Inside you will find many articles of interest. From an article on Just Married horns to one on oils, we can all learn something new. Torque is something that is a little extra for you the members and, as originally intended, it is a compilation of technical articles to help and assist you in keeping your car(s) on the road. We have all at one time or another looked at a particular task and thought ‘How will I ever do that?’ Some things are quite easy to take apart, but it is slightly different understanding how that part should work, or indeed how it all goes back together again. I wish I’d had the article on the Interceptor window frames to hand recently, particularly the bit that mentions looking at the spacers before you Our congratualtions go to the happy couple of Alex and Rachael take it apart... The Editor has been working on this magazine for a while and despite many repeated requests for articles with photos I know he has had to persuade, cajole and plead. If you are contemplating doing a task on your car, could I please ask that you write it down and take some photos. There’s details of a quite different rebuild of an Interceptor (“Restomod”), which gave me much food for thought. I know that – especially for Concours – keeping the car as original as possible is essential for some owners. But not so for others, who are happy to upgrade and modify their cars so that they can still be used and driven in the same manner as a modern car. As time passes by, it would appear that more cars are being rebuilt now with sensible upgrades rather than keeping them strictly original. In the same manner, it would appear that a growing proportion of Jensens do like to be driven – JOC members at the start of the “Rest members are more interested in driving their cars than showing them and be thankful” hill climb in 2015 - which I personally think is excellent news.
