This is another fabulous chair that has been in our personal stash for quite a few years! This awesome chair is done in the style of the famed LC2 Grand Comfort Chair by Le Corbusier, but it was designed and produced by the Jack Cartwright Company. Corbusier, along with Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand, designed his Bauhaus chair in the 1920s but this one came much later around 1960s-1970s. There is one major difference in the two chairs…the middle chrome bar of the Jack Cartwright chair is in the middle between the upper and lower bars and the LC2’s is closer to the lower bar not in the middle. Another difference is the size. The 20/123 is significantly wider (and truth be known…more comfortable!). This chair is done in a black vinyl faux leather and is simply stunning. Although technically Bauhaus in style it is called by and goes with many other design ethics…Art Deco…Mid-Century Modern…Modern…and even Industrial and Modern Country. It is definitely a design classic and still produced today!

Jack Cartwright, a graduate of the Kendall School of design, had the desire to design contemporary seating. In May 1963, along with just one other employee…a production specialist, he started his namesake company Jack Cartwright. They had a clear vision to provide the market with modern style upholstered furniture produced with exceptionally high quality but priced within the reach of the masses. The Jack Cartwright company is still in operation today. Mr. Cartwright also lent his designs skill to Founders Furniture during the mid-20th century designing many beautiful furnishings for them.

This is one of those classic pieces that as beautiful to gaze upon as it is to use. Make it yours!!!

This Wolfform Co. mannequin is considered the Cadillac of dress forms in the fashion industry. A full-bodied female, aka “Judy”, manufactured in 1986 in a size 12, this garment fitting form is sought after for its high-quality construction and the Wolfform Company’s attention to detail. A dress form from Wolform gets its perfect shape from a sturdy papier-mache core made from molds. The cores are then padded with cotton and covered with a cream-colored Irish linen. It is placed on an adjustable metal rod and hangs from a curved steel pole attached to a cast iron base with casters for ease of movement. This model has a single removable leg. Now that is all information you need if you intend to use the dress form for its intended purpose as a fashion form for creating haute couture clothing. But if your intention is to use this marvelous piece as a wonderful sculptural work of art, then you will want to know that it has the most intriguing shape and natural age patina to the steel and cast iron and Irish linen. She will make an incredible conversation piece in any room just as she is, but I visualize her wearing an outstanding vintage piece of apparel, an antique kimono, or maybe just a luxurious long strand of pearls!

The Wolfform Company is located in Englewood, New Jersey and has been producing garment fitting forms since the early 1900s. They produce male and children’s forms as well as the female shape. Their process and best available materials have stayed relatively the same in over 100 years. But their female form has had to undergo many evolutions in shape and size as each new “look” became a fashion trend. Suppliers of primarily fashion designers, manufacturers, and fashion schools throughout the world their forms are sought after as the premier fashion form. In my research I discovered they briefly closed their doors early in the 21st century, but through high demand of their quality product are back in full swing.

My imagination has gone crazy with the wonderful displays and vignettes that could be obtained using this unique “Judy”, as the female mannequin is sometimes called. You need to make her yours and let your imagination soar!

Price: $1,995 Did you ever play jacks when you were a kid!? Am I showing my age? Well I did and loved it. Although we are calling this a jax table it really isn’t exactly shaped like a jax, but I don’t know what else to call it. Actually, it is maybe more like the way you hold pick-up-sticks! Whew! Now I really am showing my age or the fact we have been trying to entertain ourselves while we are all social distancing! Anyway, the four slender brass plated tubes are cinched together in the middle with a brass plated tubular circle like when you hold the pick-up-sticks together. When you give them a little twist and let them go, they form the four legs and the four arms that hold the top. So simple and yet so amazing! This table can serve several purposes: a center table in an entry or living room; an end table; a tea table or lamp table; or even a small breakfast or game table. Its style is very versatile as well. It will be perfectly at home in a mid-century modern space, with Hollywood regency or modern décor, and even some traditional spaces. You need to make this fabulous accent table your own. Quick! Do it now.

Price: $1,195 I don’t believe I have ever seen such a beautiful color blue! And I adore the matte Van Briggle Pottery glazes. So, here is a set of seven Van Briggle tumblers circa 1990s. Or, if you don’t want to use them as tumblers…make them vases! You know how sometimes you just like the feel of something in your hands? These are that.

Although they are a set of seven, they bear the initials of five different etchers at Van Briggle. Two sets of initials with two tumblers each are unknown etchers, but their initials, in case you may know, are JD and TE (with the E looking like a backward 3). The three remaining tumblers have three different sets of initials. The first one is HVM and belongs to Hilde Manuszak who was at Van Briggle from 1988-2002. The second one is LS and belongs to Loretta Short who was at Van Briggle from 1987-1997. And, the third one is CLC belonging to Cristina Crispi who was at Van Briggle for only one year in 1994. In addition to the etchers initials these seven pieces all have the scratched in XI mark of the “Glaze Sprayer”. This mark could be attributed to two different sprayers, Garoid (Gary) Dhondt who was with Van Briggle from 1995-closing or Annette Moody who was there from 1994 to 1997. Whew! That is a lot of information I know. But it is important if you are a collector. If you aren’t and you just like these because they’re handsome…I don’t blame you. So do I!

