SPECIFICATIONS FOR BLUE WOVE IN REELS FOR MAKING OF INLAND LETTER CARDS

Dust should be eliminated from all sources as far as possible. 2. Mineral filling should not cause corrosive or abrasive damage to trans or means. 3. Dimensional stability and flatness has to be maintained in ambient conditions of 20% to 80% relative humidity and from 15 to 30 degrees Celsius. 4. When properly excited by UV light (365 nm), the fluorescent emission measured between 500 and 650nm should not be higher than 20% of the fluorescent light emitted under the same condition by a reference samples supplied by the contractor (TOL 87323).

25 Printability and : 1. Paper should show good printability Performance 2. Should be free from fluff, foreign material etc,. 3. Paper surface should be compatible for printing inks and should not create any problem for the ink shade and ink drying. 26 Paper Strength : The paper should be strong enough to run without web breaks at the speed of 180 to 200 meters per minute on machines having turner bars.

27 Run-ability : The paper should smoothly run through the formatting tools of Inland Letter Card Machines giving sharp cut edges at the speed of 180 – 200 meters per minute. 28 Feathering : Not to be present.

29 Joints : Joints to be kept to the minimum but in no case should not be more than 3 (three) per Reel. These should be indicated by coloured flags projected out. 30 Paper Winding : Should be tight and uniform from core to the outer edge. There should not be coning or telescoping due to bad winding. 31 Static Electricity : Should be free from static electricity. 32 Paper Edges : No bursting at edges due to tension and caliper variation and rough cutting from blunt slitting. 33 Packing : 1. The Cores should be strong enough to with stand the strain of the rough handling of reels while in transit. Suitable Wooden Plugs should be used on both sides of the cores. The edges of the reels should be protected by at least 5 (five) layers of ‘L’ shaped rigid corrugated packaging on both sides of the reel compulsorily in order to prevent the damages to the reels while in transit or while handling. The top and side of the reels should be first wrapped at least by one layer or polythene sheet then by two layers of corrugated paper and finally by Hessian cloth.

2. A Label showing the Manufacturer’s Name, Date of Manufacture, Lot and Reel Number, Gross Weight, Net Weight and Description of the Paper, Purchase Order Number and its date should be pasted outside the Hessian Cloth and above top sheet of each reel. The Lot Number, Reel Number and Net Weight of the reel should be mentioned on one side of the reel nearer to the core for easy identification..

Financial standing

10. Has the bidder (principal manufacture in case the participating firm is an Agent) attached supporting documents regarding Financial standing like – Balance Sheets, Profit & Loss Statements, Income Statement etc. for the required financial years as asked in the Tender.
