ORGANIZATION OF NOR The organizational structure for the registry is depicted below. Sponsor Governance Board Expert Steering Committee/ Panel Technical Support Team Source Data Providers User group (Hospitals) vii LETTER FROM THE PRINCIPAL INVESTIGATOR The National Obstetrics Registry (NOR) is one of the largest obstetric databases in the world to date. Since its inception in 2009, the database has expanded, and I am proud to say that as of October 2016, we have crossed the 1 million mark, which is a major milestone for a rather young registry. NOR data has been presented and quoted at local and international conferences and congresses and it is one of the recognized source of information on Obstetric performance in Malaysia. This 4TH report covers the years 2013 to 2015. In 2015 Hospital Segamat, came on board and its data has been included in this report. The format of this report is different to the previous reports as only one chapter is written focusing on a single theme. We looked at Stillbirth in tandem with World Health Organization’s theme for 2016 “Making every baby count”. In 2016 NOR collaborated with the International Consortium of Health Outcome Measures (ICHOM) based in Harvard, Boston Massachusetts to develop a Standard set of variables which could be used to benchmark performance internationally as well as locally. Posters and oral presentations using NOR data had been presented at local and international conferences namely; International Federation of Gynaecology and Obstetrics (FIGO) at Vancouver Canada, ICHOM conference in London, UK, RCOG World Congress in Birmingham, UK and RCOG World Congress in Cape Town, South Africa, to name a few. Most of our presentations have been shortlisted for honourable mention. Three manuscripts have been published this year of which 2 are in international journals. The total data analysed in this 4th report was 415,021 deliveries. Data cleaning and analysis of this enormous data was undertaken by the CRC team. Kudos to the core team from CRC for all the hard work to make this 4th report a reality. I would like to thank the site coordinators, site assistants and the O&G Heads of Department of the participating hospitals for their dedication and continuous support to NOR. A special mention of thanks to the manager of NOR Dr Shamala for her continued dedication which is instrumental in the success of NOR My heartfelt gratitude to the Director General of Health and the Clinical Research Centre,