Van Briggle Pottery was founded in Colorado Springs, Colorado circa 1901 (some say 1899) by Artus and Anne Van Briggle. Artus was an accomplished painter and had studied abroad while working for Rookwood Pottery. It was there he garnered an appreciation for the styles and the Oriental matt glazes which he incorporated into his style and techniques established for Van Briggle Pottery. Thus, making them a fundamental force in American Art Pottery and the Arts and Craft movement. In1904, after only three years at the helm of Van Briggle, Artus died from tuberculosis at the young age of 35. But the designs and glazes he produced in those three years carried the pottery into the 21st century. After his death Anne continued their work until 1912. For many, many years Van Briggle Pottery was a mainstay for tourists visiting Colorado Springs. They toured the workshop and bought souvenir treasures which spread Van Briggle pieces throughout the world. Van Briggle finally closed their doors for good in 2012, 111 years after opening.

Price: $495 I adore stripes….and black! Boy does this sofa fit that bill. This is the perfect sofa to anchor any room in need of a sofa. Its bold black and taupe stripes and stately stature ensure that it will be the topic of conversation. Plus, it is extremely comfy and its neutral, yet striking color combo allows for many accent color options. Made by Bernhardt Interiors and officially called a tuxedo style sofa with sloped arms and tight back. It sports nail head detail trim down both sides of its sloped arms to the top of its black trestle base with a single row across the face of the deck. The striped fabric alternates between a black velvet two-inch stripe and a taupe grosgrain-style flat weave three-inch stripe. The throw pillows are feather and the dual seat cushions are feather wrapped foam. It has obviously seen little to no use in its ten years of life and is ready and waiting for a new home. Make it yours!

Price: $3,995 This set of four chairs is nothing short of stunning! We are completely enthralled with them here at the shop. These chrome and brown faux leather, vinyl, upholstered chairs are made in Canada in the style of Italian designer Gastone Rinaldi. Their curvaceous reverse cantilevered chrome design is not only lovely to view but is extremely comfortable. Its back hits just in the right spot to support my back. And the slight give of the cantilever is pleasing. Their design is totally intriguing. They are comprised of two continuous pieces of chrome tube. One piece forms the back leg and curves and bends around and up and together to create the arms and back. The second piece forms the reverse cantilevered front leg and seat. The two pieces of chrome tube are connected by screws at the bottom of the arms and seat and where the front and back leg touch. Then the upholstered seat back and arms are screwed in place. Their style lets them fit right in with Bauhaus, mid-century modern, modern, industrial, retro, and modern country alike. Plus, they serve the purpose of dining chairs or accent chairs making them very versatile. Just make the set yours!

Price: $3,595 Wow! I wanted these. I wanted these black lacquer Post Modern dining chairs so badly in the 1970s! Now I have a set of six to offer to you. These are made by Pietro Costantini one of the premier furniture makers in Italy. And, although not tagged as such, were most likely imported and sold by Ello Furniture. They are comprised of a black lacquered frame with a tripod base with two front legs and the back single leg which is also the back of the chair. This chair back and leg is made up of 12 slats connect by a broad band at their top, a broader one at the seat placement and a narrower one at the bottom. So simple and yet so stunning.

Costantini Pietro began almost 100 years ago in 1922. A great family passion for wood resulted in the beginning of a dream with a small workshop which grew by the beginning of the 1950s into an industry with a wide range of seating and tables destined for distributors and international importers. Their success was built on their belief in Italian quality being about accuracy and details, experience and excellence, skilled craftsmen and control. By the 1980s the brand Costantini Pietro was entrenched and considered synonymous with luxury lifestyle, sophisticated modernity, and furniture to stand the test of time by interpreting the elegant and evolved taste of an international audience. They are still in operation today.

Ello Furniture was founded in Chicago by Lothar Molton in 1956, a few years after fleeing Nazi Germany with his family. In 1968 he moved the company to Rockford, Illinois and in 2010 it closed its doors. Ello’s motto wasContemporary Furniture of Distinction combined with Function plus Spectacular Glamour.

Ello’s motto and Costantini Pietro’s belief perfectly describes these wonderful chairs! You must make them yours.

Wow! This is a gorgeous modern dining table. We had to have it to offer to you. It was produced by Pietro Costantini in Italy and retains its impressed label denoting such. We believe it was most likely imported and sold by Ello Furniture, but it does not have the Ello tag. Its base is comprised of cherry parallel upside-down U-shape square legs running the length of the table and intersecting black lacquered parallel upside-down U-shape square legs running the width of the table. It is topped by a large glass rectangle. Simply stunning! It will be gorgeous no matter your home’s design.

Double your pleasure with this fabulous asymmetric double arched etagere. It is comprised of nice heavy rectangular tube metal with a brass plating over chrome. It has a double arched top with a full width glass shelf at the bottom of the arch. The bottom shelf is full width as well and of smoked glass to limit the view of the floor. The two shelves in between are staggered with one justified left and one justified right. This staggering provides two spaces for very tall vases or pieces of sculpture to be displayed. It is an incredible display unit that has so many possibilities of use. Since it is finished all around it would be an ideal room divider too. Officially modern in style it is close on the tails of the mid-century modern era and will blend well there too. It would also be stunning mixed in with your Hollywood Regency pieces and in juxtaposition with a traditional look. We’ve fallen in love with it here at the shop. We know you have too. Make it yours!

