League results Rosedale Premiership Match day 11 ================================== Lower Tadfield Apocalypse - Sheffield Thursday 3 : 0 Scorers: Prof. Fred Windbright (37.), Mrs. Deirdre Young (43.), Anthony J. Crowley (77.) ***--- Top against bottom at Tadfield Manor, with an easy home win as the result. Les Gaulois - Car Park Rangers 1 : 0 Scorers: Zerozerosix (1.) ***--- Booked: Obelodalix ***Bruce Wayne Car Park Rangers were weakened by suspensions, allowing Les Gaulois to dominate this game completely. The scored only seconds after the match had started, but through very solid defending, the away team managed to limit the scoreline to just 1-0. Erkrath Gladiators - Mishima Zaibatsu 1 : 1 Scorers: Martin Roos (58.) ***Keiji (45.) Penalties: - ***- (1 missed) A rather even game at Kampfbahn an der Gink, where the teams defended properly throughout the first half, only to have Keiji sneak in a leading goal right before the whistle. Martin Roos equalised in the second half, and as the away team missed their penalty, both teams get one point. Desassossego Blues - Brazil Star Conquerors 0 : 0 Booked: Fernando Pessoa ***--- Little happened in this game, and whereas the home team was a little stronger, a goalless draw was the only meaningful result that could come from this match. Flaaklypa FK - World Ambassadors 0 : 1 Scorers: --- ***Mike Mehaffey (17.) Booked: Ludvig, Rudolf Blodstrupmoen ***--- A close game at Krokryggen, where the Stabbers successfully converted their small play advantage into a one-goal win, despite the home team working harder for the points. Camarilla Divided - Sleep Wanderers 2 : 1 Scorers: Bill the Mighty Brujah (31.), The horse hider (27.) ***Sean 'Legend' Fitzpatrick (42.) The Night Terrors were tied up and strangled by suspensions, but with a bit of luck, they managed to only lose this game by one goal. If they can get that good results out of poor play later on, they should be up for points with their full roster available! Rosedale Premiership Match day 12 ================================== Sheffield Thursday - Camarilla Divided 1 : 3 Scorers: Rickie Weeks (90.) ***Jehad 'the way out' bin Rajab (52., 69.), 'Martin' (6.) Ironically, the Milwaukee Brewcrew had to watch two players with connections t o Milwaukee score three goals against their own team - Rickie Weeks managed to limit the win with a late game goal, but the Owls really need to pick up pace to have any hope of survival in the top flight. Flaaklypa FK - Sleep Wanderers 0 : 2 Scorers: --- ***Sean 'Legend' Fitzpatrick (69.), Hippolyta Hall (55.) Penalties: - ***- (1 missed) Booked: --- ***Bast, Sean 'Legend' Fitzpatrick With their entire lineup back for this game, the Night Terrors didn't disappoint, but despite missing a penalty came through to win the game. For some reason, they're getting a lot out of their chances nowadays - should we expect a climb up the table? Desassossego Blues - World Ambassadors 0 : 0 Penalties: - ***- (1 missed) Booked: Coelho Pacheco ***--- Athena Stadium hosted a match where the team were pretty much exactly even - anything except a draw in this game would've been a robbery, although 1-1 would've depicted the match better. Erkrath Gladiators - Brazil Star Conquerors 7 : 2 Scorers: Jonathan Culham (1., 33., 85.), Paul Koenig (62., 76.), Benjamin Koehnen (58.), Martin Roos (11.) ***Kaka (70.), Cesar (13.) Booked: Rolf Hanns ***Juan The Lunatics dominate this game completely and win deservedly, and remain a main contender in the race for medals this season. Brazil Star Conquerors lag slightly, but may come back a lot stronger when they get a double home game weekend... Les Gaulois - Mishima Zaibatsu 0 : 1 Scorers: --- ***Cato (86.) Booked: Aplusbegalix, Zerozerosix ***Donald Henderson A key match between the two closest chasers behind the Apocalypse, and as the game turned out, the home team did show themselves the stronger contender. However, the away team got very lucky in defense, and with a goal by newly purchased Cato right before the end, the robbery by daylight came through. Lower Tadfield Apocalypse - Car Park Rangers 1 : 1 Scorers: Pepper (34.) ***Sue Storm (32.) Booked: --- ***Bruce Wayne, Yuriko Oyama The home team feed Trion for good luck, but that didn't help them anything at all - despite a strong play advantage, they could only score one goal, and have to share the points with the visiting Powers. Lexington League Match day 11 ============================== Twin Peaks Owls - First Men of Rome 3 : 4 