William I. Alvarado, Sr. Pastor Sherlock Delph Rev. Randy Lee Wolfgang Rev. William I. Alvarado, Sr. May 15, 1950 – September 1, 2017 William I. Alvarado, Sr., 67, of Levittown, PA entered into God’s eternal rest on Friday, September 1, 2017 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Puntarenas, Costa Rica, William emigrated to the United States and the Trenton area in 1989 and resided in Levittown for the past 17 years. He was married to Maria and was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Pastor Alvarado loved the church, as well as reading the Bible and preaching the gospel. He loved to observe nature. Pastor Alvarado was the pastor of Jesus Christ is Lord Church, a Spanish speaking congregation in Yardville, New Jersey. Dr. Harry F. Wood wrote, “He was a loving and sincere pastor who birthed and nurtured this congregation. He was a collaborator for Christ, ministering in cooperation with Wesley Grove Chapel and Pastor Phil Loria. His effective ministry was an extension of the total dedication of his loving family. His wife, Maria, along with his lovely children, served as true partners in Pastor William’s ministry.” Pastor Sherlock Delph March 12, 1940 – December 3, 2017 Sherlock Hugh Sylvanus Delph was born on March 12, 1940 to Donald and Hagar Delph on the island of Leguan in Guyana. He was the 3rd of 9 children. On April 14, 1973, Pastor Sherlock married the love of his life, Jocele. From their union came three beautiful children, Hazel, Jo-ann and Duane. He was a loving husband, father, and pastor who was devoted to God and truly lived by the motto “Follow me as I follow Christ.” Pastor Harry F. Wood wrote, “Sherlock Delph was truly a great man by all measurements of greatness. He was the speech writer for the Minister of Education in Guyana, but because of his refusal to promote the communist propaganda his life was threatened and he relocated. An immigrant from Guyana, he and his wife came to the United States in 1981 out of necessity. This faithful servant of Christ transplanted his aggressive and dynamic lay ministry to his new land and eventually became the church planter of the congregation in Queens, New York. His life resonated that what we believe matters; truth must be proclaimed and defended. The integrity of his life was not for sale; his love of Christ knew no limits. His zeal for others spiritual growth empowered him, his legacy of influence is a vibrant congregation of Christ’s servants and a generation of young leaders he inspired and mentored.” Rev. Randy Lee Wolfgang December 11, 1956 – August 1, 2017 Rev. Randy Lee Wolfgang passed away peacefully after a battle with cancer on Tuesday, August 1, 2017. Born in Allentown on December 11, 1956, Pastor Randy was a son of Reverend Leonard Wolfgang and the late Dolores (Fultz) Wolfgang. He married Cynthia (Cindy) Daniel on August 19, 1978 and was a loving husband to Cindy for 38 years. To this union two children were born, Bethany and Daniel. Pastor Randy graduated from Kentucky Mountain Bible College in 1978. He was the pastor at Seyfert Wesleyan Church in Birdsboro, PA where he loved to minister to his church members who were like family to him. Prior to pastoring at Seyfert, he pastored in Hammond, IN for eight years. In his free time, he enjoyed golfing and even got a Hole in One. He was an avid reader, but his true joy was his family, especially his grandchildren. Dr. Harry F. Wood wrote, “Pastor Randy and Cindy were classic shepherds of the people God entrusted them with. His deep love and kind spirit were the keys to how he pointed people to faith in Jesus Christ. This was a man in whom there was no guile. His community ministry was impactful. The ministry God established through him was marked by an endless history of acts of mercy and tender compassion to so many in need. To know this servant of Christ was to love