This is an incredible rattan wicker chaise made by Bielecky Brothers, Inc. of New York. Bielecky Brothers is considered one of the top makers of high-quality wicker, rattan, and cane furnishings. This chaise is comprised of a rattan wicker frame. Wicker is a process not a material and at Bielecky all wicker is woven of reed. The reed is thin poles of rattan extracted from a solid section of vine and since this reed is entirely made from the core of the plant, it is porous, absorbing stain readily and evenly. This chaise has been professionally recovered in a simple but beautiful off-white canvas.

Bielecky Brothers, Inc. has been a top provider of high-end rattan, cane and wicker furniture in American since 1903. Founded when Andrew and Conrad Bielecky emigrated from Poland to New York and set up a small shop weaving wicker chairs. Even when, around 1930s-1940s, wicker fell out of style for home interiors Bielecky survived because of their high quality in production and finishing. Every Bielecky Brothers’ piece is custom-made and handcrafted and to this day are produced in the same way they were when the firm was first established. They have provided their products to Presidents, John F. Kennedy; Vice Presidents, Kick Cheney; musicians, Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Bette Midler, Liza Minelli, Luciano Pavarotti, and Clive Davis; stars, Mary Tyler Moore, and Candace Bergen; and famous Americans, The Rockefellers, and Michael Bloomberg. They are a fourth-generation family-owned and operated business still thriving today.

This chaise is obviously meticulously handcrafted and finished to the exceptional standards for which Bielecky is famous. You must make it yours!

Price: $3,995 This incredible set of end tables seems to defy logic and their simple beauty merely adds to the intrigue. Attributed to the genius of Leon Rosen for The Pace Collection they are comprised of a squircle of brass plated rectangular tube that sets directly on the floor with two brass plated round tubes coming straight up from the center of opposing ends with a hole in the middle. The glass tops set on the top of these tubes. Then, a brass plated disc with a threaded rod attached sticks through the glass and screws into the hole securing the tops. There is rubber gasket on each side of the tops. The glass is also in the same squircle (it is a word and a shape – look it up!) shape of the base with a small ogee edge. These tables would be the perfect foil to an ornate over-the-top Hollywood Regency sofa. Or blend in just right with a pair of mid-century modern club chairs.

The Pace Collection was founded by Irving and Leon Rosen in New York City as a high-end contemporary furniture company which was in business from 1960 to 2001. They offered their fine furniture and services to the contract interior design trade. Their designs were purposefully and distinctly different from Knoll, Herman Miller, Steelcase and other renowned contract furniture companies. Their line of furniture was known for their rich and exotic wood veneers, high-gloss finishes, and shiny metals. Most pieces were made in limited editions or specifically for their elite customers.

What a find! These incredible wire wall sculptures were custom made for a contract furniture design center depicting the evolution of the office chair. I am sooooo in love!! I’m such a chair hoarder. I can’t believe I’m letting them go but I do not have a space to display them. We are offering them as a four- piece set which is comprised of: a Thonet bentwood chair; what looks to me to be a Gunlocke rolling desk chair; an unknown task chair; and an Aeron Herman Miller chair. They are made from wire, which is bent, with a few welds as well, into one continuous piece to create the silhouette of each individual chair. How fabulous they will be hanging in your great room, family room, living room, or even your dining room. Whether you have a mid-century modern home, an industrial loft, or a mountain retreat…you need to make this fantastic set yours!

Price: $1,495

What an awesome modern style floor lamp (or is it a torchier?) that works with so many design styles! It will look fabulous in an ultra-modern setting and equally as great in a mid-century modern setting. Plus, it would be incredible in your Bauhaus designed abode or an industrial loft! It is comprised of three, two piece each, chrome shafts. The two on the outside being smaller in diameter than the center shaft which carries the wiring. The triple shafts connect the circular black base to the circular shade and light source. The shade is made of a chrome perforated metal ring topped by a frosted glass disc. Simply wonderful! We feel it is done in the style of Robert Sonneman for George Kovacs but have not been able to determine maker. We know you are in love. Just make it yours.

Price: $1,195 Curves, undulations, and versatility…oh my! That is what this modular sectional sofa is all about! We couldn’t pass up these fabulous modular sofas, or shall I say seating sections, and couldn’t wait to offer them to you. They are done in the style of the Don Chadwick designed sofa for Herman Miller, but these are made by August Inc. The Seating Specialist and from their Laurel Series. We are offering them to you all for one price. There are 11 wedge sections and 13 straight sections with one of those having an arm, for a total of 24 sections. Most of the pieces need new upholstery so…they are priced assuming you will recover. There is a myriad of ways to configure the sections and we have tried to show you several in our photos. We have also done a mock-up of how a sofa will look when done all one color. I can envision a set of these scattered about a loft apartment or in a great room and then pulled together when needed. Or two slightly curved sofas facing each other in front of a fireplace. Or…or…or!! Sky’s the limit. Make this modular sectional sofa yours!!!

Price: $9,995 Looking for a modern bench or settee for an entry hall or maybe a banquette? Look no further! This one is fabulous! Comprised of two upside down u-shaped arm/leg combinations with two individual bentwood oak suspended seats that have also been upholstered. There is a chromed steel tube connecting the pair of arms/legs. The bolts which attach the chrome tube to the oak frame is capped establishing an interesting decorative detail. This would be perfect in a contemporary setting or an industrial one. Or in a modern country to mid-century modern home.