Scorers: Audrey Horne (55.), Albert Rosenfield (22.), Josie Packard (4.) *** Attia (33., 56.), Titus Pullo (22., 43.) Booked: --- ***Remus, Tortuous Convolvulus The Toga Boys miss a suspension, and ends up feeding Trion all of seven points for good measure. However, that didn't prove fatal, as they still managed to be a bit stronger than the Twin Peaks Owls even at One-Eyed Jacks. Winning games like these should be a good indication that despite being placed 7th on the table, they are to be considered a prime contender for promotion! the Professors of Jazz - The 5 Percent Community 1 : 2 Scorers: Louis Armstrong (1.) ***Christian Ruud (47., 54.) Booked: Sonny Rollins, Thelonious Monk ***--- The Greedy Retards also feed Trion, and only barely manage both points here - the Professors of Jazz took an early lead and held it all through the first half - only through fresh investor Christian Ruud's raids in the early second half did T5PC manage to win. Springfield United - Saturday Morning FC 8 : 1 Scorers: Hulk (31., 56., 65.), Nightcrawler (3., 21.), Cyclops (73.), Gambit (12.) ***Scrooge McDuck (71.) Penalties: 1 ***- Booked: --- ***Marvin the Martian, Scrooge McDuck Two teams with five points each face off, and Springfield United show that despite a terrible start to the season, they're now intent on climbing up the table - a strategy well-known to them even back in the days they were called Marvel Comics. Kremlin - Grunts United 10 : 0 Scorers: Eduard Boremtodev (1., 11., 35., 53., 61.), Tigran Zenjarplan (7., 28., 63.), Boris Karrienko (20.), Mikail Strychnin (88.) ***--- Kremlin suddenly start scoring big numbers, managing to cross into the double digits against visiting Greenskins. That the away team couldn't manage to score anything was quite a mystery, but hey - it was not like they could get anywhere even remotely close to ten anyway. Wizards of Oz - Real Johto 6 : 3 Scorers: Adam Gilchrist (6., 9.), Tinman (56.), Steve Waugh (79.), David Boon (68.) ***Poliwhirl (6., 65.), Wartortle (39.) Penalties: 1 ***- Booked: Allan Border, Flying Monkey ***Poliwhirl A really strange match - the away team did certainly get a superior play going, but couldn't quite get their defense to work properly. Perhaps that's the program's way of avenging a poorly formatted teamsheet? :) Gangsters United - FC Mokum 0 : 4 Scorers: --- ***Afellay (50., 60., 73.), Owusu (67.) Booked: Tony Two-Times ***Owusu An even game at Sicilia Stadion, however, only one team knew how to convert chances, and that was the team which was slightly stronger. With a game like this, FC Mokum show they're ready for greater challenges than Lexington League can provide... Lexington League Match day 12 ============================== First Men of Rome - Gangsters United 7 : 0 Scorers: Remus (22., 76.), Vestal Virgin (48., 81.), Lucius Vorenus (48.), Squareonthehypothenus (3.), Titus Pullo (41.) ***--- Booked: Attia, Gastroenteritus, Romulus, Squareonthehypothenus ***Vincent Vega Toga Boys decided the really strongly wanted to win this game, and with the Mobsters in terrible conversion form, they end up with a ridiculously strong scoreline. The win was quite deserved, though, and I expect to see the Toga Boys near the promotion zone soon. Wizards of Oz - FC Mokum 4 : 4 Scorers: Toto (11.), Glenn McGrath (75.), Adam Gilchrist (71.), Hwoarang (28.) ***Ronaldinho (34., 49., 86.), Grot (43.) Booked: Adam Gilchrist ***Afellay, Lara Ronaldinho warms up to the World Champs with a hattrick, but against the Magi, that was only enough for a draw. Methinks Australia could be quite happy with playing even with Brazil in Germany, but that may be a bit harder than this game...? Kremlin - Real Johto 3 : 5 Scorers: Eduard Boremtodev (86.), Tigran Zenjarplan (41.), Mikail Strychnin (37.) ***Tamanta (29.), Hitmonlee (13.), Wartortle (38.), Poliwhirl (4.) Penalties: - ***1 Sent off: Oleg Satin (7.) ***--- Booked: Juri Nikotin ***Cubone, Hitmonchan, Kevin Smith Kremlin go for it in this game, but get Oleg Satin sent off after only 7 minutes, and just 10 men were insufficient to provide much of a challenge to Real Johto. Springfield United - Grunts United 6 : 2 Scorers: Gambit (8., 18., 30.), Nightcrawler (48., 65.), Cyclops (80.) *** Kaboom (74.), Bigbadaboom (58.) Springfield United continue their surge up the table, defeating two of their main rivals for survival in short order. With form like this, it would be rather surprising if they can't hold on to their seat in Lexington for next season.

