FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE AsianScientist (Mar. 4, 2019) – Asia has risen rapidly to become a vibrant hub of cutting-edge research and development, driven by talented scientists who continue to push the boundaries of their respective scientic elds. As Asia’s leading publisher of science and technology news, Asian Scientist Magazine seeks to highlight outstanding scientists, innovators and business leaders from the region. https://www.asianscientist.com/2019/03/pr/asian-scientist-100-2019-edition/?fbclid=IwAR0qwfAkcPBWOJoJ-2s8NG9vI7WiPw_bU3zYp8PRigvk3I… 1/7 3/20/2019 2019 Edition Of Asian Scientist 100 Announced | Asian Scientist Magazine | Science, technology and medical news updates from Asia Now into its fourth consecutive year, the Asian Scientist 100 (2019 edition) comprises individuals who have received a national or international prize in 2018 for their scientic research. This prize must involve a competitive selection procedure. This year’s honorees have made signicant contributions to diverse disciplines ranging from materials science to molecular biology and particle physics, with representatives from China, India, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, the Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam. The list is by no means exhaustive but captures the essence of the region’s ingenuity and enthusiasm for science, technology, engineering and mathematics. “We hope that with our yearly publication of the Asian Scientist 100, outstanding researchers from Asia will be recognized for their fervent passion to further scientic knowledge and impact people’s lives,” said Dr. Juliana Chan, editor-in- chief of Asian Scientist Magazine. The list, in no order of merit, is available online here. For media enquiries, please contact Samantha at [email protected]. Annex A – Scientists featured on the Asian Scientist 100 (2019 edition) 1.