Thonet was founded by Michael Thonet. Michael was born in 1796 and was apprenticed by his father to a cabinetmaker. Shortly after he married, Michael opened his one-man cabinetmaking shop creating furniture and cabinetry in the traditional manner by carving the needed parts and then joining them together. In 1830 he began experimenting with bending wood into curved shapes and thus began a successful furniture company that has remained continually in operation for nearly 200 years. Thonet’s early work was very Biedermeier in style and not made for the common man. Gradually his designs became more Art Nouveau. In 1951 his chairs for the Crystal Palace at the London World’s Fair won a prize medal and by the late 1950s he began to make his first “consumer” chair. In 1875, a year before Michael’s death, Thonet’s five factories made 620,000 chairs. Then in 1876 after his death the company became Gebruder Thonet. But all was not roses. In 1869 the Thonet patents lapsed and by 1893 there were 52 bentwood companies in Europe. However, Thonet persevered. They branched out. They merged. They added designs by Le Corbusier and Breuer and alternative materials such as tubular chrome in place of bentwood to their offerings. Business boomed and waned through the years and there was even a Thonet revival, so to speak, beginning in the 1940s on into the mid-20th century. Till today, in the 21st century, Thonet is still a furniture company to be reckoned with almost 200 years later.

We know you have fallen in love with this incredible piece as we did. Make it yours!

When I saw this lovely pair of little side tables I knew I had to have them to offer to you. I know you have just the spot to place them. They are square and Parsons style with frames made of rectangular chrome tube which is nicely welded and polished. They have a white cane and glass insert for the top. I have seen these attributed to Milo Baughman, but I do not believe that to be true. However, they are somewhat in his style with the combination of the chrome and cane. No matter who designed or made this pair they are handsome and handy little end tables. Place them side by side as a small cocktail table or split them up. They are the perfect spot to set a drink while relaxing in your favorite chair or napping sofa! Make them yours!

Price: $1,995

Yeah Baby!!! This is a sofa that Austin Powers could love!! But seriously is it a fabulous modern sofa sleeper that will be incredible wherever you use it. This incredible marvel was produced in the 1980s by Spherical Furniture of Boone, NC. I have not been able to determine if they are still around (ha! pun intended). This sleeper sofa has no metal or wood components. It is polyurethane foam through and through and in seconds its crescent shape flips open and, along with its matching ottomans, converts into very comfy extra sleeping space. And if you think getting bedding to fit is a deterrent…never fear…another feature of this fantastic sofa sleeper is a device that they referred to as a “pocketing band” which allows you to use standard flat bed sheets for the round bed!

Frank Petersilie, a former art professor at Appalachian State University in Boone, NC, is the inventor of this innovative sofa bed. But he didn’t start out to invent or produce furniture. His brainstorm was the idea of a round igloo type of modular housing. Unfortunately, the recession of 1973 foiled the second- home buying market that he was targeting, and he discovered people were more interested in his round furniture than in his round houses. According to an article in The Christian Science Monitor, Petersilie, designer and chairman, and Bruce Shelton, president of the company they formed to produce this furniture, operated factories in Boon, NC and Gardena, CA, and specialty store accounts across the country and in Hawaii. The foam furniture was unusual in several ways besides its mod look. The number one way was their weight which was far less than conventional like furniture thereby creating easier and cheaper mobility. As stated above, I have been unable to locate the company still in existence.

We fell in love with this mod comfy piece and know you will too. Make it yours!!

Price: $2,295 Whether you hang this in your living room, family room, music room, or man cave; and whichever side you use, it will be a show stopping statement! This fabulous graphic image of Jimi Hendrix, one of rock music’s all-time favorite icons, has been purported to being part of a traveling exhibit celebrating the life and times of Jimi. After being told the history and particulars of this panel I did an online search to verify and corroborate. I did find an article in Rolling Stone magazine dated February 18, 1993 titled Hendrix Traveling Exhibit to Tour U.S. It talks about the exhibit being a multimedia art show that successfully traveled across Europe in 1992 and would be opening at New York’s Ambassador Gallery with follow-up engagements in San Francisco, Washington DC, Los Angeles, Cleveland, Chicago, Boston, and Seattle; with possible tours in Japan, New Zealand, and Eastern Europe. It talks about the exhibit being unexpected by not displaying smashed guitars or tattered relics but showcasing 100 works ranging from psychedelic posters and candid photos to collages, computer-enhanced pieces and an interactive sound sculpture. Whether it was part of this exhibit or not…it is a fabulous graphic. Please know we have priced it for its intrinsic decorative value since we cannot definitively document it being from the traveling exhibit. You still need to make it yours! Price: $1,295

This is an incredible modern/mid-century modern table with many uses! Its top is comprised of a thick natural solid maple butcher-block top that is glued up in long strips. This fabulous top is perched on a pair of steel tube legs with a cast steel angular foot. Both shaft and foot have been hand polished. The table is unmarked, and we are not sure if it is a manufactured piece or custom made. Whichever, it is wonderful. It would be perfect in a kitchen as a table or low island. Or, do dual duty as both. It would work wonderfully in a casual dining area. Or, it would be fantastic in a hobby space or as a game table in a family room. It will work equally as well with a mid-century modern, modern, industrial, or modern country design style. No matter where you decide to use it or what your decorating style….you must make it yours!!