Juventus v Werder Bremen MATCH PRESS KIT Delle Alpi, Turin Tuesday, 7 March 2006 - 20:45 CET First knockout round - Matchday 8 After staging a remarkable late revival to clinch a 3-2 victory against Juventus on Matchday 7, Werder Bremen travel for the return knowing they only have to repeat their last result in Italy to claim a UEFA Champions League quarter-final place for the first time. Important draw · A 1-1 draw away to Udinese Calcio on Matchday 3 helped the German club qualify from Group C as runners-up to FC Barcelona. A header from Johan Micoud deep into added time two weeks ago means that if Bremen can stay all-square with Juventus in the Stadio Delle Alpi then they can write a new chapter in their club©s history. Juventus blow · The late goal in the Weserstadion was a heavy blow for Fabio Capello's team who had gone behind to Christian Schulz's first-half opener but then struck back with devastating effect as Pavel Nedvěd and David Trezeguet scored twice in the space of nine minutes late on. The match had seemed to have turned in the visitors© favour before Tim Borowski©s clever finish three minutes from time paved the way for a stunning finale. Six wins · Confidence for the Bianconeri in the return game centres on their recent winning form at home in the UEFA Champions League. Since losing 1-0 at home to RC Deportivo La Coruña in the second leg of the 2003/04 first knockout round, they have played seven games in the competition proper, winning seven and drawing one.

  • AC Milan V AEK Athens FC MATCH PRESS KIT Giuseppe Meazza, Milan Wednesday, 13 September 2006 - 20:45CET Group H - Matchday 1
AC Milan v AEK Athens FC MATCH PRESS KIT Giuseppe Meazza, Milan Wednesday, 13 September 2006 - 20:45CET Group H - Matchday 1 There have been few more difficult summers in the history of AC Milan than the one just past but the UEFA Champions League traditionally brings out the best in the Italian giants, and they will be looking to get off to a good start when they take on AEK Athens FC at the San Siro on Matchday 1. • Finishing runners-up in Serie A would normally guarantee an automatic ticket to the UEFA Champions League group stage but a 30-point reduction for Milan's part in a sports tribunal case saw them relegated to third position. That put Carlo Ancelotti's men in the third qualifying round for Europe's premier club competition where they edged past FK Crvena Zvezda 3-1 on aggregate, with Filippo Inzaghi on target in each game. Home comforts • Six-time winners of the European Champion Clubs' Cup, Milan will be hoping to recapture their impressive home form in the competition. Ludovic Giuly's smart finish for FC Barcelona in last season's semi-final first leg, the only goal of the tie, spoiled a run of 12 wins in 13 home games. • They have also been robust starters in each of the last four UEFA Champions League seasons - winning their opening fixture in each case and going on to top the group. Past meetings • Milan faced AEK in the group stage of the 1994/95 UEFA Champions League - the teams have not met in the intervening 12 years and neither have Milan faced any opposition from Greece in that time - when they followed a 0-0 away draw with a 2-1 win in a game that took place in Trieste.

  • Del Piero, Gullit, Conti E Altre 7 Leggende Entrano Nella ‘Hall of Fame Del Calcio Italiano’
