Bendigo Gas Works and Victoria Hill The Bendigo Gas Works remain closed to the public pending a plan to develop the site. The plant is maintained in working order. Victoria Hill continues to recover from the Black Saturday bushfires of 2009, with Council and Parks Victoria recently replacing the fire damaged signage. Victoria Hill was also the focal point of the National Trust’s local activities during their annual Heritage Festival. Victoria Hill’s large and beautiful site is open daily for visitors to enjoy, and guided group tours can be arranged through Central Deborah Gold Mine.