Price: $1,995 OMG! I have wanted one of these for so long! Even an in-the- style-of! Which this one is but it is a very good example. So, for those of you who do not know, the original of this Bauhaus style piece of furniture is what has been dubbed the Le Corbusier LC4 Chaise Lounge. It was originally designed in 1928 by Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret, and Charlotte Perriand. The word lounge in English means long chair and this LC4 has been known to be called the relaxing machine. Its curvaceous lines genuinely take their form from the human body shape which undoubtedly follows the design edict form follows function. The long chair floats loosely on the black steel base and slides up and back in infinite lounging positions; from reclined for napping to upright for reading or conversation. This is without question a classic of modern design and one that is sought after by collectors worldwide. Plus, this design is included in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York. Make this relaxing machine yours!

Price: $2,295 Whoa! How awesome!! This tuxedo style five-piece sectional sofa is by one of the most currently sought-after designers, Milo Baughman, and was produced by high-end, high-quality maker Thayer Coggin. Its simple lines and style are extremely versatile as is its configuration possibilities. It is comprised of five pieces: one single armed three seat sofa; one single armed two seat sofa; two armless slipper style chairs; and a one seat corner section. It is covered in its original white linen- like fabric; however, you may want to recover. We have cleaned it professionally but…you know…white. This is the sofa you will never have to replace. Here is a little bit of info for you about the phenomenal furniture making duo of Milo Baughman and Thayer Coggin. Milo Baughman, a 20th Century genius of design, was born in Western Kansas in 1923 but was moved a year later by his family to Long Beach, California. He created Milo Baughman Design Inc. in 1947 and began designing interiors and furniture. Thayer Coggin was born in 1922 in Denton, North Carolina. Twelve years later his family moved 25 miles north to High Point where he grew up surrounded by furniture manufacturing. Thayer’s first love was furniture and Milo’s was design. So, together in 1953, after the two met, history was made in American furniture making by one of the greatest collaborations in the industry. During his career and before his death in 2003, Milo did design for several other companies as well as his own, but it is his collaboration with Thayer Coggin that is most impressive and sought-after today. Thayer Coggin, Inc. is still in business today even after its namesake’s death and is still offering classic selections from the late Baughman’s designs.

If you want an iconic sofa to last you a lifetime…you need to make this one yours!

We are in love with this classic modern sofa here at the shop. It is considered a tuxedo style having its arm height the same as its back and was designed by one of the most currently sought-after designers, Milo Baughman. In addition, it was produced by high-end, high-quality furniture maker Thayer Coggin, Inc. Its low-slung silhouette makes it seem longer than its three cushions are; so, that, along with its simple lines, make it the perfect sofa for your mid-century modern esthetic. It is wearing its original white linen-like fabric which we have had professionally cleaned; however, it will need recovered because…you know…white! It also looks to me to be a great napping couch!

Price: $2,995 These chairs are gorgeous!!!! I’ve always loved this Parsons style club armchair. It is handsome and so comfortable. The famed and sought-after designer, Milo Baughman, did design a chair like this one but since this chair has no tags, we cannot determine for sure that this one is his….but its darn close! While on the subject, the original Parsons style chair came from the Parsons School of Design and was an armless slipper style chair used mostly for dining. But before that chair’s entrance into the design world the Parsons table was designed by Jean- Michel Frank while he was working at Parsons , then known as the Paris Atelier, in the 1930s. So, when talking about an original design… it is all relative. We will just say that these fabulous chairs pay homage to an historic design and…Boy! Are they ever beautiful…classic…comfy…and versatile! You should make them yours.

Price: $3,895 Once again, I get to offer something from my youth! This was the style floor lamp I yearned for when I was first married and started decorating. I’m so glad, but not surprised, this style has become a design classic. The lamp we are listing is not marked as to maker, but its stylish lines and high-quality construction are fabulous. Starting with the heavy iron base providing optimum counterbalance and continuing with the rectangular two-piece chrome tube arc shaped shaft and ending with its pendant hanging lamp with conical white glass shade that has awesome concentric ridges for perfect detail. It is not adjustable in height because it is just right as it is. Simple and stunning. You need to make it yours.

Price: $1,295 Sometimes you just need a simple little pair of accent chairs and these fill the bill! They are compact but comfortable with their floating seat and back perched between their solid upholstered sides. They would be perfect bedroom chairs which happens to be where we found them. Or in an office or den. Or how about paired with a small breakfast table, or a game table, in a sunroom? They are lighter weight and easy to move which makes them very handy and flexible when additional seating is needed. Oh, I know! They would be awesome in an entry too. You just need to make them yours.

Price: $1,195 Sometimes you just need a knockout small movable occasional table. One you can move from here to there easily. One where you can comfortably set a cocktail or coffee cup. Here it is. Its maker is unknown but who cares when it is as awesome as this little side table. It is comprised of rectangular steel tube which has been chromed with a piece of glass for the top. Nothing more. But boy is that chromed steel and glass put together handsomely. It is formed into an irregular hexagon for the top frame which holds the glass and an identical one for the base. These two pieces are connected by four upright supports that are welded to the base and top frame from the middle of the four shorter sides of the irregular hexagon. For such a small and simple piece, it makes a big statement. You must make it yours.

