FLUSHING, NY – FEB 15, 2019: The Consulate General of Malaysia attended a dinner hosted by the Malaysian United Group (MUG) at Good Fortune Restaurant on 15 February 2019. Around 300 participants attended the event in conjunction with the Chinese New Year celebration.

MANHATTAN, NY – JAN 31, 2019: The Ladies’ Association of the Permanent Mission of Malaysia in New York (PERWAKILAN New York) undertook a study visit to the Consulate General of Malaysia in New York to learn about the functions and services provided by the Consulate General. 19 members of

“Kita Sekampung” Luncheon

FREEHOLD, NJ – NOV 3, 2019: In collaboration with the Consulate General of Malaysia in New York, a “Kita Sekampung” luncheon was held in Freehold, New Jersey on 3 November 2019. The luncheon was organised on a voluntarily basis by a group of Malaysians aimed to connect Malaysians in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Around 50 Malaysians and their families attended the luncheon.

This year’s event was participated by around 50 home based staff and locally recruited staff from the Permanent Mission of Malaysia to the United Nations and the Consulate General of Malaysia, as well as their family members and Malaysians who are residing in New York. The event has served as a good platform for recreation and to foster harmonious relations between Malaysians in New York.

Consul General Jeremiah Oliver Jitos took the opportunity to mingle with Malaysians attending the luncheon. Most of the Malaysians who attended the luncheon had expressed their appreciation to the Consulate General of Malaysia in New York for taking its time to meet with Malaysian diaspora in other States. During the luncheon, the Consulate General also encouraged all Malaysians to help in promoting Visit
