Castlevania: Rondo of Blood is an action adventure game for the Turbografx-CD. Translation Description: Hello and welcome to the Castlevania: Rondo of Blood English Translation Patch (PSP to TurboGrafx-CD). After many years of leaving this project abandoned I can happily say that this patch has reached it’s much needed 100% status! However the credits have not made it into this release of the patch (if ever) so in order to compensate for this inconvenience we have included the translation for the credits in the readme. To make clear, this patch will translate the TurboGrafx-CD version of Castlevania: Rondo of Blood into English. Everything will be translated; even the voiced dialogue will be replaced with the official Konami English dub from Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles (PSP). However miscellaneous grunts will retain their original Japanese. It also replaces the old German narrator with the new narration that was in the PSP and VC release of the game. If you, for whatever reason, do not like this you can easily swap back the original narration (Track03) after it is done patching. 2019 Note* The patch still has untranslated bits. The voice clips during the Death and Dracula fights are still in Japanese. The credits are also untranslated, but that part has already been mentioned by the author. The PC Engine version goes for well over $200 so this reproduction is a fraction of the cost. Castlevania: Rondo of Blood is coming to the TurboDuo in English for the first time. An English version of Rondo of Blood never happened on its original platform. In brief: Limited Run Games is working on a physical retro release of Castlevania: Rondo of Blood, an earlier entry in the Castlevania series that never got an English release in its original format. Castlevania: Rondo of Blood launched in Japan on October 29, 1993, for the PC Engine’s CD-ROM add-on. The game casts players in the role of protagonist Richter Belmont as he sets out to save his lover from Dracula. Rondo of Blood was remade for the Super Nintendo and launched a couple of years later under the title Castlevania: Dracula X. While very similar, it wasn’t technically the same game. Another port, called Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles, arrived on the PlayStation Portable in 2007. The original Japanese version, Akumajō Dracula X Chi no Rondo, is also available on the TurboGrafx-16 Mini that Konami launched last year. Limited Run Games teased the pending release on Twitter, noting that the game would be released on the TurboDuo. And unfortunately, that’s really all we know about it at this hour. The timing is a bit interesting considering Analogue is still planning to launch its gorgeous TurboGrafx console sometime this year. The all-in-one system is designed to play TurboGrafx-16, PC Engine, SuperGrafx, TurboGrafx CD, PC Engine CD-ROM and Super Arcade CD-ROM games, and will do so without emulation.