Price: $1,295 We fell in love with this fabulous modernist sculpture the minute we saw it. It is signed and dated by the artist Jack Black 1985. This beautiful Navajo Native American woman is portrayed relaxing and reclining with her long straight hair flowing over her shoulder and down her arm. The main body of the piece is glazed in gorgeous blue-green mottled glaze with the face, hands, and one foot left unglazed in the natural clay color, as is typical for the artist. Her hair is textured and glazed a light brown matte glaze. She is very striking and calls out for you to reach out and touch her.

Jack Black was a highly regarded sculpture artist and member of the Navajo tribe. He was born in Galveston, Texas but moved to Arizona opening a studio in Sedona in 1984. It was Black’s practice to sketch his ideas after observing and being inspired by the colors and peoples in the desert. He would then sculpt them in clay. Molds were made from that original and the figures cast in stoneware. Each piece was cleaned and detailed by hand making none identical. His figures are understated, timeless, beautiful, and wonderful to gaze upon. Jack Black passed in 2002.

No matter your design style you will love this ceramic sculpture. Make it yours!

Bold and beautiful! I flipped when I saw this table and knew I had to have it to offer to you. Although it can be found on the internet attributed to Karl Springer it is my opinion that it is not his gorgeous work but styled after his iconic pieces. It does have his bold and simple signature styling with its substantial brass plated tubular steel base which has an angular abstract profile. Somewhat Z-shaped. The glass has a beveled edge and rounded corners. Simply stunning! This console table has lots of presence without taking up much space with its overall smaller stature. It will look fantastic in an entry or dining room or behind a sofa. You just need to make it yours!

Price: $1,995 What could possibly be better than a beautiful in-the-manner-of Maison Jansen etagere!? Two!! Two!! A pair of gorgeous modern etagere done the style of the famed Maison Jansen. That’s what! We had a hard time knowing whether to offer these alone or as a pair and made the decision to offer them as a pair. Two is always better than one. Right? Each of these incredible units is comprised of four framed sections and five drop-in glass shelves. The bottom shelf is lifted slightly off the floor with its round tubular chromed legs. There is a brass cube inserted in the legs at the point of connection of each of the square tube section frames that surround the glass. In addition, there is a brass orb which tops the uppermost cube and a brass ring on the legs in the middle of each section. Exquisite detail. This pair would be perfect flanking a fireplace or side by side in a dining room or study. They would look fabulous mixed with your mid-century modern décor or be just as lovely placed in a traditional setting. They will hold your collection of glass objects or your collection of books. They are stunning and sure to please no matter your style or where you use them. Double your pleasure. Make the pair yours. 3000

It is a generous 8 feet wide by 11 feet long with a dazzling modernist abstract design. I have the original sales receipt from Centro Modern Furnishing who is the exclusive dealer in St. Louis for The Meinecke Collection, and they called it Frank Lloyd LIKE! Great description. Stunning beyond measure.

I have loved this table since the 1970s. Well not this exact one but all the different forms of this table attributed to The Pace Collection. Comprised of five slabs of ¾ inch thick glass. One for the tabletop and four that, along with a single brass plated steel connector, form the pedestal base. Simple. Sleek. Elegant. Perfect dining table to pair with some mid-century modern chairs. Or, use it in your industrial loft with some industrial or sleek and modern chairs. Maybe even use it in a traditional or Hollywood Regency setting in juxtaposition with a set of over-the-top ornate chairs.

Their line of furniture was known for their rich and exotic wood veneers, high-gloss finishes, shiny metals, and glass. Most pieces were made in limited editions or specifically for their elite customers.

This gorgeous table is perfect no matter your design style. You need to make it yours.

Simply stunning!! This brooch is such an awesome find. Signed on the reverse Sascha ’87 New York it is we thought it was Sascha Brastoff but have come to believe it is not. However, we have not found info on this Sascha. It is comprised of three non- concentric circles. The bottom circle is a three-inch diameter button shape covered in dyed silk in dark teal, turquoise, green, and purple. The next layer is a two and one-half inch diameter hammered and enameled piece of metal in the same colors but much lighter in hue, with pink specs as an additional color, and the lightest of the three layers. The last layer is a two- inch diameter button shape covered in dyed silk in the same colors, but a medium hue with more green than the others and a bit of red or deep pink, which is banded by a gold-tone chain. It has both a pin clasp and a scarf clip for fastening. When we discovered this treasure, we had no idea Sascha Brastoff made jewelry and was a costume designer but when we learned that, we were positive this piece was his. We, of course, knew of his wonderful bold and quirky ceramics and enameled metal pieces; but when we saw the colors of this brooch and obviously the signature, we just knew it had to be. Unfortunately, Sascha collectors have told us no. But it is still gorgeous!! And you should make this bold brooch yours!

Price: $495 These tables are fabulous! Modern yet somehow Hollywood Regency with a little Mid-Century Modern thrown in. Consisting of a frame which is comprised of a double tubular rectangular steel that has a brass plated finish and fans out slightly from bottom to top. It reminds me of tulip leaves. You know, the ones you drew when you were a little kid. The base is topped by a half- inch thick half-inch beveled edge rectangular glass top. This is a perfect pair of tables to hold a pair of lamps at the ends of your fabulous Hollywood Regency sofa. Or to place beside a pair of modern lounge chairs flanking your fireplace. Minimal but with lots of style and sass. We had to have them. Now, you need to make them yours!

