit nochmals so vielen Betreuern und Serviceleuten in Arosa erwartet. Tags darauf finden auf der Kulmwiese (Gruoba) in Innerarosa die ersten Trainings und Qualifikationsläufe statt. Die besten der Qualifikation dürfen sich in der Public Heat Selection vom Dienstag, 11. Dezember direkt vor den Finalläufen ab 18.00 Uhr ihre Gegner für den ersten Lauf selber aussuchen. Diese Finesse verleiht den spektakulären Rennen eine zusätzliche, taktische Note. Um 21.15 Uhr werden die frisch gekürten Sieger dann auf die Podeste steigen und sich gebührend feiern lassen. Das Starterfeld in Arosa wird auch in diesem Jahr mit Top Cracks gespickt sein. So ist beispielsweise das komplette Männer-Podest um Olympiasieger Brady Leman aus Kanada, dem Schweizer Olympia- Zweiten Marc Bischofberger und Sergey Ridzik aus Russland am Start. Bei den Frauen zählen unter anderem die Olympia-Zweite Brittany Phelan sowie die Drittplatzierte Fanny Smith zu den Anwärtern auf den Sieg. Für die Schweiz werden in Arosa unter anderem Sanna Lüdi, Lokal-Matador Alex Fiva und der Sieger aus dem Jahre 2016, Romain Détraz aus der Westschweiz, antreten. In den beiden Vorjahren war das Wetter dem Event jeweils nicht sehr gut gestimmt. Nach einem Jahr mit zu wenig Schnee als auch einem mit zu dichtem Schneefall hoffen die Organisatoren nun auf die goldene Mitte. Aus der Wertung der Qualifikationsrunden erreichte letztes Jahr der Freestyle-Skier Marc Bischofberger als bester Schweizer den vierten Rang. Auch dieses Jahr wird zeitgleich zum Ski Cross Spektakel das Arosa Humorfestival bei der Tschuggenhütte stattfinden; das ideale Rahmenprogramm, um sich vor der adrenalingeladenen Action neben der Rennstrecke etwas aufzulockern. The FIS Freestyle Ski World Cup competitions will comply with the rules and regulations for Freestyle Skiing as published by the International Ski Federation. 1.3 Controversial Matters For all controversial matters during a competition which cannot be resolved by the application of the present Rules, the Jury will call those members of the FIS SBFSFK Committee present at the competition together with the Race Director. They will make a temporary decision by a simple majority of votes. This decision must be approved by the FIS Freestyle Skiing Committee at its next meeting. If such a meeting is not possible, the matter must be referred directly to the FIS Freestyle Skiing Coordinating Group.

Hopefully, 2022 will be a year of less tumult and more stability. Our new listing, updated from our 1 May 2021 edition, shows 743 events for the remainder of calendar year 2021 and through September 2022, for sports on the Olympic and Olympic Winter Games program. Two calendars are offered: first, in chronological order (pp. 2-17) and second, by sport (pp. 18-34). The main areas addressed during the Meetings of the Council in Costa Navarino were the review of the Congress Book of the 51st International Ski Congress, discussion of the proposals of the National Ski Associations and Technical Committees, as well as the nomination of the FIS Committees for the period 2018 - 2020. The following “short summary of decisions” is in principle limited to Council decisions not directly related to the Congress Agenda. 1. Members present a) The following Council Members were present at the Meetings in Costa Navarino 13th to 17th May 2018: President Gian Franco Kasper, Vice-Presidents Janez Kocijancic, Aki Murasato, Dexter Paine and Sverre Seeberg.