Price: $1,195 Holy Toledo do we love this unique and spectacular coffee table! Although I think we shall call this one a cocktail table. It is made in the style of Maison Jansen for Ralph Pucci or maybe Italo Valenti and is comprised of a rectangular two-tiered Lucite base and four acrylic faux tusks which support the beveled edge glass top. The tusks are adorned with brass details and the corners of the glass top have a 4.5-inch angle cut. This fabulous cocktail table will be breathtakingly beautiful in your living room whether it be styled in a Hollywood Regency aesthetic or an African inspired design. This absolutely is one of the most stunning, ok I’ll say it, coffee tables we have ever had to offer. You must make it yours.

Price: $2,495 This outstanding black and white club chair by Metropolitan Furniture Company of San Francisco and made exclusively for Marshall Fields is nothing short of fantastic!! Unfortunately, we had a little transport accident and the small paper tag that purported its exclusivity to Marshall Fields was lost. Fortunately, we had photographed the tag prior to transporting it. You can see it in the photos. We know that during the timeframe for creation of this chair two significant designers, Jules Heumann and Brian Kane, were designing for Metro Furniture, but we have not been successful in determining if one of them created this magnificent example of California Modern design. But no matter who designed it….they did a marvelous job! Comprised of a blackened oak bulky cube shaped frame and comfy cushy seat, back and arms that are covered in an oatmeal colored, what we believe is wool, heavy weave fabric that is scattered throughout with specs of black “tweeding”. We adore this chair and know you will too. Make it yours!!!

Price: $2,995 Ok. We are in love with this gorgeous sofa! We feel it is done in the manner of designer Michael Taylor but there is no marking and we have not had success identifying the maker. No matter. Its construction is solid and of very high quality. We have had it newly covered in an awesome creamy white heavy cotton canvas. The shape of the wicker gives it a fabulous sleigh-bed day-bed look; that combined with its tight rounded back and upholstered flared arms give it a somewhat Hollywood Regency flavor. Plus, the single loose seat cushion makes it a perfect spot for a nap. Leave it sleek and simple or adorn it with pillows. It will be fabulous! No matter where you use it…in a living room, garden room, or lanai. Just make it yours.

Price: $3,995 We fell in love with this leather, wood, and rattan sofa immediately when we went to view it for purchase! It does not have its makers name anywhere and extensive online research has not garnered that for us. However, it was paired with a Pace coffee/cocktail table, which we purchased and have listed as well, so it wouldn’t surprise us if it turned out to be Pace too. But…..? It is comprised of a boxy case wood frame which we believe to be a dark stained maple. Similar in shape to one of Milo Baughman’s case sofas; but, this frame has square window- paned rattan panel inserts. One panel on each end and three on the back. It somewhat reminds us of Michael Taylor for Baker as well. The overall look is stunning! It is a sofa that cries out to be floated in a room with the back and ends fully visible. Its style is very versatile and will go with almost any interior design plan we can think of. Plus, it is sooooo comfortable! Its loose seat, back, and side cushions are covered in a soft supple creamy white leather. We know you have fallen in love as we did. Make it yours!

Price: $3,295 I had a hard time deciding whether to sell these fabulous…..what shall we call them?……plant stands?….together as a set of three or individually or as a pair and a single. I finally decided on selling them as a set of three…..but if you are interested in them some other way….just let me know. This all started when I found these brass circular stands hiding at a flea market and something told me I just had to have them. Then I couldn’t decide to sell them as is or, put glass or marble tops on them. But that didn’t seem quite right so…I waited. Then I saw these baskets…or whatever they are because they have a hole in the bottom, no, the top?…and a black wire frame inside. (someone told me they thought they were hanging light shades??) Anyway, then I knew instantly that they belonged in those brass ringed stands! So, I put them altogether and here is the result. I am in love!! You can fill the baskets with plants. You can fill the baskets with flowers. You can leave them empty. Or fill them with whatever your heart desires. You can even move the baskets around creating different heights and looks. But first you must make these incredible plant stands yours. Do it now.

Price: $1,795 This sleek coffee table is the one I yearned for when first married in the 1970s! It has become a design classic. Attributed to Leon Rosen for his New York based company The Pace Collection. It is comprised of a Parsons style square frame of rectangular chromed steel tube with four square marble inserts for its top surface. Each square of marble is separated from the others with a narrow strip of chromed steel. It is magnificent in its simplicity!

This simple yet outstanding icon of contemporary design needs to be yours. Price: $2,495

These are quite the pair of lounge chairs. Made by Thayer Coggin and attributed to Milo Baughman. Two of the most revered names in the home furnishing world. This pair retain their original orange, what I’ve always called hop sacking, fabric which is usable and has been cleaned. But how fantastic would these be in a gorgeous mohair, velvet, or leather? They are a Lawson style chair with their square shape and arms stepped down from the back height and extending to the front of the chair. Each with a loose back and seat cushion. There are no legs as the chair sets on a walnut plinth base. Iconic style by iconic maker and designer. You must make them your own.

Price: $2,995 Olé! Toro! Don’t you just love this wonderful pair of Brutalist torch cut bull and matador? They are two separate pieces you can display in many variations. The bull with head down in a charging position and the bullfighter flourishing his cape and dressed in the typical toreador’s costume. Comprised of a magnetic metal that has a copper and brass wash applied. Both retain their original Made in Hong Kong sticker which dates them to most likely the 1960s-1970s, as does their style. They will be handsome displayed on a shelf, table, or in a bookcase. Just make them yours.

Price: $395 Whoa! Now that’s Italian! This is one excitingly beautiful and unusual chair. Comprised of around hoop bucket seat that is covered in fur like animal print fabric that is supported by chrome tapered and splayed legs. It is marked made in Italy. This chair will be a showstopper wherever you plan to use it whether it is blended in with a contemporary setting or a counterpoint to an industrial or traditional one. You must make it yours!

Price: $995 Holy cow we love these outdoor patio chairs by McGuire! They were designed in 2000 by Michael Vanderbyl for his Archetype collection and came to us with the original tag still hanging on them. Comprised of a powder- coated aluminum svelte square shaped frame with tapered legs and a teak grid insert in the back and seat. A removable seat cushion is supplied for comfort.

Michael Vanderbyl was born in Oakland, California in 1947. McGuire Furniture, whose name is synonymous with style and elegance, was founded in 1948 in San Francisco by husband and wife team John and Elinor McGuire. The history of McGuire is best told by a quote from Town and Country magazine which said…”The story of John and Elinor McGuire and the success of McGuire is a singularly American saga. It tells of how a young couple’s imagination, determination, hard work and mutual dedication to values of taste and quality transformed a small firm into a large international business…” McGuire uses the best of materials and designers to create their masterpieces of functional, beautiful, and long lasting furniture for inside and outside the homes and businesses worldwide.

These are such incredible chairs I’d be totally tempted to use them in my living room not just my patio. You should make them yours!

OK I never thought I would say IKEA and original awesome design in the same sentence but here you have it! This incredible table task lamp was designed in 2001 exclusively for IKEA by Harry Allen Designs. He and it won accolades worldwide for its fabulous design. Harry’s inspiration for this rolling task light was his life-long interest in roller skating. Its tripod base is supported by rubber wheels which allow it to move in circles. Designer, Harry Allen, is quoted as saying “Kila spins on its axis as if it had been practicing that move in the roller rink for decades.” This bright red lamp is so reminiscent of 1960s cutting edge design yet feels futuristic at the same time. And although it originally sold for IKEAs super low pricing has now, as with the great designs through the ages, become collectable and sought after.

Harry Allen is an award-winning designer born1964 in New Jersey. He obtained his undergraduate degree from Alfred University and his master’s in industrial design from Pratt Institute in NYC. He founded Harry Allen Design NYC in 1993. That same year he produced a line of furniture called Living Systems and since has designed internationally with a wide variety of clients and products. He has work in the permanent collection of MoMA, the Brooklyn Museum of Art, the Denver Museum of Art, and the Philadelphia Museum of Art as well as earning many design awards.

We found this lamp sitting atop a George Nelson Action Office desk. Who would have ever thought……Herman Miller and IKEA together! You need to make this recent icon of good design yours!

Price: $495 This awesome bench is ready to be put to use immediately. We have completely restored the creamy off-white painted legs and stretchers and recovered it in a dynamic new fabric with an off- white background and charcoal (maybe black), taupe (or is that gray), and a golden-toned cream. This bench is the perfect length to place at the foot of a king-sized bed. Or it would be outstanding in an entry hall. I can also visualize it in place of chairs on one side of a trestle dining table. Or placed in front of a fireplace for extra living room seating. As well as being extremely versatile it is very transitional in style blending and accenting many different design edicts from Hollywood Regency to Contemporary to Traditional. We have fallen in love with this incredible bench. You will too. Make it yours!

This gorgeous vase looks beautiful whether it is filled with flowers or empty. Its clear crystal conical shape impressed with geometric designs wears an applied topaz rim and is setting on a topaz circular foot. The totality is stunning. It was designed in the 1990s by contemporary glass artist Hank Adams for the famed Blenko Glassworks. Although modern in design it will blend with any décor. I can just imagine it on your mantle, a bookshelf, or hall table.

Hank Adams, a student of Dale Chihuly and award-winning artist, has been for over 35 years not only an artist, but a designer, educator, and community advocate. He obtained his BFA in painting in 1978 from Rhode Island School of Design and continued his art education at Pilchuck Glass School in Washington, Tennessee Technological University, and Penland School of Crafts in North Carolina. From 1988 through 1994 he served as head designer for Blenko while he continued his work as an independent artist showing in Vienna, Austria; Troy, New York; Seattle; San Francisco; New York City; Corning; and Sapporo, Japan. Hank also worked on Fellowship at the Creative Glass Center of America in 2001. He is currently acting as creative director at the Wheaton Arts and Cultural Center Studio in Millville, New Jersey while maintaining his own studio in upstate New York.

Blenko’s roots go back to 1893 with the current company having been founded in West Virginia in 1922. Originated by William H. Blenko and continued by third and fourth generation of Blenkos, William H. Jr. and Richard D., their glass objects are a combination of the designer’s imagination and the skilled hands of the craftsmen. Their pieces are all hand made in small batches always unique and inspiring and never machine-made. The factory attracts visitors worldwide who can view the Blenko craftsmen practice their skilled art. There is also a museum at their lakeside visitors center. Blenko’s heyday of the mid- century modern period has spawned many highly collectible pieces and their stained-glass windows are iconic. It seems their modern works are destined to follow in those footsteps.

You need this beautiful example of Hank Adam’s designs and Blenko glass. Make it yours. Price: $495
